  1. I would suggest getting another rom set, specifically a No-Intro set.
  2. All I am saying is if you really suspect trolling show us evidence to back it up. I may not care personally about fanart images but that doesn't mean I think they shouldn't be a part of the DB. I do think though that they are very subjective and open to interpretation as to what should and shouldn't allowed. Using the Mortal Kombat one as an example, if that image had things in it like a number or characters from other games then of course it shouldn't be allowed but as it is shown it is a pretty generic Mortal Kombat image and fits with MK3 just fine even if the stylized dragon is from MK9. We have the DB moderation setup with several people voting on things and not just one person making a decision to help combat any "trolling" issues and in the past certain blatant trolls have been removed from the DB moderation team.
  3. Well you aren't making your point very clear. You post a Mortal Kombat picture submitted by someone else and you say it shouldn't be allowed but then you go on to complain about other people not voting for your submissions. This is very mixed messaging. You say you don't have time and "shouldn't have to strain things in further proof" but you are the one making a claim of "trolling" against you. Come with evidence of it, you think we have time and want "the strain" to go looking for evidence of trolling towards you ? 1 vote against you is not evidence of trolling, just someone with a difference of opinion but if you can show there is clear trolling then we can forward it to Jason and he will do something about it.
  4. But there is nothing about that background that specifically says it is MK9, there is no number or characters to say it is or isn't. It's just a bog standard MK logo. Just because you don't want to use it for MK3 that does not mean someone else won't use it for that game. Again, it's fan art and subjective and again, I am not debating this. Either come with real evidence of trolling and let Jason deal with it or give it a rest.
  5. Ok well if you legit think it's a troll give better evidence to support your claim because this MK example is just poor.
  6. No, because "fanart" is very subjective. The end user can download it if they like and they can choose to use it if the like it or not use it if they think it's shit.
  7. Look, i'm really not going to get into a debate about this but if you were talking about official art work I would 100% agree with you but when it comes to media clearly labeled as "fanart" and something as generic as a Mortal Kombat logo then I simply do not care. As far as I am concerned 90% of the "fanart" is pure trash and a waste of drive space which is why I stopped scraping for it a long time ago.
  8. It's submitted as "Fanart - Background" which sounds extremely subjective to me.
  9. Add the platform in the edit emulator > associated platforms window. Scroll to the bottom and double click the empty box and add it and then select the core.
  10. Open the image in a new tab and right click save.
  11. Yeah you can make your own new theme using the default as a base.
  12. Just a couple I found with a quick skim through the BigBox Theme downloads page.
  13. Yeah Saturn emulation takes a decent powered CPU, you could try the Yabause core which requires less CPU power but the emulation quality is not as good.
  14. Of course. You need to have the correct bios in your Retroarch\system folder and you need to load the cue file of the game.
  15. It looks like you grabbed a "GoodSet" which is loaded up with all sorts of stuff. Asian and Europen region releases.
  16. Yeah it's illegal to sell roms because it is piracy and if the drive you bought has a premium license for Launchbox that is also piracy. I don't really have any suggestions for you as to what you should do because we are not going to provide support for a drive sellers drive when we have no clue in the world as to what they have done with that setup.
  17. Well we don't support pre loaded drives bought off Ebay or anywhere else because it is illegal but you can change your drive letter easily. https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-change-a-drive-letter-2626069
  18. Just drag the exe into LB to start the import wizard and on the first screen pick the None of the Above option. Then follow the rest picking the platform and any other option you want.
  19. If you are making edits to the mame.ini file it should stick unless your mame.ini is resetting for some odd reason.
  20. I can't remember if you can do it from within the Mame UI or not, I just edit the ini file and call it a day.
  21. You can edit themes but you need to do it manually by editing file using a text editor. Yes. Once you have videos you do not need to keep an account active to use them. Rule of thumb when it comes to storage: You can never have too much and buy as much as you can.
  22. Launchbox is a commercial product and nothing to do with preservation, preservation is for the emulator devs and rom archivers. Any notion that the XBox is "the best hardware" or that the community is moving over to it for emulation is just laughable. It's nothing more than a novelty and something for YouTubers to make videos about. The PC will remain the leading emulation platform for quite some time to come because it is by far the most flexible and open platform, not to mention the most powerful for newer and more accurate emulators. At the end of the day Jason needs to make money to provide for his family not make a frontend for a platform only a small handful of people will ever use. Hell, there's more of an argument to be made for a Linux version of Launchbox but that too does not have enough people to make it a viable business decision at this time. This may or may not change in the future but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it.
