  1. Locked this thread since the original question was answered and there is no need for it to become a place for asking other questions, especially asking where to get roms.
  2. Ahh, my bad, since this was a PS2 thread I assumed it was a PS2 game since I have never even heard of the game.
  3. Just like with bios we cannot provide links to rom sites, Google is your friend, also be sure to check the PCSX2 Wiki for any information regarding a game not working, not every single game works though the vast majority do. This is not the place to ask for games, that would be illegal and put the website and Jason at legal risk.
  4. What kind of favour do you want ? You want PS2 bios and you were told to Google for it, we cant link that for you. Use Google and please stop this spamming and I highly suggest you not call the mods names.
  5. It will work as long as the Mame devs don't change any of the file names which I don't see happening anytime soon.
  6. But what is the actual platform name you have your GBC games imported under ? Is it Nintendo Game Boy Color or something else slightly different like Game Boy Color for example ?
  7. Gabatte and Sameboy are the 2 best cores for Gameboy and Gameboy Color, Sameboy has the slight edge in accuracy. If one of those cores is selected make sure that your Associated Platform name matches the actual platform name you have your games imported under.
  8. Change the core in Launchbox to the Next core, when the recommended list was made the Next version of the core wasn't a thing.
  9. Like I said earlier in the thread, it's not about the i5 vs i7, it's the generation and the 4th gen was a big leap in processing power.
  10. My opinion is that AMD is the best bang for buck period, you get great performance and you really don't need to overclock them because there is very little overclocking headroom in the chips to begin with. That card is plenty for Wii U and PS3 emulation, those emulators still rely on good CPUs over GPUs as long as you have some sort of dedicated GPU and not some integrated graphics.
  11. In regards to that quote of mine at that time Intel was vastly superior but that has changed and now AMD CPUs are just as good as Intel. AMD really stepped up their game with their Ryzen chips.
  12. Your CPU is a first gen Intel as you stated, while it's clock speed is reasonable it is lacking the modern instruction sets that more recent gen CPUs have. I believe it was around gen 4 Intel really made a big leap and in recent years AMD has really picked its pace. Not really, for the reasons I mentioned above. Yes, both emulators are very early in progress, are glitchy and require a modern CPU to get any kind of speed out of them.
  13. 1 &2: There are Android devices that hook up to the TV and use a normal controller. 3: There is now a Linux based Launchbox solution.
  14. meh, i dont see an issue with it here, context is key and in this context it's funny and in good fun
  15. There is no good answer for it, it's personal preference but my preference is the stand alone Mame.
  16. Well I can't comment on what settings you would need for that specific game, i'm just saying that the Parallel core for now is redundant and pointless. You would be better off asking about the specific game and settings over on the Retroarch forums.
  17. There is no need for this core anymore at the moment. Use the Mupen core with either the GLideN64 plugin or the AngryLion plugin. The AngryLion plugin is what gave the Parallel core it's accuracy.
  18. World Heroes sounds right, Rasputin had the "golden hands"
  19. The texture pack stuff can be hit and miss but there are some amazing ones out there.
  20. No problem, the AngryLion plugin should work out of the box with no extra settings and all the hard to emulate games ie: Resident Evil 2 and the like run great. You can upscale the resolution but no texture pack enhancements for it. The GLideN64 plugin will let you do resolution and texture replacements and will play most games without issues but may run into some issues on certain games.
  21. Absolutely. GenesisGX, any of the Beetle cores which are just Mednafen renamed, any of the SNES versions (Snes9x, Higan, BSnes and Mesen S), Mesen) and Flycast for Dreamcast. IMO Retroarchs universal shader and audio driver make it superior than the stand alones, on top of that you have Retroarchs input latency reduction features like frame delay and even run ahead if you want to dive into that. The only emulators I don't use Retroarch in place of their stand stand alone conterparts would be Mame, Dolphin and PPSSPP. I still prefer the stand alones for those.
