Hi Napalm Yep! I had exactly the same issue! I did a bit of searching on here and found a thread about it ( You need to have a mess around with your GameMarqueeView and PlatformMarqueeView xaml files in the views folder. I copied the code from the thread and managed to get some of the marquees displaying perfectly. I've not built my cabinet yet so I shelved it at that point with a view to coming back to it and sorting it out properly when the cabinet is built. However, if you get futher than me and get it sorted then please let me know what mods you made as I've obviously got the same display as you and it'll save me a big headache! Cheers

There's another one been put up for sale now if anyone is interested: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/28-Stretched-Lcd-Screen/333295216519?hash=item4d99f16787:g:AJMAAOSw8a9cVu0A By the way, I'm not in any way affiliated with the guy who's selling these. I'm just trying to help anyone who wants one as they are very hard to find

I can vouch for Plex as being a really good front-end for movies / TV shows. There's also a program called FileBot which will automagically rename your files in the way that Plex likes (i.e. name of the show - episode - season etc). I use it for all our stuff and it automatically scrapes all the info and media for your TV/film collection. It also installs across multiple devices and syncs them all up so if you start watching something on your iPad and then switch to the TV it remembers where you are up to. It also knows which TV episode you've watched so will start playing the next one in sequence. Plus a ton of other stuff... you could just launch the Plex player from your Launchbox ? ?

**Edit** here's his new listing on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/28-Stretched-Lcd-Screen/333293893842?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160727114228%26meid%3D7d58556e9c724d9e9017eb17fb845bdc%26pid%3D100290%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D333293893842%26itm%3D333293893842%26pg%3D2060778&_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507 Hope I'm okay posting that here. Just delete it if not. I spoke to the guy who sold me the dynamic marquee over the weekend. He's got a few more for sale. Some with some marks on them and others that are perfect. So, if you want one, keep an eye on eBay or give me a shout and I'll pass on his details.

** EDIT ** I'm an idiot and have now found the appropriate documentation. Game View 1 - The main vertical game wheel view. This view determines which type of media a platform has, and displays its appropriate animation. Game View 2 - Vertical game wheel with spinning disc based animation (this view is redundant, and only use if a platform is not displaying its spinning disc in Game View 1. Game View 3 - Vertical game wheel is basic animations (the most mainstream view). Game View 4 - Vertical game wheel with no Box image or Cart/Disc image. Designed to allow your game specific backgrounds/graphics to take center stage. I've obviously got mine set to Game View 2 - I'll change that later when I get home from work. I've just installed Retrotastic and the theme looks brilliant. When I'm on the wheel a big box slides down the right hand side. Then a smaller box comes out of the box and slides off the screen. This box then begins to spin and eventually comes back up the screen (see photo). Is this how it's meant to look? I wondered if the smaller box image was suppose to be a disk or something (not sure if the disk would make sense in the context of arcade games but just wondering out loud)? Thanks ?

Thanks Retro. I've had another look at it based on your info and you're completely right (as always) - it is because my Classic Arcade is just a playlist from my "Every Arcade Game" platform. So it's getting marquee images from the "Every Arcade Game" platform! Thanks again for all your help :-)

Hi all, I've got two systems - one has a full set of MAME roms and the other (called "Classic Arcade") just has all my favourites - mainly LordMonkus's brilliant All Killer No Filler list and a few others that I like. In the "Launchbox/Images/Arcade" folder of my Classic Arcade set there are no images but when I cycle through the games some of the marquees are appearing? Anyone know where BB is getting these images from? Some are correct and some are stretched/corrupted so I need to find them in order to start the long process of finding/making correct marquee images for all the games? Does BB search all image folders for marquees if it can't find them? I had assumed it looked in the "Arcade - Marquee" folder but that is empty for my Classic Arcade system? Anyone know how it's working? Thanks for any help you can give me. :-)

This was the auction: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/28-Stretched-Lcd-Screen/333222835318?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 The guy is called "cutho" but I've just looked up their items and there's nothing for sale at the moment: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/cutho/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from= Definitely worth keeping an eye on eBay though as you do get them coming up for sale now and again :-)

Hi all, I've just received my dynamic marquee LCD. I got it from eBay for £120 (incl. shipping) and I'm really pleased with it (see photos I made after quickly setting it up). By the way, to add a marquee screen (just in case you're wondering as I didn't know how to do it and it took me a bit of Googling to find it) you go in to BigBox and set the following setting inside General options... Here's the dynamic marquee in action..... I just wondered if anyone has a proper set of marquees for all the systems? And a comprehensive set for all the games on different systems? I've found this site: http://www.progettosnaps.net/marquees/ which I'm hoping is all the MAME marquees? (I can't download for another 5 hours according to MegaDownload - so will have to wait to find out). I also found these on the LB download page: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/category/19-game-marquee-images/ However, I also run Pinball FX, all the Atari systems etc etc and wondered if anyone has a really good collection of marquees they would be happy to share with me? (or point me to where I could get them). Many thanks for any help you can give me. Cheers John :-)

I hear ya mate. It's frustrating if you vote for something and the sentiment isn't shared. But, take heart mate, Jason is the brilliant at enhancing the software and I'm sure he'll fire through some of the requested mods pretty quickly. You'll get your marquee support soon enough. Alternatively, keep an eye on flea-bay. I just bought a 28" Litemax stretched bar LCD tonight for £100 in full working order for my new build I'm starting. They do come up. Just set a reminder in your phone to check once a week or whatever ?

I'm an ex-hyperspin user AND a cabinet builder and I get more than I've ever got from a front-end with LaunchBox/BigBox. If you pine for Hyperspin then you are clearly not understanding just how easy Big Box is mate. Please just give it a proper go. Try the YouTube tutorial and spend literally 20 minutes and you'll be up and running. It is really really really REALLY simple! I was amazing at how easy it is to set up. It makes tinkering a pleasure rather than a chore. Just make the leap!! (Don't worry - I'll catch ya!) ?

Yesss!! My favourite "Integrate MAME High Scores and Show Community Scores" is in the Top 20!! Thanks to everyone who voted for it. And a massive thanks to Jason for making it happen! Just look after yourself @Jason Carr - don't take any unnecessary risks - try and stay away from busy roads and high places - if possible don't leave the house at all - you carry my dreams in your pockets - (thank you!) :-) :-) :-)

That looks really smart!! I like it. I really like the style of it. Although it doesn't mention BigBox on their page so not sure if it's compatible. Thanks for the links though. It's a possibility if an LCD screen is too expensive or I can't find one the right size. Cheers! ?

Hi all, I'm just in the planning stages of my new super-duper-build! I would love an LCD marquee but have no idea what size to get. I'm building my cabinet from scratch so can adapt it to suit any size (within reason). My cabinet can house a screen up to 28" (roughly). Does anyone know what aspect ratios are supported by BigBox and/or have links to any suitable monitors? I did see monitors that were 21:9 ratio but that puts the vertical at around 11" which seems quite tall? But, then again, I'm not sure if that's what BigBox needs to use? Any help / guidance on this would be much appreciated as I'm completely in the dark with it all. Many thanks John ?

Great list. I would love more focus on community high scores and comparing your scores with other players. I used to love competing against my son-in-law but he's not played for ages (since I hammered his Donkey Kong score!) Would love to use high score tables to inspire me to try new games and see where I can get to on the table. It would be like playing against a load of mates. :-)

I'm not sure what's going wrong with your setup for American Laser Games but, for the light guns, I use the AimTrak ones from Andy at Ultimarc.com I've found them to be really good so far. I had to open them up and put in stronger springs but, apart from that, they are superb. Cheers
