JaredN Posted yesterday at 01:17 PM Posted yesterday at 01:17 PM Hello, In the screensaver, the Nintendo DS videos aren't centered. Strangely enough, the vertical arcade videos—which have relatively similar aspect ratios—are centered. Thank you so much for all your hard work! Screensaver.mp4 Quote
Retrofrogg Posted yesterday at 05:02 PM Posted yesterday at 05:02 PM When opening PDFs in the internal viewer, it sometimes renders the aspect ratio of the PDF incorrectly, in particular if there are a mix of portrait and landscape pages in the PDF. Quote
Juganawt Posted yesterday at 08:16 PM Posted yesterday at 08:16 PM I have a few minor nitpicks in regard to the new In the new clear cassette model (which, as a massive ZX Spectrum and C64 fan, I am extremely thankful for!). There is a weird issue with the transparency and the reflective layer. There are these weird triangles on the corners of the box which are completely transparent and are not consistent with the rest of the model. When looking through the transparent sides of the model, you can clearly see a mirrored version of the inlay, which looks a bit off. It'd be a nice feature if we could add a new type of image that shows what was actually on the inverse of the cassette overlay, or maybe even populate the model with a cassette in various colours. Also, I'd love a double cassette jewel case model - many games had 2 cassettes side by side inside the jewel case, with 2 separate sets of cassette-holding prongs on the inside (4 prongs in total). Also, I'd like to see clam shell models. The ZX Spectrum and C64 had a variety of clam shell boxes from various companies, most notably the small, hard clamshells used by Imagine, Ocean and Datasoft, but also wider, softer clams from companies such as Mind Games, Mirrorsoft etc. Finally, in the Images section of media, we currently have to assign cassette images as "Cart" or "Disc"s in the "Cart Front" and "Cart Back" image categories. It'd be nice if there was a properly labelled subcategory for cassette tapes as well. Still, as I said, these are very minor nitpicks, and aren't deal breakers in any way, but it'd be nice to clean things up a little and give us more versatility in accurately showing off the games in Launchbox. View < Media < Auto-Play Videos (Ctrl+Alt+V) 1 Quote
erebus316 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago thanks again Joe that first fix did it. I had turned on show videos under view > media > autoplay. In previous versions that was all you needed to do. Thanks 1 Quote
Fabiolou Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago In version 13.28 Beta 6, Big Box generates a text substitute for the transparent Sega Master System (Tec Toy) logo, even with the ClearLogoImagesFolder configured and a valid PNG in `Images\Platforms\...\Clear Logo`; it only works if the file in `Images\Cache-BB\` is manually replaced. Big Box playlist video issue: Super Mario Collection.mp4 plays audio only, with no video, in the custom view PlatformWheel1FiltersView.xaml. The same MP4 file works in other playlists and displays correctly in LaunchBox, so the issue does not appear to be related to the file or codec. Tested on version 13.28 Beta 6 using the available engines: VLC Media Engine and Windows Media Player. The problem appears to be specific to Big Box, playlist video playback, and possibly the new Media Engine. Quote

Please look for a .wer file along with a .dmp, .mdmp, or .hdmp file from the time of the crash in any or some of these folders: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive (or ReportQueue) C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive (or ReportQueue) C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\CrashDumps for a BigBox*dmp file The crash dump is the important file. If none exists we may need to enable dump tracking in windows. Which you can do by: Open regedit Create the key/folder "BigBox.exe" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps\BigBox.exe Create the DWORD value "DumpType" with a value of 2. Then if you can get it to crash again, look for the above files. The crash dump can contain personal data so you may want to send it to us private via email, DM, or featurebase bug report but collect the .wer, the .*dmp, and the log files in the launchbox logs folder. I am running the latest beta and just had the normal crash I've and others have been getting. Here are the files you requested. I will try using WMP also. zenanomaly Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Small potatoes bug that's persisted for a while involves Retroachievements and the Famicom Disk System. On individual view, games with cheevos hash correctly and are added to the RA playlist, but doing a system or entire library cheevo scan removes them from the RA playlist. Only FDS is affected, and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with RA separating FDS from NES/Famicom as its own platform. Noted especially since there's an FDS devjam in the works with a slew of games getting cheevo sets. Quote
