Yes but I would recommend having a keyboard and mouse handy for those times when something happens, it is Windows after all. A simple wireless keyboard and touchpad combo from Logitech is all you need.

Super Gameboy is not a platform because it is not a system, it's a cartridge that allowed you to play Gameboy games on a Super Nintendo. Scraping Gameboy games as Super Nintendo won't scrape anything because those games don't exist or if they do they are Gameboy ports and you will get the wrong media.

It is simply a financial decision, Launchbox is a business for Jason, it's not a hobby project even though Jason loves working on LB. It's not even a side project to supplement his income, Launchbox is his income to support his family. I am hopeful one day a Linux version makes sense to Jason so we have it. I have long been a firm believer that Linux is the future of PC operating systems but unfortunately that day is not here yet, it is coming slowly though, Steam + Proton are making great headway towards it lately though.

Yeah, this discussion has been done to death at this point. There are several of us that would love to see it done but financially it makes no sense for Jason to dedicate time and resources to this, the market simply is not there to make it feasible. We have run polls on the subject and while there is a small and very passionate userbase for a Linux port it simply is not big enough.

Download the core if you haven't already and restart Launchbox, it should show after that.

Yeah, you can have your emulators where ever you want to have them, Launchbox doesn't care as long as they work.

I would just delete what you have in your \Launchbox\Emulators folder and set up Mame again in its own folder. You don't have to have your emulators in the \Emulators sub folder of Launchbox, you can put it where ever you want. None of my emulators are stored in the Launchbox sub folder for them, I have them all organized elsewhere.

Maybe i'm misunderstanding but by the sounds of it you don't have Mame setup in it's own subfolder of Launchbox\Emulators but instead you just have it all in the emulators folder which makes it a mess.

If you want it from the right click menu you can edit the associated platforms list for RA and add a new platform entry for the same platform you want another core and select the core you want. Then when you right click a game in LB you can choose which core to load it with.

You can already do this, just edit the game and set a custom command line for that game: -L "cores\name_of_core.dll"

That could be, of course I haven't tried them all and I certainly haven't tried any others in several years so maybe there is one or 2 that does have this feature.

While none of these are of any real interest to me personally they are huge additions and just another reason why Launchbox stands out in the front end market / scene. As far I am aware no other front end offers this stuff.

Untrue, many old racing games used analog controls, this is evident in the controller mapping screen for these games in Mame. This is my set, if you would like to use it as a base and make your own please, by all means make your own. I provided the spreadsheet to which you can easily add your own.
