Every time I launch the exe file of LB or BB, I get this message first. Second time it works. Launching from external disk.

Just mirror with exclusions. I use ViceVersa to sync, and I exclude several folders that I don’t wanna be synced.

I use MAME in RetroArch version 210, and it's working just fine. I changed recently because I had this unsolvable problem with key mapping in standalone MAME.

My advice, use a different one like HyperSpin, mGalaxy, GameEX, Maximus Arcade... I paid 50$ for the forever license and I also think it's a very fair price, don't know where you see this over 100$ price tags?

I’m using both brands, and the end result is the same, reliability is equal imo. I make a backup of my 5TB LB disk mostly every time I make major changes to it.

When running a CDTV image through FS-UAE, I only get the setup screen, nothing more. Kickstarts are all present though. I only have 3 games I wanna run through CDTV, other stuff like floppy, disk or CD32 run fine. Any idea?

I have no lags or whatsoever navigating through 1000 of SNES games. Your laptop specs are fine.

Plus in RetroArch you will have to configure depending on the core you use.

After investigating further, I found out that those files are also kind of duplicates. I checked f.ex. for game A1 and found image box_3d_a1.png under Images\3DBoxArt of that platform. If you then check under the folder f.ex. Images\3DBoxArt\World of that same platform, there's exactly the same file existing. So LB decides which one of those it takes, the one from the root Images folder, or the one in said region folder, thus making one of them obsolete, duplicate.

I shows me basically only with Amiga games which I only added recently, around 1.000 games. It shows me that it are those files, why would they not be in use?

Depends on your hardware, I'm running it on a Intel NUC Hades Canyon and it runs absolutely fine, in my opinion. (Check my last post in the thread below). I have nothing installed on internal, only downside is, if a new version of LB is out, you have to fiddle around a bit, not to mess it up, so I do that manually.

A lot of PS3 PSN games have .edat or .rap files, not every single game, but many. Most of them are .edat, and like bundangdon mentioned, put them in said folder, after that games will run.

When I run the clean up media, it shows me a lot of files that are marked "file not in use". Can I safely remove those?

I would just overwrite the old set, as the game names remain exactly the same. Although from 209 to 219 more stuff could have changed. I went through the whole set, mine is 210, and kept only the games I want, actually still quite many, and I won’t change anymore, don’t really bother if some game has been added or updated, as they all work fine. Messing around can unfortunately cause problems, problems that I don’t necessarily have the time for to fix ?

Thought so, as trying it on a monitor won’t do it. Will have to try on the beamer, see if it does it there too. But I don’t wanna fiddle around with the TV settings, as I would have to change it every time I wanna watch TV or movies or gaming because which video setting would that be? As it would probably change that in general. But it also passes through my receiver first, perhaps there’s a setting for that specific channel.

Well this happend in both versions, standalone and RetroArch. When switching to fullscreen, MAME crops the top and the bottom, so that you only see half of your score at the top, and f.ex. only half of the Insert Coin at the bottom. I tried several settings, but it doesn't change. Resolution is set to 1920x1080, and I'm using it on a TV (set to 1920x1080), and not a monitor. I tried IntegerScale and CropOverscan, changed resolutions, custom aspect ratios, but nothing works. Any ideas? Thanks.
