@neil9000 Try #349EC8 for Windows and #7F1711 for ZX Spectrum

Most of the time when we see visual artifacts like this it is caused by a service called "Nahimic" running. Can you open task manager and move to the service tab and see if it is running or not? If so disable it and restart Big Box and see if that helps you.

Not sure I'm following, can you elaborate?
-
Also worth noting this should correct your drag/drop import issue @sundogak so if you could confirm that as well I'd appreciate it.
-
Should correct what you reported @MadK9 Should correct issues reported by @bundangdon @4monty @RULLUR @Madman3001 @OhBoy @Retro808 (and maybe a few others I missed) Would any or all of you be able to confirm that you are no longer seeing your reported issues in this version?

Hey all, thanks for the reports and apologies for the issues you are finding. Most of them I think we have resolved internally but are testing changes. Hope to have another beta released soon to address these issues.

TrueVert View File This is a vertical conversion of my FauxVert theme. It has a horizontal wheel view as well as text list view. Was designed to work with a 9:16 monitor but for the most part should work fairly well with other resolutions/aspect ratios. The one thing you have to be wary of is that this theme uses background images/videos that were rotated for horizontal aspect still (as did FauxVert). For example I just show 16:9 images and rotate them to fit in the 9:16 monitor. A 9:16 image/video would NOT render correctly in this theme. I don't plan on making too many improvements/changes to this theme unless I need them for my particular set up, but if there is something small I can help you with to get this working on your set up feel free to ask in the comments. Question: Is there a way to add playlist subcategories?
C-Beats replied to RagingBull's topic in Features
Playlists cannot have children. To do what you want you would set it up as follows: Genres (Platform Category) Platform/System (Playlist) -
Not sure how much media this has compared to other themes but it's very possible that you don't have enough RAM to store all the images in memory that you are asking the system to display. 4GB of memory doesn't go real far and I'm curious if that may be the cause of some of the issues.

11.14 was reported as a false positive for a virus in one of our DLLs (bits of code used to make the program work). Upgrading to 11.15 should correct this.

If you are a premium user you may be able to use a custom field for that. You would have to manually enter it for each game. I personally don't import any DLC/Expac information since you can't launch them, they attach to and expand the base game which I DO have imported.

Get far more traction with any requests by navigating to the top of the web page, pressing "Help & Support" and then "Request a Feature".
-
You may have to uncheck all the MAME filters when importing and selecting MAME as an emulator, especially if the rom names don't match MAME standard naming.

What issue are you seeing still? Not sure what steps you have tried/followed from the thread.

RetroArch won't launch from LaunchBox (please read the description)
C-Beats replied to ToffanaDogg's topic in Troubleshooting
While I understand the frustration caused by stuff not working, no one here is a mind reader and will need FAR more information to be able to help you at all. Please create a new thread explaining things like, what games you are experiencing this problem with (andd what platform they belong to), what core you are attempting to start, and the file you are attempting to load and users can try and help you resolve your issue. -
Badges don't use the same XAML pathing as some themes (like the one you're having issues with) does. The fact that you can't change a directory's attributes via Windows though is a bit concerning though. At this time though I'm not real sure what would cause that or how to correct it.

Windows would stop our application from deleting the file. We'd get an exception or error that would appear in the logs or show in the error popup window of LaunchBox.
-
Does the checkbox stick? I know you were saying before unchecking that box wasn't. If that box doesn't stick or files are missing despite that being checked you may have something system side going on because that shouldn't be possible. We'd receive a IOException trying to delete anything in that folder marked read-only.
-
Just so we are clear when I say "Set to readonly" that checkbox needs to be a check, not a square. A square means that some files in the folder are set to readonly but not all, a check would mean ALL are readonly so deleting the contents of that folder wouldn't even be possible if the flag was set the way I was referring to.

Can you try something else for me. Can you close LaunchBox/Big Box and then remove the LBThemes folder/symlink from \\LaunchBox\Core\ (if it exists) and then copy the LBThemes folder from \\LaunchBox\ TO \\LaunchBox\Core\ and then manually set the folder to readonly and start Launchbox and tell me if you still get the error.
-
Removed your top image, no need to dox yourself for the cause.
-
Yeah, other than the fact your directories permissions are changing after you manually set them I haven't seen anything in your reports that makes it sound like it's related to another software. When you have your LaunchBox open can you navigate to \\LaunchBox\Core\LBThemes\Neon Deluxe Arcade LB\Images\ via the symlink and make sure you can navigate to that folder inside of File Explorer and see the background images that are supposed to be in that folder.

If you don't want others adding to playlists I'd suggest you just lock Big Box, then if you want to change something in GameDetails you can unlock it, change it, then lock it again and no one else can mess with your playlists
