DOS76
So MAME has issues working with the LB controller automation for some reason your best bet is opening a game in MAME hitting tab and setting a 2 button combo to close the program from within MAME itself

Chumpalot
Hi all, Just wanted to say thank you for all the really helpful information and links posted here in this thread. In the last month I've gone from messing with Hyperspin to downloading Launchbox and then a license for BigBox. Great bit of software and I'm looking forward to getting some retro games on the go. I'm sure there'll be questions from me in the future but for now I just wanted to say thanks. Chumpalot.

Lordmonkus
Split, Merged and Non Merged all have the same games in them, they are just packaged up differently for different uses by different users. This diagram shows the differences between them.
Zeaede
Wow thanks for fast respond But don't understand much of that list One set is labeld HBMAME 0.196 ROMs (non-merged) this is 200 gb how know what system it belongs to?
Lordmonkus
HBMame is for Home Brew and Rom hacks, its a completely different set of games and its a different build of Mame.
Zeaede
Im just trying to figure out what of these 15 MAME packs belongs to these 15 systems of MAME If i use RocketLauncher and Hyperspin XML i can sort some systems out but it takes time to do that
Lordmonkus
It's not 15 systems of games, it's one giant pack of rom files with all the games. This is also the CHD packs which is Hard Drive data that is too large to put in a conventional rom, some arcade games had them. There is also the Software Lists which is all the console and computer stuff that Mame emulates. I am assuming you just want a standard set up Mame roms that have all the games. The Merged, Non Merged and Split sets all have the exact same games with all the necessary roms to play all the games (minus some CHDs which some games require). Now which of the Merged, Non Merged and Split sets you want will depend upon how you want to do things. I assume Rocket Launcher and Hyperspin uses the Split sets but I don't know for certain because I don't use either of those programs. Zeaede
Im gonna do all 15 sets i listed above If i set up Sega classic add the xml to Rocketlauncher i can see the name of the zip file and compare it to the pack of that mame Edited April 21, 2018 by Zeaede
Lordmonkus
All those sets are included in a single pack of Mame roms though, they aren't broken out for you for download.
