The Mask
Since LaunchBox-11.12-beta-1, some system fanarts (or background images/videos) that are read from the theme folder have stopped working under eatkinola's main image and video handling plugin. Reinstalling LaunchBox-11.11 fixes the issue. Edited May 31, 2021 by The Mask
dbce
Really since the last stable version, if I leave my machine on Attract mode, it rarely will stay on for more than 3-5 hours. I'll come back and it has closed out Big Box entirely. I've looked at the log files but I don't see any exception information, it's just like BigBox just...stopped. Is there some verbose logging I could turn on to help get to the bottom of this to either contribute it as a bug or find out if there's something local (like bad video or image) causing the issue? I have started an import and download of media files. over 120.000 files and it takes several days. in the meantime I am not able to do most of the other processes like combining games (because it is the same game but different regions) or importing other games. even checking if some media data is missing in the "playlist" with missing videos or clear logos etc is not possible because one process is still ongoing. (btw: I did download Famicom Games at this moment together with a batch of translated ones) pause and resume while launchbox is still active would be awesome addition to it and would maybe end in batching those things to multiple download jobs ? This has been mentioned several times in betas threads and will keep being reminded. If anything is a feature request 3 things are needed. Eventually I will just delete these posts without warning. 1. Do not post in the beta threads. 2. Use the feature Request button at the top of the forum under "Help & Support" 3. Open a new thread in the "Features" sub-forum and link the ticket from the Feature Request site. Beta threads are going to be strictly kept to providing the team feedback on beta features that are working or not. Anything else needs to be posted elsewhere. Chris Kant
Thanks for your reminder about my point on a new feature in the beta which is not fully satisfying or say it better it’s more annoying. So help and support for not implemented functionalities (because it is beta) sounds strange. So where can I give feedback and ideas to beta functionalities bests if not this thread? BTW: the help and support is something like screaming into the wind. Not get its attention not get the feedback and many things are sleeped. but I will not strata fight and understood what you mean - nevertheless the process lags. If you are requesting a new feature, requesting updating an existing feature, or requesting an update to a beta feature the "Request a Feature" is best. These are all by definition a "feature request". If it is about the new beta features and if it fixed a prior issue, has broken something previously working, or the feature is not working as intended that is what the beta threads are for. I know your posts asked if something was possible which is why I did not delete. However, I did feel it was worth a reminder post. Not solely at you, but for us all. The goal is to keep the two devs from having to weed through all unnecessary posts and keep data only related to proper feedback so they can focus on getting betas to a full release state. 52 minutes ago, Chris Kant said: BTW: the help and support is something like screaming into the wind. Not get its attention not get the feedback and many things are sleeped. That's because users do not usually do what is recommended. There are thousands of tickets there and just 2 devs with only 24 hours in a day. If users would do as I mentioned there is a better chance we can track feature requests and better gauge the interest. Posting them here in the beta they get lost worse than they would on our bitbucket.
C-Beats
@SqHd Thanks for the report, we were able to track down the cause, but are still working out the best way to correct. @Chris Kant I could see something like that being useful moving forward, and before it was FAR more difficult to implement, now that we have the beta feature built something like that is far more doable since we have a lot of the pre-requisites now built. It isn't currently planned to implement that this release, but moving forward I would like to make that download process less disruptive. If you would, could you submit a ticket for us detailing what exact processes you are running into that are getting blocked by the image queue? It would be nice to have to keep track of what processes are being affected and give us a place to show progress to users if we don't get them all updated at once. mdreffet
I might of found a bug. If you import some roms and don't hit OK on the first pop-up, about downloading media in the background, and the import completed pop-up comes up and you click OK. The first pop-up won't go away. I then have to force launchbox closed and and restart it. Edited June 14, 2021 by mdreffet

Can you tell me the exact steps you are taking when you get this error message?
C-Beats
Disregard, I was able to get it to replicate and have tracked down the source @SqHd. Thanks for the report!

If so, could you explain in more detail HOW you are getting this to happen so I can hopefully track down a cause? Thanks.
