I both worked it out for myself and found it pretty hard to use. lol

It should be... I use it for Ultrastik/Ultramap and it has a tab right there for Xpadder too. Haven't tried it but it should work.

I use it for its bezel features, pause and ultramap switching. It's a real bear to set up, but once you get it going it's pretty useful.

I'm getting a crash when I grab and drag the scrollbar to scroll in the game details sidebar. It does not crash if I mouse wheel scroll through it... only using the scrollbar. Error message is just the generic "has stopped working".

I don't read much science fiction any more, but my girlfriend just read this series and she really liked it.

Zork would be Dosbox. TRS-80 was a crappy old Radio Shack computer. It was actually the first computer I had. I have no idea if it's emulated, but would be interested to find out. I vaguely remember that game as well.

I took a mini-vacation this weekend and stopped in a place called Pinball PA. It's in a small town west of Pittsburgh and it has about 400 working arcade and pinball machines. There were some really old and rare games, and some real classics. A handful of the machines had problems and he had a few that were rebuilt or had some hardware that was not original, but overall it was a really awesome collection. You pay to get in and the games are all on free-play. Off the top of my head, some of the games I played: Major Havoc, Tempest, Dragon's Lair, Space Zap, Pole Position (sit down), Sinistar (sit down, what?!?!?), Spy Hunter (sit down), Moon Patrol, Blue Shark!!!, Battle Zone, Asteroids Deluxe, Space Invaders, Gorf, Discs of Tron, Tron, Joust, Galaga, Galaxian, Gaplus, Ikari Warriors, Black Widow, Boot Hill!!!!, Fire Truck, Omega Race, Destroyer, Sky Raider, Jaws, Sea Wolf, Missile Command, Marble Madness, Pac-Man, Baby Pac-Man, Berserk, Frenzy, Red Baron, Star Trek, Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Lunar Lander, Solar Fox, Wizard of Wor, Robotron 2084, Stargate, Defender, Mr. Do, Satan's Hollow, Gyruss, Afterburner, Warrior, Reactor, and probably some others... this is not including the pinball machines. I was there for 6 hours and didn't get to play a bunch of stuff. This place is definitely worth the trip if you can make it.

Heh... cute kid, man. Nice control panel too. What kind of joysticks did you put in it? The suction cup idea is brilliant. Along the lines of the "control type" info... is there any cleanup that can be done on that? There are many games that don't have a control type listed at all, and then some are listed two different ways, such as "8-way+stick" and "8-way joystick". I thought it would be more useful if it was standardized a bit.

You would want to get a split (instead of merged) set. You can do this with CLRMAMEPro, but it's a bit tricky. Easier probably to just download a split set. Then you can use Lightspeed to organize your set. I'm not sure if the option to move to folders is working yet but if/when it is, you could move your unwanted roms to another folder and then delete that folder.

Doesn't look like there's a whole lot in this one for us guys that use a frontend. They made a couple visual enhancements to the gui. Some incomplete graphical improvements for N64 and PSX.

I was just looking through some of my game lists... I have to say everything looks so much cleaner with the "ignore articles" alphabetizing.

There's been a few good tutorials on these forums that helped me get systems set up so I thought I would ask around as to whether anyone had experience. I've been wrestling with VP for a week or so... finally got it running. Now just want to get it in LB.

Dunno... should I not be asking people to share their setup?

Does anyone have Visual Pinball set up as an emulator in Launchbox? Are you able to launch and exit it without the table editor screen? If so, could you please share your setup with me so I can get it running? Thanks a bunch.

I was just checking out the alpha list in Big Box. Seems like it will help navigation a lot. One thought is that, to a new user, it may not be completely apparent as to how to access it, or that it is even there.

I am just going by memory, but I think you have to have the ones you are cycling through in the root shaders dir. I remember I had put some of my favorite ones in there, and I think that was the reason.

They are basically the same, but different in the way they run under the hood, as far as I understand it. A lot like the HL and GLSL in MAME. I usually go with the GLSL. I have also found that some CG's don't work for certain cores, and vice versa. I actually like the EasyCRT shader a lot. Hylian is good too. You have to tinker with it a bit to find one you like.

Cadet Stimpy said It was Deja Vu (on the NES), for me. I really enjoyed that game. This was one of the earlier games I played... black and white version on the Mac II, but didn't finish it. I honestly can't remember the first game I finished. It may have been an early PC game. I've always jumped around a lot and left a lot of games unfinished. Metroid is one of the first I remember finishing, but I'm sure there were some before that.
