That sounds like you moved your roms folder.

Moved to Off Topic section of the forums, this is not a Launchbox issue.

Launch Box and Big Box both use a crazy amount of memory Ram

In your task manager can you expand the Launchbox entry, for some reason yours has the number 4 beside it, mine only has a 2. -
I just tested it here in my setup and there is no problem with sound at all. I don't use any videos fancy themes with extra sounds though so maybe that could be an issue. I just use a very basic theme (Fundamental Dark) and the basic sound effects in BB.

Singe 2 (New Emulator) & Launchbox Possible?

That's unfortunate that the documentation is sort of misleading in that regard. -
Singe 2 (New Emulator) & Launchbox Possible?
Lordmonkus replied to MAl3Ad3yy's topic in Troubleshooting
Ah ok well like I said, I have no way of testing this. I don't so Daphne and I have none of the games or anything at all to even begin to setup Singe. I was just going off of the documentation text file from the site and in what I have pasted from it there is no mention of a need to supply an mp4 file along with the singe file. Reading what I pasted it only says the -v mp4 file is for alternate video files. What exactly is a .singe file ? Just some plain text file with information or is there more to it ? -
Singe 2 (New Emulator) & Launchbox Possible?
Lordmonkus replied to MAl3Ad3yy's topic in Troubleshooting
I have no way of testing this but looking at the install.txt file for instructions it should work: Usage: Singe-v2.00-Windows-x86_64.exe [OPTIONS] scriptName{.singe} -a, --aspect=N:D force aspect ratio -c, --showcalculated show calculated framefile values for debugging -d, --datadir=PATHNAME alternate location for written files -e, --volume_nonvldp=PERCENT specify sound effects volume in percent -f, --fullscreen run in full screen mode -h, --help this display -k, --nologos kill the splash screens -l, --volume_vldp=PERCENT specify laserdisc volume in percent -m, --nomouse disable mouse -n, --nocrosshair request game not display gun crosshairs -s, --nosound, --mutesound mutes all sound -t, --trace trace script execution to screen and file -u, --stretch use ugly stretched video -v, --framefile=FILENAME use an alternate video file -w, --fullscreen_window run in windowed full screen mode -x, --xresolution=VALUE specify horizontal resolution -y, --yresolution=VALUE specify vertical resolution -z, --noconsole My guess based on this is the .singe file gets imported into Launchbox and you pick which command line parameters you want to use. From there it's just some experimenting as to which check boxes in the edit emulator window needs to be checked or unchecked. -
Check these screenshots and make sure they line up with what you are doing.Post screenshots of your setup as well if you don't figure it out.

This makes no sense because the 32 and 64 bit versions of Mame support the exact same games. This sounds you like you have something setup wrong in LB. Is this using the latest (or at the least a relatively new version of Mame) or some older one ?

Incorrect platform names, inconsistencies
Lordmonkus replied to virividiann1198's topic in Contributions
If i'm not mistaken (and I could be) but I believe when Jason created the database he simply used https://thegamesdb.net as a template at the time because there were big problems with up time on it. Now I am not gonna sit here and debate how things should and shouldn't be named, I simply do not care because I have never had an issue getting any of the metadata or media for any of my games. I will only say that as far as the list of things to worry about and be fixed / worked on the database platform naming is really far down that list. As someone who spends a lot of time reading the forums and on discord this is an issue that never comes up. -
Incorrect platform names, inconsistencies
Lordmonkus replied to virividiann1198's topic in Contributions
In other words, everyone has their own opinion of how things should be named and if we change the names to suit your personal opinion then that will conflict with someone elses opinion and we're back in the same position. -
People love to jump on the "new hype" without any real thought as to what it really entails.

Launchbox does not and never will download roms for you.

Glad it was helpful.

Double check the actual platform name your NES games are imported to the Nintendo Entertainment System and not some other name. Also check that your rom path doesn't contain any non English accented characters. We have seen French and Spanish users have this issue in the past, it seems to be a Windows issue not liking to pass that along in the command line. Have you tried any other platform such as SNES or Sega Genesis ? Everything seems to appear correct in your screen shot.

There is no point in the parallel core at the moment, all the "accuracy" stuff from it have been implemented into the Mupen64-Next core, it's all under the core options.
-
FBNeo is the newer core based off FBAlpha, the devs of it split off recently because the guy who maintained it licensed it out to the makers of the Capcom arcade stick. The actual devs we're pissed off about this and forked off. Just untick the 2 boxes in the Edit Emulator window. I can't help you with that.
-
I didn't watch your entire video but right away I saw a problem and hopefully this fixes it for you. In your Edit Emulator screen for Retroarch you have 2 boxes checked that shouldn't be, Don't Use Quotes and Use File Name Only.I use the FBNeo core but I have a newer rom set that is compatible with it. Try unchecking the boxes in the Edit Emulator window and see if that works for you.

This means that you are using a crack or pirated license that has been shared around the internet. If you feel this is a mistake you can email support@unbrokensoftware.com, if this is not a mistake you can purchase a legitimate license and drop it into your Launchbox installation folder over writing the old license.xml file and everything will be working as it should.

If you have a 204 rom set I would suggest using the 204 version of Mame as well, using a newer version could break some games.
