Yeah I don't use ScummVM personally but I would never want to take away any other users usability it would definitely need to not break the function of how the game would be scrapped. As to the scraping as DOS as default are all the support games for DOS? If so that would be an easy solution if not though you could maybe add something to the DOS section of the DB that would allow games to be marked as playable in ScummVM and then LB would pass that through when scraping while also working on any games of different platforms in their section. For some reason I thought I read before that some of the games are Windows 95 era but I may be mistaken about that. Which of course would make this whole inane rambling a moot point.

It looks like if you filter by genre and arrange by genre it will show you all the games for all platforms for that particular genre which would make changing the entire xml very easy.

@fromlostdays why wouldn't you call up the genre get the results for the one that you wanted to change and then bulk edit the genre without changing the xml manually. XML manipulation is great for when you need it but if the gui supports it why not do it that way. Edit Your method would be quicker though if you were doing multiple genres all in one shot I didn't think of that scenario until I reread your post

I could see why you would. Like you said the games are actually MS-DOS or Windows games which already have their own entries so the whole practice is actually making duplicate entries for the same game in different sections of the DB.

I thought it was that OP didn't understand how the search worked during import. I know when I started out I had no clue how this worked and I had to ask on the forums. I was importing whole folders at the time and getting dupes for everything.

The title pretty much says it all I want a audio file that I can use to replace the default with Morgan Freemans voice.

I could leave the .cue and .bin files in a folder for each game, but it would take forever to add all my games to Launchbox. From what he wrote there I thought they were all in individual folders but he didn't want to move all his multifiles into a single folder which I don't blame him I have all of my files in individual folders for any disc games with multiple files.

Wait you can have every game in its own folder and add it to LB easily you just use the search parameter .bin when you want to import the games and it will pull them all out of the folders and list just the .bin files. All of this stuff is covered multiple times in the YouTube tutorials.

Yeah the search is good but it has issues and is very far from perfect. I would not want that happening to my ROMs on any platform personally.

While LB does find small errors and fix them it also has issues with naming games with part II or III as duplicates of one of the games so while it would be helpful in cases it would be detrimental on the ones it finds incorrectly because now your roms would be named incorrectly I'd rather not see that happen.

After you get the search results there are no way to clear them except by exiting the platform and coming back in any way we could change that behavior.

You can go into drive management too and change your drive letter to what it needs to be.

I have Altirra working in LB but it requires a game by game config to send the emulator the rom size through the commmand line. Or it did before its been awhile I'm probably on a old build now.

If you weren't on the live stream yesterday you wouldn't get it.

Yeah what are your specs? I have 1 old laptop that it won't run on. I believe it doesn't support a high enough version of Open GL

Is there away to setup a video player for the game videos inside Launchbox besides VLC, In options you can switch to WMP The Controller Automation i.e To exit the game only works when using RetroArch. I believe there was an issue a few betas ago that was fixed. The controller automation has to be enabled in the settings Sorry if you knbow this I don't know your level of experience with the program.

You have to set up RA outside of LB 1st do you have RA working on its own?

If the images are in the clear logos folder they should work but not until you tweek the settings in BigBox to use them instead of the default text.

You can create additional apps for the subsequent discs by going into edit and clicking the additional apps tab name point it to the disc and check the use with emulator checkbox. Then when you are done you can right click the game and it will list the other discs in the context menu.

Look for the checkbox to add duplicates and check it or if your bottom bar is open there will be an add button in the bottom right corner click that add the game manually and all will be good.
