@OmenBoy I just put out beta 4 to fix those issues: @Riffman81 My suggestion then would be to wait to use it until a migration of sorts is implemented. I don't know yet if that will happen before the next official release or not. Media will not be affected by the changes. Closing this thread now since beta 4 is out.

Alright beta 4 is out, mostly with bugfixes for beta 3. This afternoon I'll finally be getting to the import process changes for the multiple ROMs per game. The most notable bug fix for beta 4 is the startup crash that beta 3 caused when adding new additional applications (though there are quite a few more as well). For anyone that has a non-working LaunchBox due to beta 3, you can download beta 4 directly from the link below, and just install over top of your existing installation folder: http://api.launchbox-app.com/DownloadBeta.ashx?s=c8e4c851-2721-46b8-b513-c3dc965fdbc6

Yeah, that's true, it doesn't really make sense to have both of those options selected. But still, good to know; we should probably prevent that in the first place.

Thank you guys; I just fixed this issue. I believe the issue was that newly created additional applications were missing some data. I'll have a new beta out shortly.

Thank you @DOS76. Good to know that this has to do with startup videos. Do you know if this has been happening the whole time or is it new for this beta?

@Riffman81 You will likely have to reimport, yes; though you should be able to keep all your existing images and media. We might build a tool to migrate games but that probably won't be there for v1. Also, for v1 we won't be handling the case where names are different, but hopefully we can add that in going forward.

Thank goodness, according to @CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT, the weird null reference bugs and random lockups are indeed fixed, and were apparently due to the previous version of VLC. I'm a bit scared to celebrate, but holy crap was I glad to hear that lol. Anyways, tomorrow and Friday I'll be working on fixing more bugs and tweaking imports to divide up the games into multiple ROMs per game.

Oh, ha, actually that's not quite what I meant. I meant put *all* apps and ROMs in the new interface instead of having one main one and the rest as "additional".

Yeah, additional ROMs and apps is probably the most clear (though it is a bit long). Game Preference feels like it's a bit too difficult to know what that means at first glance. One trick here is that it feels like we should have originally separated out applications and ROMs from the beginning, instead of calling them "additional". So that's another issue; I'm tempted to remove the first tab on the Add/Edit game window and put everything under Apps/ROMs.

True, but I still appreciate posts about them because then I know who got the bug and can ask questions to help get it fixed.

Questions and discussion surrounding the beta. Bugs can benefit from separate threads because I can respond with questions about the bug, and it'll be a lot cleaner of an approach.

If you would please, guys, put bugs into separate threads, because I can already start to see this one getting out of control lol. I've subscribed to the entire forum so I should see anything you put in this forum.

I'm planning to group anything that has the same game title into the same game, but it will be optional. For v1, we're gonna look at file names, and if they match sans for the extras, they will be grouped.
