  1. I said twice, I agree to disagree, which means no one is right. I will also add, that over the years, I have noticed that any criticism brings out a very adversarial attitude on these forums. I wish that wasn't the case.
  2. You have a whole forum with people offering ideas. All the ideas are right here. I've already said... I get it. You like the poll. You will argue with anything I say... I'm not interested in arguing with you. I've already said I'm willing to just disagree. I don't want to fight with you.
  3. My suggestion would be to do it like most other companies (most do not use a voting system for features/improvements) and interact with your customers, gather ideas and make informed, intelligent decisions, as developers, about what would make the product better. The voting system doesn't do this and doesn't allow that kind of interaction. Guys, listen... I know that anything I say about this you are just going to argue. I get it. I didn't bring it up to start a fight. I'm perfectly willing to just agree to disagree.
  4. I agree with a lot of this. I also have a love-hate relationship with Launchbox. My main complaint has always been the social-media-style "like" voting on what features and improvements will be added, and person-to-person discussion about what makes sense and would really improve the program generally go out the window. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people's input dismissed on these forums with the same comment "vote on it". I was told that Big Box pays the bills and that is why it gets the attention. I tend not to say much about any of this because it's just ignored, but I happened to read your post and tend to agree with a lot of it. I would like to see more organizational and functional improvement suggestions get some attention, but they never will through the voting system. This is proven over the years. All this said, LaunchBox really has a lot going for it, which is why I purchased it, and I certainly do love a lot of things about it.
  5. You will not only want to check out Hypseus, but also Google for HD rips of DL/DL2/SA, and you will find what you want. (I see Sundogak already mentioned this)
  6. Thanks. I'll take a look at the theme.
  7. Does this work for the U360's as well? I have been looking for a simple solution for the auto-mapping. Thanks.
  8. Is it possible to limit the number of screenshots showing in the game details panel? For instance, I have multiple arcade cabinet pics for many games... can I have just one display without manually weeding through thousands of pictures? Thanks for the help.
  9. Now that I'm using RetroArch for all my MAME-ing, I'm not quite sure how to set up auto-mapping for my U360 joysticks. I used to use something like this Rocketlauncher add-on with standalone MAME. Is it possible to use this or something like it as a "app" in LaunchBox? Can someone walk me through the steps for something like this? I would really like to be done with RocketLauncher. It would be great if Launchbox could integrate this ahk script for U360 support, but I'm ok with using a third party solution if that's the only way possible... just need some help with the specifics. Thanks for any help you can offer. I appreciate it.
  10. Not sure... mine doesn't look pixelated. Maybe a low res rip? Remember, these are rips of laserdisc, from the era of VHS tapes, so they aren't going to look like bluray movies. There are HD rips of DL and Space Ace out there if you want to search them up.
  11. The command for scanlines, if I remember correctly, is just -scanlines... at least that is what it is in Hypseus now. I have to warn you, though, the scanlines look horrible. Nothing like we are used to in the various shaders we use now.
  12. Thanks for this fix... it would totally freeze my system up.
  13. I'm looking at these now. These are really high quality. I'm not using the 16:9 style any more, but these look very good. If you ever have any high quality resources (bezels, instruction cards, etc) like these that you want to share for people to use as a starting point, that would be welcome too. This one for Alien Syndrome looks like one I did years ago that ended up in Metalzoic's packs. Anyway, nice job on these. 🙂
  14. Is there anywhere to download all the individual bezels as a pack? Would like to check these out. Thanks.
  15. If you are sorting/arranging by "Release Date by Year", is there a way to sub-sort by "Title"? As it is, the games are scattered within their release year making it harder to find what you are looking for.
  16. I'm all for, and have requested a few times a more robust MAME importing, categories, filtering, etc... but have been told that arcade is not a priority for LB, unfortunately... so, hopefully more people will talk about and request this type of stuff so that it gets some love.
  17. There used to be a "all killer no filler" playlist you could import with a LB addon called LightSpeed that would do exactly what you are looking for... it was abandoned after compatibility with LB broke, but maybe somebody could salvage some of that with an old version of Lightspeed? Just thinking "out loud".
  18. Turn off any scanlines you might be running and bump up the brightness and contrast just a couple notches in the MAME settings until the lines look nice and solid.
  19. Thanks. I worked through most of it last night. I realized the playlists were using the name MAME instead of arcade, which is one I had used a long time ago. Not sure why that was still in there, but obviously that was causing the empty playlists. I ended up deleting all the extra ones manually and then manually changing the platform names in the autopopulate rules. It took a while but I'm back on track and organized now.
  20. I deleted my arcade platform and re-ran the MAME importer, but my playlists are all still empty when it finished, even though I asked it to populate the playlists during the import wizard. Any help on this is appreciated. *edit* Along the same lines... if I want to delete playlists (like all the empty ones), the only way I can see to do it is do them one at a time, and there are many... so, I tried deleting the playlist folder in the LB directories and LB is re-creating them each time I close it. How can I permanently delete these and try to start fresh?
  21. I just noticed my Arcade playlists from the MAME importer are all empty. Is there a way to re-populate these without running the entire importer again?
  22. Oh, ok... I'm using Mupen64. Thanks for the answer.
  23. Does Simple 64 have a RA core?
  24. Ok, thanks for the answer. In the last page of the MAME importer, it lists all the roms. On the normal importer, it doesn't list the ones it isn't going to import... so I was afraid of messing up my arcade platform.
  25. The regular import dialog has that option... I'm not seeing it on the full MAME set importer.
