  1. Hi, I use the following to close MAME: $4:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} } I am wanting to add the option to close it via the home-button on the PS4 controller as well as the '4' on the keyboard. Would someone be so kind as to show me how? Thank you in advance.
  2. Yes I already had everything unticked in LaunchBox > Tools > Options > Background Priorities. It is a little annoying but definitely something I can live with if it is unchangeable. Thanks for replying.
  3. In LaunchBox when I have one game selected it shows the generic Viking's Nostalgia theme background I use in BigBox, which I do not want to show in LaunchBox. Though, when multiple games are selected it shows the custom image I have selected in LaunchBox > Tools > Options > Default Background > Use Custom Image:Does anyone know why and how to 'fix' this?
  4. Custom Platform Clear Logos View File Thought I would share in case anyone else is interested in using any of these. These are some of my custom Platform Clear Logos/Wheel Art. Some of these are from platforms that did not have adequate art. Though, most are sub-categories of platforms as I like to break some of my systems up in regions, unlicensed classes and other miscellaneous. I use Viking's Nostalgia videos and plan on making custom background videos to go with some of these in the future. Submitter Dane Submitted 04/01/2018 Category Platform Clear Logos
  5. All the ROMs work fine via the emulator and were launching okay previously so I assume they are okay dumps. I do have the option checked to extract rom archives before running. I'll attach some screen shots to see if anything stands out that I may have wrong: I was having some trouble with some of my SMS games but I discovered there were some JPEG files zipped in with the ROMs so I removed them and then they were fine. Though all my Genesis/MD games are just .bin or .md without any other files included in the .zip files they are in.
  6. This is so weird but the SEGA Mega Drive (Translations) games launch but no other ones do and the settings are all the same for my other Genesis/Mega Drive categories: Actually, all my Mega Drive games are separated by region etc as you can see. All games are stored in their own folders and all are zipped. Would it make a difference if some are .bin and some are .md inside the zip files? As it seems now that only the .bin are opening (launching) but not the .md. I am wondering if there is a setting in Kega Fusion or LaunchBox that can say to open the .md.
  7. I just tried it and it still does not launch. For the love of all things unholy someone please add the X-Arcade to retroarch, haha.
  8. Thank you for your reply. 'Disable fullscreen optimizations' was already unchecked on my Kega Fusion > properties > compatibility tab. I do not see 'dpi scaling' anywhere in Kega Fusion properties or settings.
  9. Sorry to revive this old thread but it will not let me highlight the Render Plugin option in Kega Fusion. My Kega Fusion was working just fine on Windows 10 up until a week ago and now I just cannot get it to work. It works via just the emulator. Though it will not launch from either LaunchBox or BigBox like it did previously. I just refuse to use Retroarch as the controls are absolutely a nightmare if you do not have something like a 360 or PS4 controller, I have the X-Arcade Tankstick and that is purely the reason that keeps me right away from Retroarch. Does anyone know what might be the issue with this Render Plugin option not being accessible?
  10. Actually, I have just tested it on BigBox and the background is kind of funky. The nice shadowing present on the normal background must have been effected upon exporting from your video editing program.
  11. They sure do work for me. You did a mighty fine job my good man, thank you very much.
  12. Hi, would you be able to do an arcade cabinet like the other ones you have done, for, and in the style of the HBMAME logo?
  13. I never would have guessed in a million years that was the issue. I did a search through the forum here and Google first and did not come across that bit of information. It certainly did work and all games launch correctly now. Thank you very much, greatly appreciated.
  14. I am using MAMEUI64 0.195 along with a full 0.195 Split ROM-set. All games work perfectly when selected and played from MAME itself. Though, when I launch therm from LB or BB I get the same error message which is that files are missing as show in the attached image. I have read in other threads on the forum about compatibility issues between older versions of and conflicting sets of MAME/ROMs but mine are matching and compatible. Also, please see attached a screenshot of my emulator settings for Arcade/MAME just in case I have something incorrect there. Thank you in advance.
