  1. The RA ones are under Retroarch\saves and all the games not using RA are found in their respective emulator folder.
  2. I noticed that the clean up media option resolves the problem and removes the empty folders again, but I don't want to have to do it every time I add 1 game.
  3. I like to keep my images folders clean, so I wiped all the ones I don't need. I never us f.ex. Flyers, Carts, Discs, Steam, Origin, GOG... When I download new images, not needed ones unchecked, LaunchBox creates those empty folders again automatically. Is there a possibility/option that LaunchBox doesn't do it? Thanks.
  4. I just updated now and this time it worked fine 😏 Strange. It says indeed Launch Mode: Portable in the command window. The updates.json files point to the correct update file. Thanks for help.
  5. I'm using Ryujinx in portable mode and everything works fine. Only problem I have is with updates, whenever there's a new update and I chose to automatically update, it creates a folder in Windows AppData and renames my old files in my actual "portable" folder to .ryuold The updater doesn't seem to detect that I use it in portable mode and always creates a new folder, which leaves me not using the automatic update but download it manually from the site and extracting to where it is installed. Does someone use it in portable mode and managed to get it updating correctly? Thanks.

  7. I don’t use RetroArch for computer systems, as I have exactly the same issues like you. You definitely want to have a separate keyboard instead of having it on-screen for computers. For some people it’s less practical, as it obviously is on a handheld, but if you have a keyboard anyway lying around, it’s much better. I’m using WinVice for C64 and it works great. I think RetroArch is absolutely great for emulating consoles though, with it’s cores getting better and better.
  8. I have the same issue when I try with my PS2 games, it gives me this strange extended path with the backslash :\Games and it stays that way, no possibility to change, besides editing the xml.
  9. Merge the files with audio tracks using CDMage thus ending up having just one cue/bin file. After that you should convert to either .chd or like me .pbp format.
  10. You can delete the .zip file (or archive) if you want, although it needs the .zip also to uninstall the game.
  11. Here's a good site to search for your ROMs, just type the name of the game or the MAME cryptic game into the search bar and you'll get the results needed. http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/default.php
  12. You should try with chdman if it converts your ccd/sub to .chd, which is probably the best format. I'm using .pbp for PSX games, but I think Duckstation is not supporting .pbp files yet. Put chdman.exe in a folder and use it with a batch (for ccd): for /r %%i in (*.ccd) do chdman createcd -i "%%i" -o "%%~ni.chd" Then try to run it once it's created to see if it works. I also suggest to merge your games with different .track files into one single file using CDMage, looks a lot cleaner that way. After that you can also convert them to .chd files using the same method with (*.cue) instead. It involves a lot of work, but once you're done you will be glad you did it.
  13. You have several versions of the ROMs, does LB know which one to run? Otherwise it probably just open Demul and asks you to select one.

What does it say in your default command line? Mine is /load.
  15. I disabled the hotkey now, then the keyboard works fine. But now I don't have hotkey on my controller. Would be nice to set up hotkeys per peripheral. Or like the hotkey ONLY works for the controller and the keyboard stays untouched, because why would I need to have hotkeys enabled for my keyboard?
  16. Use the online updater in RetroArch and install the Handheld Electronic (GW) core.
  17. I think I was asking it here too already, seems a mandatory feature and probably "easy" to implement. The other thing I asked already several times, see one actual post a bit lower, I would like to export single games, or multiple without the .xml file getting overwritten. I exported once around 200 PS2 games, so you can imagine the time it takes, so when I wanted to add 5 others, I found myself only with those 5 games in my LB library and had to redo the whole process again with 205 games. The games stay untouched, as is the media, but the platform .xml file gets altered with the last exported games which makes no sense to me. At least with the export media only, or just export .xml it would be possible not to go through the whole process of exporting everything. You can backup your old .xml file, copy the content from the new one to it, and copy it back, but that's cumbersome.
  18. If I export f.ex. 3 games, an .xml file is created within the data platform folder. If I now export 3 more games, LB will keep the games and media, but the .xml file is overwritten, meaning the first 3 games are erased. Isn't there a possibility that the existing .xml file gets updated instead of replaced?
  19. I downloaded Viking's theme videos but where does it show them? Also in the new video from ETA it shows him using the Unified Light theme, I don't have it.
  20. I use RA mainly to test games, like versions, translations or if the games are even working. So I start RA, drag&drop the game and use the spacebar to speed it up. I use F for fullscreen or F1 for menu toggle f.ex. I set up a controller with RA now, which works fine, but my keyboard is not working anymore. I don't want to pick up the controller and switch it on every time I test some game. What is the issue? Thanks
  21. WinVice comes with different executables, the older x64 and a newer x64sc, which also features a cycle based and pixel accurate VIC-II emulation. It also has some executables for Plus 4, PET or C128 if you wanna play around 😉 The emulator is quite self explanatory if you're familiar with the C64, I don't even know if I changed any settings out of the box, it just runs games fine. You might have to change the drive options if you're using .d71 files.
