  1. I see; thanks for doing that testing. Good to know. We'll do some further testing on our end to see if there's anything we can do to fix it. I don't like the fact that it's affecting multiple themes.
  2. In the end I decided not to change those files; we only read them. We simply refuse to upload the high score if we find any dip switches changed.
  3. If you would, please test 10.14-beta-2 to make sure everything is still working properly for you. It should be, but would be good to know if you run into any issues.
  4. Long file name support in DOS would be rather difficult, I can imagine, so unfortunately that probably won't be happening. I haven't seen that delete bug, but I'll take a look.
  5. Yes, dip switches are reset if you delete the cfg file. Unfortunately we don't have any way to display what the default settings are. However, you can always edit the cfg file as well and just remove the dipswitch lines.
  6. Well apparently the decision is fairly unanimous. That's a good thing.
  7. It's definitely coming @richardoswald. We'll be tackling all top 20 items before the next poll.
  8. If you can test a couple of other more popular themes from the themes manager, that would be helpful. Would help to narrow it down to that specific theme.
  9. We're hoping this is fixed in 10.14-beta-2, @drewjbx.
  10. Go to Tools > Options > Legacy > General > Updates and check the box to update to beta releases. Then go to Help > Check for Updates.
  11. Dip switches are changed through the MAME menus, so if you don't go out of your way, you'll never even know they're there. So nothing to worry about.
  12. Nope.
  13. The MinimalX theme may be the sole cause of this, yeah. If you can test with the Default theme, it would be much appreciated.
  14. For anyone who arrives in this thread, I would also appreciate if you could test 10.14-beta-2 as well. We're planning on putting out the official 10.14 release tomorrow, and I want to make sure that all is working well with it.
  15. No nag versions are definitely usable, yes. That's what I use.
  16. Also, please vote here on whether or not we should reset high scores after the 10.14 release:
  17. With the 10.14 release that is set to go live tomorrow, we've added a number of security measures to help prevent cheating when submitting MAME high scores, including disabling the ability to change dip switches in order to have more lives, etc. Once the new release goes live, versions 10.12 and 10.13 will no longer be able to submit high scores, in order to make sure that no one uses an old version in order to cheat. We have removed a number of high score records that were obviously either errors or involved cheating, but we probably have not caught them all. The question is whether we want to reset the high score system or not, now that it is more robust. We need your vote.
  18. 10.14-beta-2 is out now as well: The plan is to hopefully put out the official 10.14 release tomorrow, assuming we don't find any new issues. After the 10.14 release comes out, the 10.12 and 10.13 versions will no longer be able to upload high scores, just to make sure no one stays on those versions in order to try and cheat. I would really appreciate if everyone here could test out beta 2, and let me know if you run into any issues, so that we don't run into anything major upon release tomorrow.
  19. Beta 2 is out now with the following: Improvement: Several games with high scores issues were fixed thanks to GreatStone and the hi2txt project Improvement: Several other changes were made to the MAME high scores system to improve security and stability. After the 10.14 release, unfortunately 10.12 and 10.13 will no longer be able to upload high scores. This is to make sure that no one stays on 10.12 or 10.13 in order to attempt to cheat. Fixed: Sorting columns in the "Associated Platforms" tab of the Edit Emulator screen would sometimes throw an error Fixed: Rare error with the Download Media context menu option on the Audit screen Fixed: Rare but random error related to music tracks Assuming we don't run into any new issues with this beta, I'm planning on putting out the 10.14 official release tomorrow in order to get the improved MAME high scores stuff live. Any testing you guys can do would be appreciated, because the last thing we want is to push out a release with an undiscovered issue.
  20. Yes, unfortunately we added some additional anti-cheat measures, and they probably affect Arcade64 compatibility. Sorry about that Neil. Unfortunately we're going to have to be more strict going forward about using official versions of MAME.
  21. Er, rather, in the troubleshooting high scores thread.
  22. I see. Come to think of it, it might not be set up that way for playlists. Sorry I lead you astray. There's probably not currently a way to do that in LaunchBox.
  23. Is 10.14-beta-1 working well for everyone?
  24. Yes, though I'm not sure if we'll do that or not. We might take a vote in this thread.
