    You would probably just be better off using RetroArch as you front-end,

    well if you have under than 512MB of RAM don't even attempt using LB it will be a complete waste of time. It will give you an out of memory error message even with 2GB of RAM

    I don't know what the issue is but MAME is having issues with settings from the .ini. I had to switch to MAMEUI because no matter what I set MAME wouldn't play on my main monitor and wanted to keep launching on my secondary.it was a real PITA and now I have to use a emulator that I really don't prefer to use.

    yeah on the PC side just go to manage platform and then type in the scrape as value and then reimport that platform to you Android device it will overwrite what is there already and now should work.

    depends I know I use zero delay encoders in my arcade machine and I have zero issues (bad pun intended). So it may not be the encoders but something with your system but in all likelihood it could definitely be due to the age of the device in question.

    if you go into device manager in Windows can you find the encoder check the properties and see if there is a power down option that can be unchecked even check for the USB ports it may be plugged into. Its a long shot but can't really hurt anything either

    I imagine that for the mess issue that LB isn't feeding it the system specific name and media call so it doesn't start any of the systems. ie coleco -cart probably isn't being passed along to RA so it wouldn't work to start any Colecovision games.

    also about checking if your ROMs are correct you can open the config folder and go to the games.xml then you can check what is expected to be there for each game against what i is in your rom archive and make sure the files are the correct ones its looking for. Didn't realize there was a newer GUI out for it either.

    well guess I should have bothered to read the whole post my bad.

    EmuCR has much more updated versions of Supermodel with better compatibility then that old version I'd really say to check that out but if you do don't use that build with the GUI it will mess with the emulators ini and reset it to something much older than what is supported now https://www.emucr.com/2019/07/supermodel-svn-r777.html here is a link to the newest version from July of this year.

    I know this isn't what you want to here but with your scenario and the hardware you are using I don't think anyone is going to really be able to offer up that many solutions. Hopefully I'm wrong so hang in there for an answer but be prepared to be disappointed also.

    unfortunately the answer to both your questions is no.

    LB itself does not handle this its something the users has to do. As to the second half of the question I couldn't say as I don't use m3u files.

    Does anyone actually do this and get good results? I have a Windows Server and I can do this without making any tweaks but I just find the performance to be pretty terrible so I don't bother. I do however keep my ROMs on the server and use them on all my client PCs.

    In my experience the app and game both have to be on the SD card or they won't work.

    https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/faster-than-an-ssd-how-to-turn-extra-memory-into-a-ram-disk This link suggest you should have 6GB to even attempt setting up a RAM disk and it also states that you need 64 bit Windows as if you are limited to 4GB on a 32 bit system its impossible to add any more.

    When can we start making feature requests? I'm thinking a option to skip letters like is present in BigBox would make navigating the menu quicker for large platforms.

    I'd further research the issue and see if its known and can easily be fixed with a setting change before I just rolled back.
