  1. No, there are a lot of different extensions that you'll encounter for Atari 8-bit games. I've got .atr, .atx, .com, .xex, and .cas roms. It just depends on the format the game was originally in and how it was ripped.
  2. Oh, and I made this script (you can paste this into the Autohotkey section for Atari 800 in LB) to map a few things to my controller: #NoEnv ;Option 2Joy7:: SetKeyDelay, -1, 110 Send {F2} Return ;Select 2Joy3:: SetKeyDelay, -1, 110 Send {F3} Return ;Start 2Joy8:: SetKeyDelay, -1, 110 Send {F4} Return ;Warp 2Joy6:: SetKeyDelay, -1, 110 Send {F12} Return ;Exit 2Joy5:: ;you have to press 2Joy7 first If !GetKeyState("2Joy7") Return send {F9} Return This makes it so you can do the following with a 360 controller: Back = Option Start = Start X = Select RB = Warp Back+LB = Exit Emulator A is mapped to fire. You may need to change the number for the 2Joy7 2Joy6 etc to a different number - 2 is the correct one for my 360 controller in my setup. If it's the only controller you use it'll probably be 1.
  3. I use -nobasic as a default command line parameter. BASIC has to be disabled for a lot of games in order for them to work, although there are some that were actually programmed in BASIC (like the game Fury) so for those you can add a custom command line parameter for the specific game and just enter "-". If you set it up this way and you try something and it doesn't work, you can try using "-" and see if it works. Those are pretty few and far between though. You'll also occasionally run into instances, depending on the region of the rom you're using, where you'll need to indicate that it's NTSC for the colors to display correctly. You can do that by specifying a custom command line parameter of -ntsc. You could try using zips if you enable the extract option in the emulator entry in LB, but I've never tried it. The roms are tiny so I've got them all extracted.
  4. It should populate those automatically once you do the above. Are you sure you actually navigated into the ATARI ROM folder and pressed space? It takes whatever one you're in at the time.
  5. It's in Emulator Settings -> System Rom settings -> find rom images in a directory and then navigate to the ATARI ROM folder, and press space.
  6. Actually, strike that...
  7. Try opening the emulator and going to Emulator Settings -> Configure Directories -> "Directories With Atari software" and go to [add directory] and press enter. Navigate into the ATARI ROM folder and press space. I would also advise trying multiple roms... some of them are finicky. Sometimes you have to manually disable BASIC for them to work.
  8. Yes, they're available on the Atari800 page in Download -> Rom Files. Click on "Original XL ROM" and then "xf25.zip". I'm not sure if this folder is created by Atari 800 by default, but mine are in a folder named "ATARI ROM" in the Atari 800 folder.
  9. I realized that I hadn't actually put these in their own thread - they were just in the beta thread. I've added these to the downloads section as well.
  10. Version 1.0.0

    341 downloads

These are some platform category clear logos I created in a similar style to my other clear logos, with several options for each category. The forum thread can be found here. Other image/video projects:
  11. Technically no, but you should so you can have them running ideally with all the proper settings and WHDload arguments. Please just watch the entire video. Literally everything you've asked is answered in the video.
  12. I do prefer WHDLoad, yes. That doesn't necessarily mean that version will be covered in OpenRetro (previously OAGD). They typically are though. Generally speaking, if a WHDLoad version is available, that's what I opt to use. Load times are much faster, there are no cracktros, and you don't have to mess with any disk swapping. In the event that you do have to create a config for a game manually, it literally just takes a few seconds.
  13. There's only one variant listed in openretro, and it's an ADF version (which is why it's not finding yours): https://openretro.org/amiga/3d-world-boxing/edit#bce5a6e7-3d90-5975-82bf-7169bec6d7cb You can grab the ADF version, submit the version you have to openretro, or you can make your own config. As I said, I go over how to create your own config in the video. WHDLoad custom config creation ADF custom config creation
  14. Derp... I just realized I'm using the wrong image mask for the text for the "Genjuro" logo above... I'm using the one from the Samurai Shodown 6 logo. I'll fix that tonight.
  15. Happy to help! RA is absolutely worth it, it just takes some time to come to grips with. The good news is, there's no shortage of tutorials on it and users of it around these parts
  16. Some emulators have issues with (ie can't accept) simulated inputs. MAME can't, for example. That could be what's happening here.
  17. Yeah it seems to be some issue with BSnes itself. It definitely works for RA.
  18. That exact script is working for me, for a different emulator but it's doing exactly what I'm telling it.
  19. It should just work. Maybe try increasing the delay - it could be it's going off before the emulator actually comes up. 1000 = 1 second so try 2000 or 3000.
  20. Try #NoEnv Sleep, 1000 SetKeyDelay, -1, 110 Send {F11} Return
  21. Here are a couple for Fighters: Normal (Genjuro): Scanlines (Genjuro): Normal (Samurai Shodown 6): Scanlines (Samurai Shodown 6): Normal (Samurai Shodown 6) - Version 2: Scanlines (Samurai Shodown 6) - Version 2:
  22. Re: the original question, this should do it: Sleep, 1000 SendInput {F11}
  23. Here's a banner for Wii U @Nicolition I was going back through my to-do list and realized that I'd only done a clear logo for Wii U and not a banner
  24. Those are some good ideas! I'll consider doing those. I guess the only issue with a "top" logo is that obviously not everybody's going to agree on what's "top" for a platform haha; which will be relevant to the images I use. Granted, that's kindof an issue already with the logos I make (I used Suikoden II above because I love it, but it's not necessarily considered "iconic" overall), but still.
