  1. I honestly have zero experience with the Tosec stuff so I cannot say anything about it. I've heard of it and I know it exists but beyond that I can't say anything. But yeah if it's following the same philosophy as GoodSets which is to collect everything possible then it's going to become a mess.
  2. Yes, this is an emulator level thing. My 2 cents, avoid GoodSets and stick with No-Intro. Just way too much garbage to sift through with GoodSets. I made the mistake of using a TurboGrafx GoodSet way back when I started collecting, that was the last time I even looked at a GoodSet.
  3. Can you post a couple of screenshots of your Retroarch emulator windows in Launchbox ? The Edit Emulator window and the Associated Platforms tab of that window specifically. If your games are loading within Retroarch on its own outside of Launchbox the chances are you have something setup incorrectly in these windows.
  4. Not sure but you should be able to find out a way (if you can) using google.
  5. Well for starters you didn't give any idea of budget and what you are willing to spend. Second off you talk about 1080 but not concerned about UHD 4K resolution and "running at native resolution for authenticity". That in itself is a bit of a problem since even running at 1080 is well above the native 480 that the PS2, Dreamcast and Wii runs at to begin with. At 1080 you will still be upscaling and losing that "authenticity". In the end though for PS2 you will want a decent CPU since that will be the most power hungry emulator of the systems you mentioned. I really wouldn't go below a decent 3 GHz Intel for this, though a higher clocked AMD CPU would be just as fine for it. If you are planning on running any sort of shaders at all you will need something more than just an on board video chipset but you don't need anything overkill here. A simple lower end 1 gig gddr5 vram video card will handle any shader no problem. I have an old Radeon 7800 series with 1 gig gddr5 vram card in my HTPC and it's good with any shader.
  6. http://store.steampowered.com/app/367670/Controller_Companion/ This program is worth the couple of bucks it costs. It's easy to use and is awesome, I set this up on my HTPC and the "guide" button is set to launch BigBox.
  7. If you were missing the key Cemu would give you a message saying it was missing. That has been my experience with it so far.
  8. No settings to change with Cemu really. My best guess if you have an incompatible rom. If you load the game through Cemu outside of Launchbox does it give you any sort of error message ? Do you have the key for Mario Kart in your keys.txt ?
  9. You can run an additional app after closing the emulator out that will close down xpadder.
  10. Reicast uses a lot of hacks to achieve better speed but it runs fewer games.
  11. I bumped it up to 4th in the non * listed requests. I tried to organize that section in order of what I felt would benefit the most people over personal pet requests but of course it is a difficult thing to try and do since it is fairly opinion based.
  12. It's in there, it just unfortunately had only you asking for it so it had to go in the lower section of the list. I will slide it up within that section of the list unless you can convince some other fine people to request it as well. If you can get a couple more people to vote for it I will push it up further into the (*) section.
  13. Hehe yeah it did get pretty big but even if we can get the bulk of the things that got multiple requests that would be a nice big improvement overall.
  14. I have taken the requests up until this point and compiled them into an edited for clarity list. The compiled list is the 2nd post on the first page which I had reserved when I made this thread. Edit: If people still want to contribute to this thread please feel free to do so but check the list already for anything already on it. If you see something on it you would like as well please quote it from the list into a new post and I will then update the "Compiled" list with an * indicating another person has requested this.
  15. Give this video a watch. If I remember correctly it shows how to do it.
  16. Well that's unfortunate. I haven't looked at 2.4 at all, I didn't even know it was out so hopefully there is a way to disable it or else that will be a real shame if they made it proper nagware. I will just stick to Retroarch with the Mupen64plus core.
  17. No idea if they changed it from 2.3 or not but in 2.3 go into the /Config folder of your PJ64 install folder and open the Project64.cfg file in notepad and edit the line [Support Project64] Run Count= to say [Support Project64] Run Count=-1
  18. If you are referring to scanning them within Retroarch that is completely unnecessary when going through Launchbox. You would only "need" to scan your roms within Retroarch if you are wanting to join other players with netplay. As for why Retroarch not scanning in some games it is because your roms do not match up with its CRC checksum. Retroarch checks your roms against a checksum contained in its database which uses the No-Intro set to compare against.
  19. In Mame, both the stand alone and Retroarch core you can configure your controls on a per game basis quite easily. With a game loaded press Tab on the keyboard and then Input (This Machine) and set your controls. You can also bind a button to be 2 different buttons so it acts just like those 2 buttons being pressed the same time (3 works as well).
  20. No worries, glad you got it sorted out.
  21. That alone wouldn't make your games stop working and delete images. Are all games not working or only certain systems ? Also if you can provide a couple of screenshots of your Edit Emulator and Associated Platforms windows in Launchbox.
  22. If things just stopped working for no reason that is very strange and so is images just deleting. If you did a clean install double check your emulator settings Retroarch in Launchbox, make sure that your command line parameters are correctly matched up with the cores you have downloaded and in your /retroarch/cores folder.
