  1. If you are an old school guy that played these games with a spinner originally, you are definitely going to be a lot happier with the real thing. With the spinner in that spot you can comfortable left hand it, and then map a button or two on the other side for that game if you want to. Works fine for me. Set your spinner down on the console and try it in different spots until you find just where you want, before you mark and cut.
  2. I have a tankstick that I modded and I drilled and put the spinner above the P1 buttons, left of the start buttons. The layout spacing is slightly different than yours... not sure if it would work, but might.
  3. Ah ok... I didn't know this. I'm sure I just need to drop my ini in there and try again. Thanks. *edit* It looks like the set in the LB directory is 06/2022 which should be fine for my .244 set.
  4. A lot of stuff seems to get through the filters on the MAME import too. It seems like there is always some manual cleanup to do. *edit* It looks like the LB database is actually using the same files as the "official" set, so I will probably just back those up and download them from LB database to make thing easy.
  5. Sure, it works... but you would have to manually check thousands of roms and manually rename the mis-matches. I think part of this might come from LB MAME importer bringing in roms that aren't the optimal or parent roms. One example I just noticed is Gryzor (which is a Contra variant) being imported instead of Contra. There could be other problems, but I think the main game file name is supposed to match the art file names (in theory).
  6. A couple of quick examples... Bionic Commando, game is bionicc1, and art file is (as named in the "official" MAME art) bionicc. Another one is Berzerk... game files is berzerk, art file is berzerka. These are just a couple that don't show the art in LB, but there are a bunch of other ones.
  7. Ok... so, yes... within the LB interface. Yes, I know the directory has to be changed... I have already pointed to the proper folder in the platform options. Most of the marquees are showing properly, but the problem is with the ones, apparently that don't exactly match, in file name, the game file name that LB has imported.
  8. I'm using the official MAME art for my arcade set, and noticed that a lot of marquees, for instance, aren't being picked up in LB... I'm assuming because the file that LB imported doesn't match the name (ex. aliensu and aliensj, aliensw, etc) of the art file exactly, even though LB is pointed to the proper directory for the marquees. Is there an easy way to get LB to pick up and use these art files without having to manually go through thousands of arcade games and do it manually? Thanks for the help.
  9. Thanks... I did that actually. There were a few conflicts, but I think I got them worked out. At least I'm learning a few small things about how these work.
  10. It's a nice option to have as an end user.
  11. Developer, release date, file, play mode, last played, region, etc...
  12. Thanks... I was trying to get the text under the thumbnails. I didn't realize it had to be coded in the theme for that to work. Sorry for the confusion.
  13. Thanks. I guess I was asking if the there was a way the user's selections in the general LB options (under game details) could control which categories show in the game details panel, or if the theme overrides those and would have to be altered to show the categories that the user might want.
  14. Thanks. I've posted the question in the Default Plus theme thread.
  15. I'm not able to get the "text on all games" to work for the default plus theme, even after I repair it. Just wondering if this is hard-coded into the theme not to be a working option, or a general bug? Thanks for the help.
  16. Should this work for all themes? I still can't get the "text on all games" to work for the default plus theme, even after I repair it. Just wondering if this is theme related or a general bug?
  17. If there are game details categories selected in the general options (publisher, series, etc) that aren't showing in game details, is this controlled by the theme files? If so, is there an easy way to add more categories that you might want? Thanks for the help.
  18. I like that JVC frame. I had one of those TVs, at one point, years ago.
  19. Just wondering if there are any known problems with the media downloader... the problem I'm having is that I can download images through the "edit" option for an individual game, but those same images (screenshots, etc) are not downloading through the media downloader for all selected images (this is with the LB database, not emumovies). I've tried changing the various options for the downloader, such as replace/don't replace media, etc... Is this something I'm causing, or a problem with the media downloader? Thanks for the help.
  20. I'm missing something. I just tried all your suggestions, but I get the same result every time. Thanks for the help, though. *edit* Oddly, I just tried this on Game Gear / Genesis (on the same core) and it worked fine, just as you said. Not sure why I'm having trouble with the Gameboy systems... but I decided to just switch to separate cores for those to prevent additional hassle. Thanks again.
  21. It doesn't seem to work for me. I save the shader directory option, then content directory in the overrides menu, but when I go back to a game in the other platform it still has the wrong shader (I did this process for both).
  22. I know this is an old thread, but I've run into a similar problem trying to run two different shaders for GB and GBC, both running on the Gambette core. I know there is a save per directory in the shader "save" options, and my roms for the two platforms are in different directories, but each time I use this option to save my shader and parameters it doesn't seem to work... it will just load the same old core shader stuff for both platforms. Any other steps I should be taking to get this to work? Thanks for the help.
  23. He is definitely the man.
  24. Have you looked into ExoDos? It takes some extra reading commitment, but you can get a huge Dos collection where most everything is already prepped for you.
