It would still work as 7z, just need to make sure LaunchBox knows to look for it. We haven't ever really ran into the issue because the sets have always been distributed as .zip, you have to manually alter the files to have them as 7z in most cases.
Yeah. The fullset importer doesn't actually look at the files at all and is hard code to add .zip file extension. It wouldn't be hard to change them all after with a search and replace on the xml file though.
Good to know. I was under the impression it had to be ZIP. Well then ignore that part of the statement. I do know Full Set importer always makes the extension zip (because that's what they are distributed in) and so if scanning for removed after you do the conversion you will run into issues since you did change the file.
If you're just displaying a marquee and no supporting/fallback images like your example shows just drop the grid entirely. Use the Image as the root element. Set Stretch="Uniform" and StretchDirection="Both" and leave the other options where they are and it should work out for you.
Not sure I see this as a bug. If you look at your games application path I would assume the file extension is ZIP not 7z, and so LaunchBox doesn't see the item in the folder and marks it as removed. I will say unless MAME has changed recently or a RetroArch core is around that supports it 7z isn't a supported file extension for that emulator and you could very easily run into problems having your games in a 7z archive instead of zip.
I've not developed at all on the Android app, but pretty sure that process mimics what we do on desktop. Images are grabbed based on the games region and we get the image that best matches it. Check and make sure what region you game has associated to it and make sure it isn't Spanish/EU and see if that helps.
Select a side bar that has both of them in then use the real-time filter (next to search bar) to whittle down to the items you want. If you want to make a playlist from your selections after doing so you can using the same button (option will appear at the bottom of the menu)
That background uses your background image priorities to pick what image is there. Go to Tools > Options > Image Priorities > Background Priorities and change your settings there appropriately.
lol we all know it it was just long enough to take the picture, but I appreciate the sentiment anyway. May even use it to rub in @faerans face that MINE is the theme you're using and you don't even have a single one of HIS installed! ;D
Yeah something like that could be helpful. Completely unrelated but you may want to remove the Neon Deluxe Arcade Startup theme from your folder (or use the manager to uninstall it). Startup themes go in an entirely different folder and if you accidently try to use it as the main theme you are going to run into issues down the road. Also on an unrelated side note, you don't have any of MY themes downloaded... what gives!? (lol jk)
Theme has been updated to version 1.1 and uploaded to the LB Theme Management system. This version requires LaunchBox 12.10+
Primary changes are:
Corrected some bad color bindings
Added Related Games sections
Made the Game Details pop out look/work a bit better
This is a known issue with EmuMovies servers at the moment. We are hoping to be able to get it resolved when EmMovies updates their API and provides us with the updated documents to move to the new endpoints. According to their staff should be very soon. I have no exact ETA for you at this time though unfortunately.
We are currently in the process of changing the search criteria used for EmuMovies because running in on EmuMovies server is proving to be too straining on their servers so that logic will all be changing some what. I can tell you that only the rom file name and the games current title are used currently to search though that may change some as we develop the new logic.
You would need to do the following to get the connection to work. Unfortunately it IS all manual and WILL duplicate some data (though themes tend to be pretty small in size):
1) Delete \\LaunchBox\Core\Themes if it already exists
2) Copy \\LaunchBox\Themes to \\LaunchBox\Core (copy the entire folder over)
3) Right click \\LaunchBox\Core\Themes and set the folder and all files in it to read-only
This should make it so that the themes now work. When installing a theme though you will no longer be able to use the built in Theme Manager tool by itself as you will need to download themes to both the \\LaunchBox\Themes folder and the \\LaunchBox\Core\Themes folder.
Create the playlists for each decade and set the parent to the Visual Pinball platform in the parent tab of the edit playlist window. Then in LaunchBox or Big Box use Platform Category view/filter instead of Platform
Can go into Tools > Options and then in Integrations > EmuMovies and temporarily remove your credentials, then we won't scan EmuMovies at all which should speed it up for you.

Unfortunately at this time there is little we can do until EmuMovies gives us the documentation for their new API calls they are working on adding. It sounds like that is coming soon but I have no ETA.
This is caused by an issue with EmuMovies server and how long they take to respond. Removing EmuMovies credentials and then running that window should bring the speed back you had before. Also worth pointing out that this isn't an issue with a version update, but simply is because the EmuMovies servers are having difficulties right now.
To my knowledge we don't have known issues regarding downloading from LaunchBox. There is a known issue with EmuMovies downloads at this point but the URL is quite a bit different than the one in OP's screenshot.
