  1. Controller Automation should work if you're using a controller. If I recall, Dolphin has that "are you sure" dialogue (I don't quite remember), and if that's the case, check to see if you can disable that in the settings, otherwise pressing the controller automation buttons for exiting again should close that window too and work. There is also a way to bind an exit key in Dolphin, Options -> Hotkey settings. There's an exit option here too it looks like.
  2. I'm much more of a Fallout modder with about 150 active mods, if not more. The key mods I am waiting on to get ported from regular Skyrim to SE are SkyUI, and the Legend of Zelda mods. Just double checked NMM, 60 active mods, 62 total. I didn't think I was that accurate. It also doesn't help that they've had serious server issues for the last 2 weeks, so I haven't been keeping my eye out as much.
  3. Mhm, I already have like 60 mods installed. I was glad when I learned that the engine was upgraded. It's not quite the Fallout 4 engine, but it's certainly better than the default Skyrim, it's like a step between. I am hoping for Elder Scrolls 6 though that the engine gets somewhat of an overhaul. I love the engine as it stands, it's been used in some form since Morrowind, but it might be time. I just need to get a GTX 1070 or 1080, then I will REALLY be at home. I max out my VRAM too much in F4 or Skyrim.
  4. New Quests? I thought it was only that the DLC is included, the engine and graphics changed. If they added more content on top of what was offered, then that's pretty awesome.
  5. Letters to denote disks or discs, and the term Side all together don't trip the combination, but Jason knows he needs to add these to expand on that list. What you could do is get a batch renamer, and rename all "Disk A's" to "Disk 1", then remove the games from LB and re-run the import. Right clicking for the MAME games is actually a really smart idea, and would obviously only work on Split rom sets. That would be a cool idea though so you could more easily check out other versions of a game, or even hacked and bootleg versions. I would suggest that you add that as a ticket item by going to Issues/Requests and requesting that be added for MAME. Don't forget to vote on your own ticket. LaunchBox is a beast, though the MAME Importer has been available for quite some time.
  6. I would suggest using Standalone MAME, but MAME RetroArch works too if you already have that up and running. I would also suggest grabbing the most recent pack as well, but make sure to utilize the corresponding MAME version (and the RetroArch 'MAME' core should be the latest if you run the Online Updater often enough). Something actually changed in 178 or 179 that's fairly important apparently. For CHD files, if the pack is proper, it should be a ton of folders, and in each of those folders are the CHD files. The folders will be named like the MAME roms. You put all of those folders in the root of your MAME roms folder. So you'll have a ton of folders with short hand names, then a ton of zip files with short hand names as well. Don't forget that your Rom Pack should also match the CHD pack on version number, as well as MAME. So if you are running MAME .179, then you'll need the .179 CHD and Rom split / merged pack. So if you call your emulator MAME, LaunchBox will automatically utilize the MAME Importer, if you want to use a different emulator (or for some reason it doesn't trigger), you'll have to manually start it. During import, there is a screen with check boxes, like look for PDF's and use folder names for game names. On that screen, the last check box is related to MAME. If LaunchBox is going to automatically use this, then that check box isn't there, if you need to enable it manually, that check box will be there and you need to check it. In the later Arcade tutorials I show needing to check it for example, and it's because I'm not calling the emulator MAME (as that wouldn't be right).
  7. So that is exactly why. I am surprised even the first game was found on the database. The database needs whole names for it to work properly. So I would say to try and grab No-Intro sets (to save you from having to rename all of your games), and try from there. If you don't have many to fix, then you could rename a few, but any more than a couple and it might just be easier to grab a whole pack.
  8. So unless @Vlansix added this ability recently, then users can't edit Console metadata or media on the database. Games are still editable of course, and several tweaks, bug fixes and features have been added, but consoles are still locked for now. They may be publicly open in the future, but currently no. If you want to start collecting information and put it in this post, I am sure that Alex (@Vlansix) would appreciate the info.
  9. No, you're ok. I'm saying I am going to leave it, at least for now. Bethesda provides the game completely free of charge, with it's copy protection removed, on their own site, which is the only reason I am even debating with myself on leaving it available. Granted, just because they provide it, doesn't mean we technically can, but I honestly think that this is fine. In case you do want to use the settings I made, I changed the image out for something a tad bit tweaked. I was wanting a closer option for the cursor set button and to be able to do magic a bit more easily, so I like the new one a bit better.