  15. Great job! It is quicker than a virgin in an Armenian whorehouse and scrolls/navigates smoother than a babies gluteus maximus. I can’t wait until it’s fully completed and implemented.
  16. Actually, I just though of something. Silly me, but I have Bulk Rename Utility on my computer. I've always used it to rename music and shows. I can just select all the files and chose to delete the end parentheses and replace the first parentheses with a hyphen.
  17. Sorry to dredge up an old thread but I was curious if this was ever implemented? I was trying to upload a rom-set today which consists of 2k+ homebrew/hack titles. Many are same game versions that cannot be distinguished after being uploaded without the information in the parentheses included. At 2k+ titles it is too much work to do it manually.
  18. I have another request if I may be so bold. I have just added a separate 'system' into my LaunchBox database, the Brazilian TecToy releases for the SEGA Master System which I scraped at SEGA Master System. I have made an appropriate main system clear logo but it would be cool to have a different video for it. It would be cool to have a video with this image here. If possible it would be fun too to have the TV playing some game-play footage of a crappy TecToy release like SFII. Also, I wish to do the same with the SEGA Mega Drive. It would be cool to have the SEGA Mega Drive 3 like here or here. Though, I am unable to find any good quality images of them so on a more fun and quirky route one could use the TecToy Mega Drive 4 Guitar Idol unit where much better images are available like this or even better with the controllers. For the video you could show some footage of the exciting Show do Milhão?
  19. I do have 2 x PS4 controllers on their way in the post which I purchased about a week ago. Though predominantly I prefer the arcade stick. Even as a kid I preferred the stick(s) that were available for any given console. Thank you very much, that would be great.
  20. Ahh, finally! Thank you. Crazy how I could not find that simple little bunch of information anywhere. Now I just have to figure out the convoluted input setup as I enter down on the down-key for User 1 Down D-pad for the Game Boy Advance and it programs it as keypad2 for example. Haha, good times.
  21. Thank you for your reply. So I go to: LaunchBox > Tools > Manage Emulators > Retroarch (or whichever emulator I want) >then past that in the "AutoHotkey Script" and change the "4" and "2" to whatever I want if I want them different? EDIT: Also, whilst on the topic of the X-Arcade. I simply am unable to figure out how to input controls for each individual platform in Retroarch and I can find not one easy step by step guide on the internet, at all. Surely there must be one and I have just not found it. When I load a core then go to Quick Menu > Controls all it pretty much seems to do is let me change one of the User Device Types to "RetroPad" or "None". How in God's name is one to input their wanted controls? I have seen people mentioning editing .cfg files but is this really how you have to do it with Retroarch? I am starting to think that the devil himself has created Retroarch just to torment us.
  22. How does BigBox exit an emulator? I have read people saying you have to handle that through the emulators themselves but Hyperspin exited everything with ease upon selecting which button you wanted to do it with. I know BigBox is not Hyperspin, but does it not have an option or the ability to assign a button to exit emulators?
  23. Hi everyone, I am having some difficulties with getting my X-Arcade Tankstick to work in BigBox. I have not long converted from Hyperspin, where the X-Arcade was self explanatory and a breeze. Though, unfortunately I am not finding it so here. I have gone to BigBox > Options > Controller > and ticked "Enable Game Controllers" and "Use All Controllers". Where it says "Device:" there is nothing there. Is that because these options only apply to an actual game-pad controller instead of the X-Arcade which is mapped as a keyboard? If so, does that mean in the options I do not worry about "Controller Buttons" but just "Keyboard Mappings" instead? Also, regarding controls, using Nestopia as an example. I have gotten to the stage with BigBox where I can launch Nestopia full-screen into a chosen game but have no idea how to exit out of the emulator back into BigBox. Is someone able to point me in the right direction? Because at least to me it certainly is not obvious how (I am probable just a doofus). I have found other topics in the forum here about the X-Arcade from years ago but there were of little help as they were from a time where LaunchBox/BigBox seemed to not have compatibility issues with the X-Arcade? Thank you in advanced.
