  1. Retroarch requires your games to be in cue + bin format, it won't work with simple iso images.
  2. Retroarch can be a bit more picky about disk images but it should work if set up correctly.
  3. Do you have other systems that require bios working in Retroarch ?
  4. Ok, which video and Cdrom plugins are you using ?
  5. Hmmm, yeah the SCPH1001.BIN bios is the right bios, did you try just using the HLE bios as a test ?
  6. Do you have bios or have you tried using the built in hle bios ? Are your games in cue + bin or do they have audio files like wav or mp3 ? Something weird is going on here.
  7. If version 2.0.5 of ePSXe doesn't work the way you want let me know and I will help you get Retroarch up and running.
  8. Try again with a newer version of ePSXe, I believe it's up to 2.05 now.
  9. Hehe well I won't talk about CADScotts method at all. But like I said my method is generated by Daphne itself so it is just gonna work and you just copy paste it.
  10. Ok are you talking to me or @CADScott? Because my method is a batch file generated by Daphne itself. If you are talking to CADScott then my mistake for thinking you were talking to me
  11. Because that's what was spit out by Daphne in the process I described and it's just a simple copy and paste.
  12. I use BGFX. Something to try even though I doubt it will make any significant impact if any at all is turn sleep off.
  13. @arkraider34What version of ePSXe are you using ? This was a problem before version 2.0 of ePSXe but since 2.0 it hasn't been a problem for me.
  14. Not sure why you are having troubles with the Cave shooters, with your system specs it should be fine. I run an AMD 8350, GTX 970 gpu and 16 gigs of ram (even though GPU and ram really don't matter unless using shaders) and they all run perfectly fine in Mame 178 for me.
  15. I will add my thanks as well even though I stay out of the database submission and moderation all together, there are much better people than I am at that sort of stuff. I do fully appreciate it all though.
  16. I don't know if there is public to do list other than the bitbucket page. I agree it would be nice if it was more organized like your first suggestion in your original post.
  17. In regards to #11 that would be better solved with a lockout feature that can be toggled on and off with a pin code so you could prevent people from accidentally getting in there which I think is on the to do list if it's not already in (I use normal mode more than BigBox mode personally) The functionality you are talking about like Emulationstation would require an awful lot of work on Jasons end and would slow down all other development for quite a long time. While it would be a nice feature I don't think it's an important one, certainly not one worth putting off other features for now.
  18. Well since you didn't specify which system or systems you want to use Mess for here is a basic run down of what I have done to get it working. Let me start off with I use a stand alone build of Mess, not a newer Mame build with Mess built in. I found it easier for folder structure and I like to keep it separate for organizational reasons. First thing you will need is the appropriate bios files for the systems you want to emulate. Doing a Google search for "Mess bios" should give you a site with what you need. Place the bios file in the \Mess\roms\ folder. Second is to add your rom folder location to rompath section in your mess.ini file. If you do not have a mess.ini file run the mess.exe with command parameter -cc mess.exe -cc This will generate an mess.ini file to configure it. Third you will now add Mess to your list of emulators in Launchbox and add each platform you are going to use it for in the associated platforms tab. Next, for each platform you will need to setup the Default Command-Line Parameters. Here is a page with all the different command parameters you will need for all the different systems http://pastebin.com/18W3EbD0 And here is a screen shot of my Mess emulator associated platforms for reference and examples.
  19. 4K with a good CRT shader should look really great. I believe integer scaling fits perfectly into the 4K vertical pixel count and @4K resolution you have the pixel density to make CRT shaders look really nice.
  20. Some good suggestions and are probably on Jasons to-do list like numbers 1 through 4. Number 6 I agree with a NeoGeo platform but FBA (imho) doesn't deserve a platform since it really isn't one, its a multi system emulator just like Mame is. There is also nothing preventing you from making your own custom platform and creating / getting artwork for it. Number 8 is already available, just go to Tools > Options > Images >Default Background and set it to Use Launchbox Default Background. Number 9 is easily done with a file search filter like *.cue or *.sfc for example. Number 10 is already there if you need to re do a game, just type in something close to what it is and it should populate the list with things closely matching as long as it is in the database. Number 11 I do not agree with at all, it's nice having some options in BigBox mode without having to drop out to normal mode just to make a simple change.
  21. Because RocketLauncher is an entirely overkill solution. While I personally do not care about something like this there are lots of people that like this sort of thing and hopefully it gets integrated into LB soon.
  22. Lol, it's all good. I often miss simple things thinking in my head "that's too simple of a solution to be right".
  23. Are you just talking about the row of letters at the bottom of the screen ? Simply press Left on the controller while in the platform and it will bring up the alphabet.

    Refund

Well if you want a refund you are best to email @Jason Carrdirectly and ask him. But as far as your complaint goes I looked at you post history and there is only one post you made where you didn't get a response. I am locking this thread, email Jason about a refund.
  25. There is no "good" reason that I can think of to use FBA over Mame other than some personal preference reason. I put good in quotes for a reason and that is because the only reason I have some FBA games setup separately from Mame is for NeoGeo and the Capcom CPS games with Retroarch shaders. But now with the newer versions of Mames BGFX shaders make Retroarch shaders not so big of a deal.