  10. So for the record, to anyone who generally gets upset when we don't allow a lot of different links on the site: I am riding the line on this link a few posts up, but I am leaning towards leaving it, ONLY because the game is freely available from Bethesda's website with all copy protection removed. The above installer just does a lot (I mean a lot), of nice things to help the end user, and it provides some awesome mods (I am also a sucker for good mods). That said, I got in to Daggerfall cause of that installer. I'm sure I've seen it before, but you reminded me right when I needed something like this. I did remap pretty much all of the controls to make it much much much more user friendly, and as close as I can make it to something like Skyrim. You also need to click the Mouse button and change the mouse controls from cursor to view. You can toggle the cursor with Enter on these modified controls, which is helpful because I sometimes get out of it on accident. Here's a screenshot of my controls to help anyone out:
  11. So there is a naming convention that is generally followed, where various "Disc 1", "Disk 2", and so on will automatically merge. So if it's named properly, Road Rash (Disc 1), Road Rash (Disc 2), this should be merged in to the same game entry anyways. It automatically places the extra portions of a game in the Additional Apps section, which you access by right clicking a game. Chances are, your names are off so it wont scrape metadata properly? If something is outside of brackets or parenthesis that is not apart of the games title, it will throw off scraping. Anything inside of them is ignored, except for region parsing and multi part parsing. Generally, No-Intro sets are the standard we love the most, as it's the most straight to the point packs, without much clutter, and the quality of rips is generally really good (at least if you stay current on the packs). Other packs will work as well with the merging, like TOSEC and Good Sets, but they both include a ton of extra stuff that the user would need to go through. I generally go for No-Intro sets, then TOSEC where No-Intro doesn't cover.
  12. No, LaunchBox internalizes the names in to the long form names. It knows what each game is if you use the MAME Importer. Merged and Split are pretty much the same but slightly different in the same token. It just merges some redundant data, but then it's a lot harder to pick which version of the games you want, you need extra software if you want to integrate update packs but it saves you a bit of space. LaunchBox should work fine with Merged, but it is designed for split packs. You should watch our tutorial if you need help help on it. Just remember it was made a few months ago, so plug in the most recent version numbers and some stuff will be a tad outdated like the Lightspeed section. This was also on an older version of LB obviously, so some of the UI might be different in places now as well. There are also 3 other follow ups for Arcade as a whole.
  13. Yea, that's why I ended up replacing all of them with these. There are other Clear Logo packs in our download section, there is one I believe that is a more faithful "clear logo" pack, but I am unsure if it has a Final Burn Alpha logo. I just knew this one did because I am using it.
  14. I utilized this pack for all my Clear Logo's and there is an FBA one in there:
  15. That's a pretty good idea actually. Or, lock Max Players to a number, and have a check box next to it for "Indefinable?" This way, it can apply to more than just MMO's.
  16. If you open the options menu, the menu it starts on has a check box that when checked will allow you to delete games. So when you press Delete in LaunchBox on a game, it will remove it from LB, then ask if you want to delete the rom file. I know the rom stuff can get confusing, but if you search no intro rom set, or no intro roms, no-intro, etc, it's pretty specific and you should find some downloads. If you're comfortable with torrents too you can find those as well. I honestly don't know what RomCenter is, but you don't really need it for what you're doing. If it has some cool features to help you prune out games, then sure it can be useful, but if you start from a No-Intro base, use the windows search in the top right hand corner when you are viewing the games folder, you should be fairly good to go. No-Intro doesn't include all that extra crap. I used to use Good Sets (which are very similar to Tosec sets), but they are much more of a hassle. Also, sorry about being a bit strict with no giving out links, we have to have a strict policy on this so that we can protect our selves just in case. So this means no distributing games, and links count as this.
  17. Yea, our EmuMovies video should still have all the latest info about that stuff.
  18. Sorry, but no you can't get a link. The No-Intro site is also not going to have links for you. Google will be your friend in this case.
  19. Well yes, if changes are being made to the XML's then it of course stands to reason to keep a back up of it, but updating to a beta doesn't inherently change the XML's (unless it's an update like we had recently that changed it from the LaunchBox.xml to the Data folder), so in that sense, sure, you should probably keep backups of stuff just in case because you do never know what we're gonna change. As far as I know, re-installing an old version on top of the version you have will replace it with the version you just installed. I don't know how the data folder can roll back your version of LaunchBox, these generally require exe changes.
  20. I would look for and use No-Intro sets, they are considered the best and you don't get a bunch of junk. Past that, all I used was the Windows Search function to search out games I would want to delete. You can also enable the ability to delete roms from within LaunchBox. Once I paired a collection down to what I want, if I find any stragglers left in LB I remove them this way. There is a program to filter for the Good Rom Sets, but it's confusing and No-Intro Sets are still the best.
  21. Yea, Battlefield could be 64 (or is it 128 now?) max players on PC, and 32 or 64 or what ever it is on console, but a lot of other games that don't have definable amount should still get something.
  22. *is an idiot* You're right. I read it wrong. That's what I get for replying when I first wake up. X_X
  23. Just take a look at the database. Of course the more popular systems are doing just fine, but some of the larger systems (Like DOS), or the less well known systems (Wii Ware, though this is inside of Wii and Wii as a whole fairs fairly well considering), are lacking. The base of our database is from GamesDB, and while thousands and thousands of changes have been made to the database for hundreds, if not thousands of games, have been made, we still have a long way top go. To anyone looking to help out the database, please please please make sure you read and follow the Database Guidelines as well as you possibly can.
