Yeah new beta 100% fixes that issue. Glad I could help sort it out. Blizzard like conditions here for the weekend so I'm going to cozy up with some LaunchBox and my Plex addiction catch up on some of my shows and play some games.

The easiest way is to manually edit them from there in the wizard (your screen shot) once you finish the import editing them becomes more of a hassle especially when you are not sure which one is the one that you want to keep. Sorry if you are looking for something more automated than that but it is the best method that I know of.

Actually if you mean the different roms for the same game under the same platform like a V1.1 and a V1.2 an alt version or a hack then you can set the other games up as an additional app for the main ROM and right click on the box it will give you the option to launch whichever version that you want to play at the moment.

I don't know if this is your case but for me if I disable the game details pane under view and then choose a game that has videos then I will get that error if I then enable the game details and then choose the game then I won't get any errors. If you don't have the GD pane hidden then disregard this post but if you do and your games have videos associated with them then this is what is causing your problem.

I'm over my head when it comes to RA I'm sure Brad or Jason (or anyone else for that matter) will be able to help you more than I can I just threw out some quick fixes that could be causing the issue. Hope you get it sorted.

No MAME ROMs will ever work unzipped (unless RA does even more things I didn't know it did). Did you move the MAME files into Launchbox and then not change the path in the MAME.ini file (if RetroArch version of MAME even works the same way I really don't know if it does or not). When you say it doesn't recognize them at all do you mean the names of the games when searching for metadata or it just doesn't see any of your ROMs period?

We already have drag and drop to import ROMs the option to import ROMs from the tools menu and you can click add in the bottom right corner to add a single game. I'm all for redundancy to do things it happens to be one of the things that I love about Windows but how many methods do we really need. That said if it isn't hard to implement, wouldn't take up much development time and other users liked the idea then who am I to say it shouldn't be implemented.

I'll except both terms. If the one on the left is considered a sidebar which it is by name then the games details sidebar for the one on the right seems accurate to me. I almost called it the games detail pane in an earlier post but was unsure that it would be correct either way its just splitting hairs.

I don't know if it would be possible to do a live tile for a desktop app I don't think I've ever seen one that has one and I've been using Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 since the first Windows 8 beta. Actually after searching I found this which seems like it would be possible for certain desktop apps whether or not there would be enough interest or not to try to make it work with LaunchBox. If it randomly displayed games from my collection that would be kind of cool but it wouldn't take any type of priority over anything else I'd like to see done.

Okay first things first thanks for creating this and then sharing it with us here at the community that is pretty awesome of you. Now how exactly do I use it. I'm guessing I would make multiple copies of it and place it in the folders with which ever emulator or game I wanted to use it with, point it towards that emulators/games .exe via the ini file. I've tried just clicking the .exe and that doesn't seem to do anything. I'm unsure of what to do from here. Ok I see in task manager that Enhancer is running but I'm not sure if it is configured correctly.

To elaborate on what @scree is reporting I choose a random game for TG16 and added a single video to it. If I disable the game details in view stop LaunchBox and then restart it I can then select any one of my games without an issue until I choose the one game that has the video then the error message pops up and LaunchBox closes. Then once restarted if I open the game details sidebar and then choose that game I don't get any kind of error.

I'm curious as to what the cause is because I use 4 different 360 controllers on 3 different computers and never suffer crashes when my controller shuts off which is usually multiple times a day. I know for a while my screen would flash black when the controller turned on and off but in the last few builds of Windows 10 that issue went away as fast as it appeared.

I have FIOS and they weren't kidding when they say upload speeds match their download speeds I actually get faster upload speed the majority of the time so they must be taking it serious. Its too bad I never use it. I would trade that in second for some faster download speeds (that didn't involve me paying more loot).

Yeah definitely below the name but I don't have an issue with the option of top or bottom I know I would prefer mine on top although truthfully I've had the game details disabled for about a month or so since it allows for an extra box and faster scrolling through the games. EmuParadise is the bomb they have the best uhm commercials available.

If your game has a long detail your video is off screen and you have to scroll down through the game details. It should probably moved up so it shows when you click on the game. Yeah if you click a game with a its own video it switches but if you choose one without a video it keeps playing off screen.
