  1. Depends on your setup for controllers if you are playing at a desk and you don't need wireless you can get the Logitech F310 they are dirt cheap and have a toggle button that lets you use your analog as a d-pad if that is something you like. They are $20 on Amazon with the wireless version F710 being $40 warning with these though you have to install XBox 360 drivers and any time Windows 10 updates you have to go into device manager and set up the drivers again. The Logitech controllers actually have superior d-pads to my 360 controllers. Also XBox One controllers are great but a little more pricey for the adapter included.
  2. F is full screen in RA and I believe that it is also one of the options for the hot key binds so you can switch with your controller if you want.
  3. It didn't work any more I never investigated to see if it was the mobo or cpu I just tossed the board in the trash when I took it apart the other day I still have the optical and floppy drives. The computer has been here broke down for over like 5 years
  4. I went ahead and impulse bought it. I just gutted an old IBM case and I'm thinking of taking apart my slim desktop and putting it in there. It is an old school horizontal desktop with a pretty lot of room in it. It has a weird power hook up though so I had to order a new power switch with the modern power pin setup. This thing was old had all of the IDE connectors no SATA anywhere to be seen. 2 512MB RAM sticks (no clue what gen). It has a working floppy drive if anyone is willing to pay for the shipping they can have it.
  5. I think this one looks interesting for $129
  6. Wait where did you see $120 960 I'll buy one right now. Edit Unless its used then I'll pass
  7. I would say that is it mostly like fully backwards compatible you just have to worry when the new versions come out.
  8. Its a know and reported bug.
  9. I believe you should be able to seamlessly switch between versions without moving anything from your 4.x folder.
  10. Yeah your saves and a lot of data is kept separate in your C:\Users\"UserName"\Documents\Dolphin Emulator so with every version of Dolphin is uses that same folder.
  11. I don't see anything trumping us building the ability for the community to share our metadata and images with each other over the DB if people are upset that's messed up anyway as we are just passing on and sharing there works not claiming credit for them. Also I don't know much about this but do the files they host on their paid service pay money to the creators or do they just go to covering the FTP cost because if not at that point we aren't using any of their bandwidth. Now if it is different and they pay money to the creators then that would be different but I'm guessing its like EmuMovies and goes to cover the cost of bandwidth.
  12. That's strange my .zips work for the nestopia core with or without the checkbox.
  13. Also as a warning if you are using RetroArch to emulate MAME or FBA you will have to add another emulator for RetroArch and set it up with those cores and have the checkbox ticked you can't have them both work under the same settings. You don't need any actual second install of RA either you just have to direct LB to it twice and it has to be named something else in LB ie RetroArch Unpack ROM Archives or RetroArch [Arcade]
  14. Since the clear logos are replicas of the text on the boxes even if you made your own wouldn't they be basically the same. I don't know much about HS but I'm assuming there are wheels that are just more than the clear logos. So would uploading ones that match the text on the box not really be stealing from anyone but the artist that designed the box?
  15. I would say check to see if the Unpack ROM archive checkbox is ticked but I believe all 3 of those cores would run the game in archive or file form so that eliminated that as a possibility. Have you edited any of your platform names and they don't match the Associated platform name?
  16. There is a checkbox to exclude the BIOS files which I believe is checked by default but don't hold me to that.
  17. Looks great! Thanks to everyone creating all of this stuff. Hard Drive manufacturers appreciate it.
  18. MAME files are required to be in an archive (7Z, zip rar) and that checkbox unpacks the archives and makes them into a format that is unplayable by any derivative of the MAME emulator.
  19. Yeah dupes between LB and EmuMovies is definitely an issue (not one easily solved either probably). I know if you get metadata for a game a second time for whatever reason, if you aren't careful it will download any fanart or screenshots and other image types that allow multiple files because it can't differentiate between one image or another so it just downloads them over again.
  20. Make sure the Extract ROM archive before running checkbox isn't checked.
  21. In case anyone missed it Dolphine 5.0 is finally out and supposedly with much graphical improvements.
  22. Nice! H265 is my new video preference for the moment hopefully though something new will pop making files even smaller at a better quality.
  23. To import multiple file games your best bet is to use Windows search to look for only the file extension that you are looking for and then only choose those for importing. Brad demonstrates this technique in many of the disc based tutorials so go to the LB YouTube channel and check one of those out there is a PS1 tutorial on there that will cover all of this.
