  1. Upscale to something that makes sense on your display, the 2nd number should match the vertical resolution of your display. You can go higher if you want but you really won't see any difference going beyond. Also set the resolution for the mode you are using, 16:9 or 4:3, I keep mine 4:3 because I really dislike stretching.
  2. I don't use any shaders, I only upscale the internal resolution. Shaders can have very adverse effects with Mupen64 because of it's scaling. If you do want to try out shaders though make sure you use a GLSL one because the Mupen core uses GL and if you use a CG shader you could end up with a black screen.
  3. This might get included in the upcoming retro achievements integration improvements.
  4. If it's "certain emulators" then maybe its those "certain emulators" not playing nicely. I do know that Kat5200 and Fusion don't handle resolution changes very well so maybe it's something like that causing the issue.
  5. Tried it using the Mupen64 core and stand alone, ran fine for me.
  6. We help people here all the time but if you don't see why us having a problem helping troubleshooting (for free) other peoples illegal activities then I don't know what to tell you. Try that with any other product or industry in the world and see how well that goes over. Since you are asking about Mame specifically I will direct you to my Mame Tutorial, it should help you figure out what you need to do.
  7. To be perfectly honest, it's rather insulting that you buy a pre-loaded drive from someone with Launchbox on it and then come looking to us for support. Why should we support other peoples products ? Especially when they are known thieves and sell LB licenses without permission. I will give you one hint / tip with Mame, mame.ini and rompath.
  8. You should contact who you got the hard drive from for support. Also this is the exact reason no one should ever buy or get a pre done setup from anyone, you have no idea how any of it works and when it breaks you spend far more hours trying to figure it out than you would have if you had done it yourself.
  9. The PleasureDome is the best place but it does require a registration and if you download more than the "free" Mame rom sets you will be expected to share to maintain a ratio so you don't get kicked off the site. CompleteRoms.com has good downloads but I can only say they will work with newish versions of Mame, for FBA I cannot say for certain. Another choice is EmuParadise, their forums are much better than the main site. This is where I got my individual CPS 1, 2 and 3 sets a while back and they still work with the FBA core in RA.
  10. My honest suggestion is to source a new set of roms because if some are working and others are not then I have to believe that some of the games in the pack are older and incompatible with the emulator you are using.
  11. It's really worth the extra little bit of effort to configure it, I couldn't imagine using any other controller for non analog stick controller systems and games.
  12. Try the FBA2012 core and the FBA core without a year in its name.
  13. I can't remember but I seem to recall mapping them myself even though RA does a pretty good job of mapping most of the buttons correctly. It really isn't that difficult to remap things though, things have gotten much better than it used to be back in the 1.3.x days. Things are much more logical now and labeled better.
  14. I can't seem to reproduce it again now though, so it seems like it only happens with the slider set on a very specific point. If there were numbers to indicate the scaling so we could dial it in exactly and see what the number is when it happens that would be handy.
  15. Ok I just tried again and I was able to reproduce it. It seems to be when the size slider is set on a very specific point, smaller or bigger fixes it. Trying to find that one specific size point in the slider is tough.
  16. I cannot reproduce this and I have my box size set pretty small.
  17. His super villain name is "The Knob Fiddler"
  18. You will need to supply your own bios for any emulator that requires it.
  19. I can't view it since it requires flash and im not installing flash but maybe you have a platform of NeoGeo and a Mame import generated playlist for NeoGeo as well and you are mixing the 2 up ?
  20. You can find other tutorials and guides here on a forums, I have a thread with links to most of them.
  21. No and we can't distribute pre configured builds with emulators for the same reasons we cannot supply roms. It's against many emulators license to do so. You can find tutorials for most of the systems here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSIht6UXIEXIgz4eXAEShxA
  22. If it's a bug it's an extremely rare one since you are the only person to report it as a bug.
