No you should definitely post it, just because I don't use it or really have an desire too doesn't mean that I would ever try to discouraging any type of idea and information sharing on the forum that is what it is all about. Like Brad said last night this is a forum where we are all free to express our opinions even when they conflicting.

It sounds like if you are coming over from Hyperspin and you already set it all up then yeah why wouldn't you use it, but for someone who has never used it and already has all of their ROMs decompressed with little interest in bezels why bother. Sort of how I feel about RetroArch which sounds cool and full of features but do I really need them compared to what I already have spent time setting up

Ok having a bad experience with Microsoft today new board means new hardware and new hardware means no activation spent hours with a tech support guy running some crazy commands that all failed in the end I had to reinstall total pain in the ass. So basically if you have an OEM version of Windows or Insider install you have to do a clean install or your beat on activation.

Yeah that is an extremely old version of Dolphin the stable version is up to 4.something. I'm using a release candidate version 5.0 and it seems good though to be honest I haven't used it extensively

I've been using Windows 10 since the first beta and had switched all of my machines over too it by about May of last year. I don't have any issues with any emulators and I'm running it on everything from Core i7 4770 with 16GB of RAM down to tablets and stick PC's with Atoms and a measly 1GB of memory of course the smaller machines are limited to what they can emulate by their specs but not by Windows 10. List of working emulators I use 3DO = 4DO Atari 2600 = Stella Atari 5200 = KAT5200 Atari 7800 = ProSystem Atari Jaguar = Virtual Jaguar Atari Lynx = Handy Bandia Wonderswan + Wonderswan color = OSwan CPS1 CPS2 NeoGeo = Kawaks CPS3 = CPS3 Colecovision = ColEm Crystal System = Crystal Emerson Arcadia = WinArcadia Galeco, Hikaru, Naomi, Naomi 2, Sammy Atomiswave and DreamCast = Demul (with NullDC for DreamCast working too) Magnavox Odyssey 2 = O2EM NEC PC Engine, TurboGrafx 16 and SuperGrafx = MagicEngine NEC PC Engine CD and TurboGrafx CD = TurboEngine (I can't get MagicEngine to work with the CD games because Windows 10 doesn't work with scsi drives in Daemon Tools) NeoGeo Pocket/Pocket Color = NeoPop Nintendo 64 = Project64 2.2 (Run in compatibility mode if not it used to bluescreen your computer when you loaded a game) Nintendo DS = DeSmuMe NES and Famicom Disk System = Virtua NES Game Boy (all 3 flavors) = VBA Nintendo GameCube and Wii = Dolphin (5.0 release client build) Nintendo Virtual Boy = VBJin Sega 32X/CD/SG1000/Master System/Genesis/Game Gear/Pico = Kega Fusion (Gens+ for CD games with double disks) Sega Model 2 = Sega Model 2 Emulator (great work on coming up with a name for this one guys but it works excellent) Sega Model 3 = SuperModel Sega Saturn = SSF (various builds in order to play the maximum amount of games) (Also you can't update to the latest version of DaemonTools as it no longer gives you a drive letter and then SSF no longer recognizes that you have DT) Sony Playstation = ESPXe Sony Playstation 2 = PCSX2 Sony PSP = PPSSPP SNES = Snes9x-sx2 I've also just started experimenting with RetroArch but haven't gotten past having it load a few SNES and Game Boy games So as you can see I don't have any issues with emulation on Windows 10. I even have LaunchBox setup to launch my XBox One app and then use the streaming feature to play my XBox on my PC's.

Ok here is the deallyo new board is a success 100% only issue is that when the liquid shorted out either the board or the battery it must have fried both because I don't have any battery and the computer reports that no battery found so now its time to spend more money (on getting my cat euthanized just kidding he's my boy and worth more than any computer plus its hard to be mad at that face) so looks like I need a battery now. New Battery $28 on Amazon so up and running for around a hundo.

