  1. A ticket in the Database does exist for controller types if I recall. You can search for existing tickets so you can vote and comment on them.
  2. Use the Controller Automation under the options in LaunchBox and BigBox, that is how we handle exiting out of the emulator. This has been in LaunchBox for quite a while now, but recently changed names to this. We use AutoHotKey as a base which is more powerful than Xpadder. I don't personally use it, but there are many threads on the forums about it, and I know for a fact it works. Some emulators you need to use nogui command lines or check the settings to see if you can turn off the exit confirmation but it generally works great.
  3. Opaklopper You should probably watch the Tutorials on our channel. Most of them deal with RetroArch. The settings aren't per core but there is an easy way to do so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WC4NieHGwbo
  4. We need a Prototype / Unreleased marker for the Database, but you can create these games or edit them if they currently exist. Just make sure to put these under the Reconstructed categories.
  5. The movies should be downloaded from EM from within LaunchBox. The themes shouldn't necessarily ever supply video's. That said, HyperSpin and EmuMovies might even have some cross over. In fact I know that there are 3 websites that have the same exact video sets (some image sets too), and they are all the same video. The only difference with the EmuMovies ones is they are tagged with an EM Identifier as the thumbnail. The other sites, including HyperSpin I believe, share a lot of the same source it appears, or the images and video have just been floating around for so long there's no telling where it came from. That is actually one of the issues we have, which is we have no clue where the video actually originated from. So if the video is apart of the theme that Cid recorded, the theme creator put it together and Cid is just simply transferring the work from one location to another. Unless you can match the video 100% it's worth noting that it could be very similar? Cid will have to chime in, but I would be willing to go to bat and trust Cid on this. He wouldn't intentionally ever steal from other people's work, even if the origin of that work is murky. If I am wrong then I apologize, but let's not accuse people of these things so blatantly. If you have a concern that they are duplicate video's then ask and we can figure it out.
  6. spektor56 said are the emumovies guys ok with all their videos being ripped and distributed without needing an emumovies premium account? You should read before making accusations like this. This has nothing to do with EmuMovies and the original theme creator on Hyperspin said that Cid had his full permission to do this.
  7. So I'm not saying we couldn't do something like this, but with the Database you can get as much or as little as someone needs. We can guarantee speeds that we can't necessarily promise though P2P. Ultimately I think the method we are employing is generally the best way we can go about this and be easy.
  8. If you are editing XAML files replacing images is not the best way to go about it, because then if you want those images for something else they'll then be replaced with blank images. I don't know what to edit if you are making a theme, but the replacing method if you want them to be replaced for yourself. If it's a theme you are making then replacing the banners may not be the best way.
  9. The Metadata and Images function in the Tools menu is broken. Jason knows about it and is trying to fix it.
  10. Unfortunately all of the metadata we pull is in English and we would have to have it all translated in to other languages for it to work where you can read the information that way. Adding a french Wiki is not all that easy, especially since the current Wiki we have is actually poorly implemented (because of the Wiki API though, not anything we did). We agree it would be awesome for us to be able to have all of our metadata in a different language, but it's hard. If you can find a program that translates text easily in bulk, you could theoretically edit your metadata.xml file. This is where all the information is stored from the Database. Only problem is, every time it updates you would have to re-translate it, so every time it asks you or every time you update LaunchBox. That would also not automatically put the information in your LaunchBox library. You would have to re-import all of your metadata. Only downside is if the Metadata.xml has other words in it other than the description, like the games name or formatting text, then translating it will also translate all of that and your scraping would probably break. So you'd have to pull out all of the description text, translate it, re-insert it, then re-scrape your metadata.
  11. Yea, this can be done. However, the best solution I've seen is software related. I've seen users use software to keep they're LaunchBox install, games and saves backed up to several PC's. They're generally free and work great. The only problem I see is if you can't store your save states or memory card files outside of where the games are kept or outside a dedicated location. For something like PCSX2 where you can change the specific location of your memory card files, this works, but not for save states. If you made your Emulator folder a Dropbox folder, and used Dropbox to sync to multiple PC's then that could work. The files are still stored on your PC, their folder structures are kept in tact, and you should be able to access it anywhere. Just make sure you make your Dropbox account private, as in the file are kept private and not automatically view able to who ever can search for them.
