AstroBob
Hi Folks, Our 11th birthday celebration is almost here! 🎉 🍾 And what better way to celebrate than a party-themed playlist for the Game Discovery Center! 🙌 Throughout this week, we're calling on you, the community to help us curate the ultimate party-themed playlist called: Party Time! 🥳 🍾 🎊 But that's not all, by contributing to this playlist, you could win a fabulous Steam game key! More details on that are below. Suggestions can be games themed around parties and celebrations, or games that are great fits for party settings. Anything from the classics like Super Smash Bros. & Mario Party, to GoldenEye, Overcooked, Rocket League and beyond! Get creative, share your reasoning and let us know what are some of the best party games for you. Once the event is over, we’ll curate a playlist based on your submissions and update you here when it’s live. I'll get us started: Sonic Shuffle: Sure, it's a bit janky but this was my go-to childhood party game! The integration of your playing cards on the VMU was a nice touch 🎴 Party Animals: The most fun I've had online with friends in a long time. My neighbours still give me strange looks when all they hear coming from my place is "Quick, throw the pink gorilla off the train!!!" 🙈 Mario Strikers Charged: The most unabashedly unfair and unbalanced soccer game, and that's why I love it! Anyone remember the toad who can literally backflip hop over the goalkeeper? 🙃 Dokapon Kingdom: An underrated hidden gem, with a unique blend of party and RPG mechanics ⚔️ Worms Armageddon: Friendships were definitely made (and also lost) playing this game. The Banana Bomb still reigns supreme as the best weapon in a video game, period! 🍌 Looking forward to seeing what you share. Let’s get this party started! 🍾 Happy Gaming, The LaunchBox Team Steam Key Giveaway! 🎁 By participating in this event, you’ll have the chance to pick a prize from a pool of Steam keys! We know everyone has different gaming tastes, so we’re letting the winners choose a game that means the most to them. Here's a sneak peek at some of the keys up for grabs, we can't reveal all of them but rest assured a nice variety will be on offer, including some unreleased games! 😱 Rules ℹ️ How Can I Enter? Post in this thread sharing between 1-5 of your favourite party games of all time. Please limit your entry to a single post. Does it matter if someone already submitted my game of choice? No, it doesn’t matter! Submitting the same game as someone else is perfectly fine, and we encourage it. How Will Winners Be Selected? Winners will be chosen at random from all unique posts at the end of the event. Can I Post More Than Once? You can chat on the topic, but only your game submission post counts as an entry. Please refrain from adding multiple game submissions as separate posts, as this WILL NOT increase your chances of winning. Event Duration The event runs until August 31, 2024, after which the thread will be locked, and a winner will be chosen. How Will I Know If I’ve Won? The winner will be notified via direct message on the forum. 1 3
MrDeKat
Wii Sports: For a decade, there was no family gathering or party without this game. 🎾 Pro Evolution 6: Some friends, some pizzas, some beers and this game, was all that you needed to enjoy a good weekend. ⚽ Uno: The legendary game for the holidays, but without having to buy the cards. 🎴 Athens 2004: I could name any game from the Olympics, but this was the one I played the most with friends. 🏅 Super Mario Kart: Throwing a red shell at the right moment could destroy a friendship. 🏎️

JereBear
Wii Sports - Classic. Even my grandparents got a wii for this. The Jackbox Party Pack 1-10 - Each pack contains at least one game within that's a blast. Mount Your Friends - This is tons of fun. Just watch out for the genitals. The Game of Life (2016)- Just like the board game but up on the bigscreen. The kids loved this. Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes - One of the first games I got with my VR and the family had a great time swapping in and out to solve the puzzles. JoeViking245
Taking a little bit of a different course. When someone says games and Party Time, I think Pinball!! Addams Family (Bally 1992): The most sold pinball machine of all time. Attack From Mars (Bally 1995): Just plain fun to play. Cyclone (Williams 1988): I spent many hours playing this table in college. Eight Ball Deluxe (Bally 1981): This table is a classic in its own rights. Riverboat Gambler (Williams 1990): Music that makes you feel 'happy' and straight forward gameplay. 1 1 1

Gill Figno
Here are some of my favorite 4+ Player games. Sonic Shuffle: This is my favorite literal "Party" genre game. The CPU is so rigged, but it's has some really fun mini-games and the Soundtrack is great. Halo: Combat Evolved: Lots of fond memories playing Split-screen and LAN back when it came out. Super Smash Bros. Melee: Same with this game, much improved from the N64 original, and still the best in the series. I liked the multiplayer, but unlocking the statues is the best part. Power Stone 2: Great "Arena" style fighting game for Dreamcast for 4 players that gets crazy hectic during some of the stages. Dungeon Explorer: A classic co-op 5-player game similar to Gauntlet with an amazing soundtrack and great graphics.
Kondorito
These are games we played with friends over the years. Let me just say these brought the worst out of us XD Super Mario Kart (SNES): we got violent every time, with the baloon popping minigame. Blur (Xbox 360): split screen in 4, and tried to kill each other with the power ups instead of actually finishing the races. The Overcooked franchise (Nintendo Switch): did I already mentioned we got violent with these party games? LostArc79
So many fantastic games have already been listed but I'll name a few of my favorites: Fuzion Frenzy (XBox): I remember getting this on a demo disk (or did it come with halo!?) and playing twisted towers over and over with my buddies. The game is still a lot of fun and is easy to pick up and understand. Duck Game (PC): fast paced brutal deathmatch. It's easy to understand but very hard to master (when you play good players). It can get very competitive and hilarious. Bomberman 64 (N64): I've always been a fan of the bomberman series but this game has so much nostalgia. Pumping up bombs to make them large and throwing them at people while fireballs are shooting down from the sky is so much fun. Rocket League (PC/Xbox/Switch/PS5-4): who would of thought a driving game fussed with soccer would work? What a lot of people don't know is this game is actually the sequel to the 2008 game, Battle-Cars on Playstation 3. Surprisingly, Battle-Cars did not review well but they decided to make the sequel regardless because of the fan base. Mario Golf (N64): Still one of my favorite games to this date. The music and game play is so relaxing and it's an easy pick up for all skill levels. Highly recommend to try it out if you haven't already! Other favorites: Goldeneye, Halo series, Worms, Super Smash (n64/switch), wii sports, jackbox (the go to games for family events), heads up!, and powerstone 2 Edited August 26 by LostArc79
Acethor
Trine: A lesser known co-op side-scrolling puzzle game similar to The Lost Vikings ❄️ Nine Parchments: Another lesser known co-op puzzle game by the same developer (Frozenbyte) 🗞️ Left 4 Dead 2: Still one of the best multiplayer survival horror games to this day. The community is still strong and the gameplay never gets old! 🧟♂️ Unreal Tournament 2004: So many good memories 🚀 Warcraft 2: Used to play on LAN with my older brother back in the day, we'd create custom maps with lots of forests and then use our villagers to chop down trees and carve secret tunnels where we'd try to survive with a small army against the AI players😆
MarianS3
Whether it was for a holiday or just to get together and play, Mortal Kombat and The King of Fighters games and without a doubt some soccer game, for example Pro Evolution Soccer every year, were the ones we always ended up playing, among many others. A list with only five games to have a blast would be the following 👇 👍 Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 『 SEGA GENESIS / ARCADE 』 Mortal Kombat II 『 SEGA GENESIS / ARCADE 』 The King Of Fighters '98 『 PLAYSTATION / ARCADE 』 The King Of Fighters '99 『 PLAYSTATION / ARCADE 』 Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 (and every year) 『 PLAYSTATION 2 』 Edited August 26 by MarianS3
