  1. Oh you can also enable favorites from the Game Details bar if you use that. Click a game then the heart at the top of the details pane.
  2. I might have to enable the controller from time to time because that selection changes, but when I change to it the controls are the same. I would try creating a new config and in the new config edit the controller settings then make sure you save them. The WonderSwan and WonderSwan Color tutorials (week before last) I cover them specifically if you need help creating them.
  3. Right now Favorites is the closest thing to a Playlist or using the Series field and sorting by that. Playlists have been requested before though. I am sure there is a ticket for it.
  4. Black Screen's usually mean (from experience) missing cue sheet, bad disc rip or missing BIOS.
  5. Personally I would prefer if it were a remake to be a remake as the original artwork was. However maybe it would be best to have a Front and Back Box Art - Custom for re-created or completely fan created Box Arts? This way both get preserved. Our original intent is to try and preserve history. As much as I hate bad quality images I still say the original box should probably be the main one uploaded.
  6. Ah yea, you meant real saves. :P Core Options is your best friend to check for a lot of stuff. Sometimes cores have no options, sometimes they have lots.
  7. angelobodetti said Anyone know how to save games in Mupen64 for RetroArch? I was using Project64 with USB Nintendo64 controllers, but it got annoying that almost every time I plugged them in I needed to reconfigure them - So now I am just using Mupen64 with the XBOX 360 controllers which seems to map well. Thank you. I go over how to create custom configs for cores in some of the tutorials and how to load them in LaunchBox, it's an extra command, and you can keep your USB N64 controller settings just for the N64 core. I know how bad it is playing N64 on anything other than an N64 controller. I love my PS4 controller, but it doesn't quite work there. PS3, PS4, 360 and Xbox One controllers automatically map based on the drivers too. As for saving, F2 is Save State and F4 is Load State. Under the Input menu in the RA settings is an item call 'Input Hotkey Binds', you can change that there if you want. Just probably shouldn't get rid of F1.
  8. Yea that would be tough. Will it happen? Sure eventually everything will happen. When the feature was first rolled out there was an issue with users who need to launch cue sheets for PS1 and Saturn where it's required. The feature at first would rarely launch the game or it would launch not from the cue sheet. We never had someone test PS2 games because we honestly suggest users don't archive Disc based games for load time reasons, and even then I don't think any of us launch our PS2 games from cue sheets. So honestly you're just the first person to have this specific issue.
  9. Right, I think LB is prioritizing cue sheets for systems that require the game to be launched from it. Without waiting for an update to that functionality I would either make the iso's CSO files or remove the cue sheets from the archives. Something about the cue sheets PCSX2 is trying to launch them differently.
  10. Re-reading your post, don't run the cue sheet. I don't even have cue sheets for my PS2 games, they're all in CSO format to save space.
  11. Where it says CDVD, click the dropdown and select the null plugin, or with that Plugin selected hit configure and make sure the Source Drive says @ (no disc). https://i.imgur.com/sBb1Lw3.png
  12. CADScott said Another issue I am seeing quite a bit is people changing the release date to be the North American release date, from the original Japanese release date, which is most often earlier. Unless there is a way in the database to have all different regions release dates, I feel the date should be the first date of release anywhere in the world, rather than for a particular county. Yep that is in the guidelines, and there will be regioned dates in the the future, but for now yea I've been denying those for the first date. If the first date is N. American, then so be it.
  13. Disable the DVD plugin in the plugins menu and it should work fine. Edit: You only need it if you have real discs in your PC.
  14. Jason Carr said SentaiBrad said Updated the guidelines. Ha, beat me to it. Thanks, Brad. :) Yep. :P
  15. Yea fanart needs to be something someone created, either with logo's and screenshots, renders or drawn etc. Something someone made. A straight screenshot should just go in to the screenshots. It also obviously needs to follow the other guidelines. 720p is probably smart in the long run too. It just depends, I approved screenshots of the Dragon Ball Z anime for a DBZ game, but I would deny those real shots of the planes that we had the other day. It just kind of depends I guess... It needs to be directly related (though I denied those Terminator screenshots), 1280 x 720 at least, follow the other rules.
  16. It is open to the public, but only edits can be made as well as adding images. Adding games entirely will be available sometime this week hopefully. If you need more help check out our LaunchBox Games Database subforum, there are threads in there.
  17. Oh yea the options doesn't change BigBox, but you still can disable the auto-playback right?
  18. The performance problems may not lie in RAM but rather CPU. That said, you can turn off video's all together in Options, there is a Video tab. At the top of LaunchBox, View then go down a bit to find Autoplay for Music and Video.
  19. Go in to the settings and enable the option and select your controller. However LaunchBox proper has limited controller support, BigBox is entirely controller oriented. That said, I would probably still keep the mouse and keyboard close by for when you need to use Windows, add or edit games, or change settings in LB. Otherwise BigBox would be the way to go for full controller support.
  20. RetroArch would be simple to set to full screen too if you wanna use that.
  21. I'm not worried about 'Mainstream' even though most of those were covered first because they are the more requested consoles, but the week before Arcade I did the WonderSwan and WonderSwan Color, a system that most people don't know even existed. This week will probably be the Neo Geo Pocket and the Neo Geo Pocket Color, and that's just as obscure.
  22. When you import games, as long as you select the system from the drop down menu then even if you delete the games and re-import your games all of the images and video will still be there assuming you didn't delete them or run the clean up process when the games weren't in LB. Recently the SNES System name changed and all I did was re-run the metadata scraping process with no images or video selected and let it update that platform. All of the games changed platforms then I went in to the Images and Video folder and named the folder the new system name, restarted LB and all of the media was re-associated just fine. I still need to run a new scan for just media since the Database is now active and has been getting dozens of new images daily, but there might be a feature added in soon that lets you schedule times to have LB update from the server without a users input and it will download and update the new images only. So there may be some manual work that has to be done, but it's still super easy.
  23. It should be a line in the mame cfg files, I don't know where exactly.
  24. Though really, it's downloading the images and media that takes forever, the metadata is small in comparison.