Not that this is overly important but I can see a use for this as I would like to be able to choose a preference of MP4 videos over MP4 High Quality videos or HD which ever one that is usually ticked by default I want my snaps to be as small as possible and don't really need them to be high def. While I can easily just switch it like I usually in an ideal world I would be able to set a preference that LaunchBox would remember. At the same time though I'd rather see other features prioritized over this one.

No I have personally had no serious issues worst thing was the WIFI on one of my tablets stopped working until the next build thank god for usb ethernet adapters.

I believe that you can join the insider program at any time. If you pull up the action center then go into update & security I believe that in advanced options you can choose to start getting insider builds you turn it on and then choose to be in either the fast ring or the slow ring. I just confirmed this on my brothers tablet there is definitely an option to start getting insider builds.

I want 16 of them but will probably wait until my next failure before I get one that is if my MediaSonic ProBox enclosures support drives that big. I bought another 5TB Seagate Backup drive last night so I can store all of my PS2 games on my basement HTPC.

Daemon Tools and SSF: How to auto-mount and auto-unmount.
DOS76 replied to ps4isthefuture's topic in Emulation
Ok with Daemon Tools you can set the saturn games to have no emulator if you have Daemon Tools set as the default app to handle .cue files then when you click on one of the games with out the emulator it will mount the disk if you have automount checked in the Daemon Tools settings. Then for each game you have to set an additional app to run SSF after so you mount the disk and then SSF runs and starts the game. So for Alcohol I would assume that the same method would work if the program supports auto mount and it is associated with your .cue files. There is another method where you use additional apps to mount the game before you run ssf and then unmount the game afterwards but it is so much more work than the other method and involves making 2 additional apps. in Daemon the mount app is -mount dt, 0, "File\Path\To\Game" Like -mount dt, 0, "E:\Emulators\Sega\Sega Saturn\ROMs\Astal\Astal.cue" (with the quotes) unmount is -unmount_all so if you know the command to automount mount and unmount Alcohol you could replace it with that -
Build 11099 has been released and it apparently fixes the file transfer progress bar.

Run this program to see if your PC's hardware can handle the Oculus Rift
DOS76 replied to CadetStimpy's topic in Monkeys
My two newest builds need new cards but everything else passes. -
I mostly use X-Box 360 controllers for everything but I've had Logitech F710 and F310 controllers that worked good Sabrent 6 button gamepads that are great for playing fighting games if only they made a wireless version. I have some cheap knockoffs of a bunch of console controllers that I don't ever use. 2 Mayflash fighting sticks, A Logitech 3D Pro Extreme (which is great with the Sega model 3 Star Wars Trilogy Arcade). Logitech G27 Racing Wheel that I need to hook up and use. Arcade Gun IR gun. Ipega Bluetooth controllers with both of my tablet versions of LaunchBox. So basically everything but mostly XBox 360 XBox One and some Bluetooth knockoffs that are setup like XBox controllers.

Oculus doesn't care for my USB 3.0 add in cards either. I know the one has 4 built in ports but I think the Inspiron only has 2 wonder if a USB 3.0 hub would work. -

Why the hell do you need three USB 3.0 ports all of my HTPC's do have that many ports so it wouldn't be a problem just seems like a lot of ports for the device to need. -

bd000 hasn't been on the forum in months so I wouldn't hold my breathe waiting for those. -
I thought that Apple had removed all the emulators from the app store (I'm not a user just thought I'd read this somewhere) and that people were then hiding them in other apps to get them through. As to the Play Store I thought it was pretty wide open over there also you can side load things on Android even if it isn't in the Play Store that won't stop you.

To my best recollection if you don't have a Nvidia 970 or higher (not sure what model Raedon card you would need) then no VR for you. I recently bought a 960 (before I was aware of this fact) I'm curious about Occulus but I don't know if I'm ready for a $300+ video card. -
Looks that way Its Sega they are pissed that I've been playing their consoles and arcade systems the last few days.
