  1. Sigh..... this exists now and it's not good at all
  2. Mame doesn't require you to mount the disk, just load it like in my tutorial. Edit: Just remember that the FM Towns Marty is a computer so Mame goes into "emulated keyboard" mode so to get normal keyboard functionality like the "Tab menu" and "Escape" you need to toggle it with the Scroll Lock key. Will most likely need to set up some sort of AHK script to toggle it after loading so you can close it out easier.
  3. I can't say I tried many of the games for it but the Zelda games worked just fine with both Snes9x and BSnes cores.
  4. Yeah, works fine with the couple of games I did bother to try out with it.
  5. That'll take you all of 2 seconds
  6. You really only should be using Mame to emulate consoles that have no other good options such as the NeoGeo CD or the FM Towns Marty.
  7. I haven't used 1964 in a very long time, no reason to anymore when Project64 and Mupen64plus (stand alone and Retroarch versions) are both far superior in every way and kept up to date.
  8. Yeah I checked out the Sameboy core a couple of days and looks to be great. I can't say much beyond that though since i'm not really all that into the Gameboy a whole lot but like you said it's supposedly much more accurate so i'll update the list on my post on page 1.
  9. Everything should work exactly the same as in the tutorial but with Mame. I have a 186 command line version of Mame setup just for console stuff like NeoGeo CD and it works exactly like in the tutorial
  10. It's all good, we try and be nice to people new to emulation and all that stuff around here, unlike some other places around the net
  11. I'll be nice and leave it up for you but I will move it to the Monkeys section since it isn't Launchbox related, hopefully someone here has some answers for you but I would think you might wanna ask on some of the NES / SNES classic hacking sites since those people will probably have the answers you are looking for.
  12. You do know this is the Launchbox forums right ? More specifically than that you are asking in the Launchbox\Troubleshooting section.
  13. I don't experience any issues on my HTPC with 2 gigs of ram.
  14. I would suggest some HLSL shaders, here are the preset settings I use: If you find it impacts performance too much turn them off and make sure bilinear filtering is on to smooth out the pixels. Another option is too look into simple scanline overlays which will help break up the pixels with little no performance hit but won't look as good as a shader.
  15. It's not one I have seen anyone mention unfortunately, I will tag @Jason Carr for you though, maybe he will have some insight.
  16. This one is now available as well.
  17. That's coming as part of this next round of betas.
  18. https://m64p.github.io/ This is probably the most up to date and easiest to setup version of Mupen64 then. There may be more up to date versions but I honestly don't pay that close attention to the N64 scene.
  19. Not that I have noticed. I like and use the Mupen64 core in Retroarch.
  20. You know he's just gonna scalp that account right ? lol
  21. They also operate under the premise of "Put up everything and take it down if asked" If you are bored sometime look up any of Jason Scotts videos on Youtube sometime, really interesting character and fun to listen to.
  22. They applied for and received a DMCA exemption.
  23. I would imagine they would be covered like how archive.org does and most companies probably wouldn't care but Nintendo has such a stick up their ass over stuff like this I could see them getting their panties all in a twist.
