  1. Steam hasn't updated yet for me I guess, for whatever reason, and SteamLauncher is still working fine for me. But, there is an option in the SteamLauncher settings under the Misc tab to update the vtables. Not sure if it works or not as I can't test it, but its worth trying.
  2. Why are you downloading zips of anything? Just grab the exe installer: https://github.com/thebezelproject/BezelProject-Windows/releases
  3. Good question. I set up a desktop config called Disabled with no mapping a long time ago because it was confusing me at the time, and the controller doesn't work at all in Cemu when I launch with Vulkan. So it very well could be launching my empty desktop config.
  4. If you send me a private message, I'll help you get all setup. Or you can reach out Lahma on Steam. It sounds to me like you're just not installing it properly, but personally I'd need some screenshots of your setup to see exactly what you're doing wrong. If I use my intuition and take a wild guess.... did you decompress the file before you put it in the plugins folder? Remember, download file from here: Decompress using 7zip or winwar or whatever you like. After unzipping you will be left with a folder called "Steamlauncher" Put "Steamlauncher" folder in Launchbox/Plugins folder. Open launchbox / close and reopen launchbox if its already open.
  5. Firstly, for me those things are spread out over 3 drives. Steam is on the C Drive. Launchbox is on L Drive (SSD). Roms are on R Drive (Big internal HDD). Secondly, I did the requested process. Here's a the pastebin specifically to the Gameoverlayrenderer file for the Vulkan launch. (Note, you said log files, for me they are .txt files I'm not sure if that's different or matters): https://pastebin.com/hhLC5Cm5 So, I do have the OpenGL version of both files, let me know if you need them. However, interestingly enough, when launching with Vulkan enabled in Cemu, Steam just doesn't create the "GameOverlayUI.exe.log" at all. I did OpenGL first, both files created no problem. When I switched to Vulkan Steam only created the GameOverlayRenderer file, no matter how many times I launched.
  6. Download the plugin, and put the whole steamlauncher folder in the Launchbox/Plugins folder. Launch launchbox. Go to "Tools" and then "Steamlauncher Settings" and enable it from there. Done. On older versions of windows, you sometimes had to right click the actual DLL file for some plugins and click "unblock", but that went away a long time ago.
  7. Citra has always been hit and miss with me, but it wasn't that the overlay just wouldn't come up. In Citra, if I bring the overlay up once, and then close it, somehow all of the buttons are jumbled. I have to just bring up the overlay again and close it, and for some reason that straightens everything out. Definitely odd behavior. Is that what you're seeing?
  8. Can confirm is not the issue. I've tried with it on and off in my testing as well, it doesn't change anything in terms of Steam and Cemu. Someone was talking about that setting a long time ago .. somewhere .. which is how I knew to check. In fact, I had just left that setting turned off the whole time since. But thanks for trying to help!
  9. I just solved this little problem as well with OpenGL. Horrible screen tearing. I turned vsync off in Cemu and turned it on FOR Cemu via nvidia control panel, and it's working like a dream now. And I agree, it is curious. Edit: just read that reddit threat and that sure could have saved me a lot of time. 🤣
  10. I think that's probably just for regular users as the auto import has features that makes importing easier for newbies and for people for whom that functionality is enough. And yeah, you can't have an empty platform. I think it keeps all the settings, but it won't display in LB/BB if its empty. Either way, I'm glad you got it working.
  11. WOWWWWWWWWWWWWW. I've tried like every permutation of every setting of every version of every imaginary number physics equation to get this to work. haha. EXCEPT, switching from Vulkan to OpenGL... which I just tried and Steamlauncher worked perfectly. So do the various nonsteam games I have for cemu and zelda now. I'm quoting Corgana below so they get a notification in case this fixes it for them. Its not totally ideal because you can't do async shaders in OpenGL as far as I know, but it's good enough for me. Thanks as always Lahma. The weird part is... aren't you using Vulkan? What could cause Steam to freak out over a renderer like that? Let me go ahead and answer all your questions just in case its a compounding issue: 1: Works in OpenGL, not in Vulkan 2: I have Xbox Game Bar, Discord and GeForce experience, but AFAIK none of them are actively running... maybe they got a background process going I'm not aware of? 3: I tried every permutation of having Steam and or Cemu running as ADMIN, none works, so I set them all back to not running as admin. As above, try checking to see if you're using the Vulkan renderer in cemu and switching to OpenGL.
  12. I hope I don't get roasted for this, but for most users Kodi is going to be a much better Media Center experience. It would just take a lot of work to get Bigbox to do what Kodi does, though I have seen some people do it. You don't need to use your own videos for Kodi. Kodi isn't the easiest thing to configure at first, but the apps you're looking for are called "add ons" and you can download them from within Kodi and also manually if you'd rather that.