  12. I know PS2 can go forward, PS3 controllers can only be used on PC and oddly 360 (with adapters, and the 360 can work on PS3 with adapters), but realistically the best Sony controller is a PS4 controller (What I use on PC). The feel is the best. In terms of your controller, you're just gonna need to buy a new controller and most 3rd parties suck in this era and back. They're generally more flimsy, and you can still even find PS2 controllers in the packaging. If you want to make it better, they make things like thumbstick caps to make the stick concave instead of convex and add some extra texture to it. Since PS3 and PS4 controllers use USB they don't go back much. The usb port on a PS2 is mostly useless unless you mod it. PS4 controllers work on PS3, but barely. The Home button doesn't work on the PS4 controller and it doesn't work in most games. It could also be your PS2 controller port, so testing the other port or controller would just be your best bet.
  13. Yea some things got messed up in the transfer that I am still working out. xD Thank you very much though, I do appreciate the feedback.
  14. Yea it is now! https://www.dropbox.com/s/40btvy5sdt0vi1p/Invention%20Descruction.rar?dl=0 RPG Maker games are bigger now than you might be used to. :P This is with all of my assets. They of course will be trimmed down as time goes on, and this does include all of the music I might want to use. It's mostly audio at this point. I wish this was a full game. xD
  15. I am having to re-up the game. Apparently I forgot to move over a spawn point and it was spawning players in a glass wall. xD Yea, I've ported engines and taken a long time to try and find what I want. I'm still not completely satisfied with the art assets, but it's what I got right now.
  16. Updated the download link and I removed some false info. I need some new screenshots too.
  17. Yea I need to upload my most recent Beta of the game, so I took down the old one. There were crashes happening anyways. I will update the main post with the new link in a second.
  18. We've got plenty of tutorials on our YouTube channel that I've created. Click tutorials at the top of the forum pages or in the signature below all my posts. Select your console from there. Our most recent SNES tutorial is a more basic tutorial for beginners with LaunchBox and RetroArch specifically. After that, you can pick what ever console you're having trouble with if you need help with them. There's several of them I talk about shaders, and one I talk about Overlay's, but Overlay's are a bit jumbled and not easy to deal with.
  19. RetroArch shaders can go a long long way. Some are simple, some are more severe like what you are showing off. Shaders are going to generally be your go to when it comes to something like this.
  20. The Rom Set is actually a hell of a lot easier. If you have the space for it, the names are set the way they are for a reason. Importing the MAME set doesn't import everything as 1 file doesn't equal 1 game. My set in LaunchBox under Arcade has 1573 items. That's a lot more than you wanted obviously, but it all works great right away. When a new version of MAME comes out I just grab the update pack.
  21. vWii only so far, which you've been able to mod since 2012. Big update for vWii is GameCube games.
  22. My Wii is modded (working on modding my Xbox right now), and I am working on modding my WiiU right now. vWii can now play Gamecube games, just need the WiiU GameCube adapter. I also don't have a 2GB SD Card to start this. Smallest I have is 4GB.
  23. PS4 controller. :P It's what I use. You need software called InputMapper for it to work, but the PC will think it's a 360 pad and will pretty much work with anything. I also have a RetroLink N64 controller for N64 as it's a bit unique. If you need help with the other systems don't forget about the tutorials on our channel!
  24. Of course, no problem! We love helping out. You can create cue sheets for games that you need as well. CCD files should work too potentially. I have CCD files working for TurboGrafx CD.
  25. Tested DirectX 12, x2.5 and x3 Internal Res, with Mario Sunshine and Rogue Squadron 2, solid 30 and 60 FPS mostly. A few drops for Sunshine when the camera swapped over fast, and RS2 actually runs! It loads, no graphical or audio screw ups. The game actually ran really well. I did get an actual error pop up, but the game kept running. I clicked yes to have Dolphin send the team reports when that stuff happens too, so hopefully it'll help em.