  13. Sorry, lets be clear on terminology as well. The highest level is "Platform Category". The standard ones are Console, Handheld, etc. You can create custom Platform Categories and nest "platforms" under them. The lowest level is "Platform." This is typically a full console set or handheld set, e.g Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Since this is the lowest level, you can't nest more categories under this. However, if you wanted all of your roms in one platform, you could feasibly add a custom tag and and then sort by those tags, and because you can technically treat a playlist like a platform, you could put each set into a playlist and then set the playlist to show up under the Platform Category... but the above method of just importing them as multiple platforms and then using Platform Categories is easier just in terms of sorting the roms.
  14. Thats the best method. You can import them as individual platforms, right click them, and set them only to show under the custom SNES Rom category. I'm not sure where you read this is a bad method, but I have custom platform categories for series, misc. and even favorites all of which have custom platforms in them that I arranged only to show up under those custom platform categories. Edit: just to be clear if the roms are already seperated into folders, import a folder as a platform and give it a name. Then do the same for the other folders. Then right click the system names in launchbox one by one, click edit, go to the "parents" tab, uncheck "root" and check the custom platform category you created.
  15. Throwing this out there, but the issue isn't directly related to the Steamlauncher Plugin: Is anyone else having trouble specifically with Cemu 1.26.2f (latest version) where the overlay refuses to pop up? This seems to be a problem specifically with the emulator (or at least my setup) and Steam. I know its not the plugin because I've used multiple methods to import the emulator (and the games) directly into Steam and the overlay still doesn't work, plus Lahma himself tried to help me troubleshoot it for a while and he's just as stumped. I'm hoping this is just a problem with this Cemu version as it worked in the past for me. Also, I have tried a full fresh install of Cemu to the same results. I'm tired of messing with it atm but tomorrow I'll see if I can't install an older version of cemu to test. Thanks peeps!
  16. In Steam options, you can turn on "show big picture overlay when in desktop mode". If that's what you're asking...
  17. I wouldn't go reverting back to windows 10 over this, since I can verify it works on windows 11 just fine. Are you in the Steam Beta program? Just reading back a few posts and that seems to have caused some problems.
  18. As always you're a helpful fountain of information! Yeah I was talking about the UAC. And don't worry, I'm not a computer guru but I knew enough to turn it back on after testing. 🤣 I'm about to go stop everything from running as admin as well. Thanks for the heads up on that! I've tried both the genshinimpact.exe and the launcher.exe in every facet I could, same problem either way. Putting it all together, however, it sounds like Genshin Impact "has a flag set that requires it to be run as admin" and for whatever reason mine isn't (could it be because I'm a weirdo and I install all my PC games, even ones from other launchers, in the steamapps/common folder on an internal drive that isn't C:), and hence the UAC messages every launch. And maybe this is somehow messing with the overlay for normal operations through LB cause it sounds like our setup was almost identical. That mine gives me a UAC message is the only difference. I've also looked up ways to make the message disappear and theres plenty of info so I'm not the only one having this problem with the game. Its a fun game, and the standard controls aren't terrible so I honestly don't think its worth all this fuss. I just tend to take things when they don't work as a learning opportunity. I'm happy to just make sure I run steam as admin before I play it.
  19. Lots of good new stuff coming out recently for LB, but this literally dropped my jaw. Granted I've looked at maybe 1 percent of this pack so far 😅, I doubt I'll spend as much time picking logos as you did making these, but you gave me many more hours of joy from launchbox and retrogaming. Sincerely, thanks. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go obsess over logos for a month.
  20. VTech Socrates Clear Logo Pack View File Please note that these are not genuine replications of the logos (I don't know how to use photoshop and the like). It's just a pack of logos I put together using flamingtext dot com badly approximating the actual logos. The system doesn't get a lot of love though, so I figured I'd make these available in the meantime if anyone wants to have some logos for this system. All in all though I'm happy with the result. 22. Thanks for following up. I got mad with it and put it down for a bit. Just tried again. Does it work, yes and no. Things I did: Set LB/BB Steam and SteamOverlayUI to all launch as admin. Turned off LB Gamestart screens because after seeing it so many times I got mad with it haha Tried importing genshinimpact.exe to launchbox Tried importing launcher into LB instead of genshin exe Turned off that windows nag notification (but I'm not happy about having to do that, still can't figure out why it comes up every time I launch). Nothing made it work through launchbox with Steamlauncher. However something in the above did make the overlay work when launching through steam proper, which is good enough for me. I setup all my steam games in LB, but the truth is I don't open launchbox just to then launch a steam game so I'm good to dive into this game I've heard so much about this evening. I do have one question: Is there any reason for me to not want to run all of these things as admin? Or should I just leave them like that from now on? Thanks peeps!
  23. More of a general question but has anyone been able to get the Steam overlay working on Genshin Impact? Things I've tried: Importing GI exe into launchbox and launching with Steamlauncher enabled Importing GI exe into Steam as a non-steam game and launching. The above two methods while running Steam as an Administrator The overlay just stubbornly refuses to show up. Relevant details: I'm running in 4k windowed mode as GI doesn't let me run full screen. I downloaded the game from the website, not EPIC Every time I run the game I get that annoying Windows warning "Do you want to let this app make changes to this device?" (Can't make it stop, and wondering if this is somehow interfering with the overlay.) Any advice appreciated!
