  1. if i remove the line to close demul or parent process, i cannot exit a demul game. how are you existing the Demul games now?
  2. maybe you should go into the steam streaming big picture controller settings and see if anything looks wrong there. for me, i'm using xbox 360 controller, but all the mappings worked fine for me out of box. i used the default streaming big pic controller mappings. pcsx2 seems to be working ok for me, although i have other issues with Bigbox and steam link streaming.
  3. is it possible your controller automation button combination is also triggering a hotkey or something in the emulator you are trying? did you try any other button combos? it works fine for me in MAME and Dolphin with an xbox 360. Edit: you aren't running anything else for the xbox 360 like Xpadder, are you?
  4. i'd advise first that you work on exiting the emulator on its own using Escape without Launchbox or controller automation. once it works on its own, i think it will work with LB.
  5. i don't think @Jason Carr has seen the threads on this issue yet.
  6. I have the same problem only started fairly recently. I filed a ticket here: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/2618/controller-automation-exit-is-making
  7. suddenly, using controller automation to exit games with my xbox one or xbox 360 throws me from bigbox to my desktop and leaves an invisible bigbox.exe running. i have to kill the bigbox process. so far this only happens from Demul and Retroarch. Dolphin and PCSX2 don't have this problem. i don't know when this broke because i haven't been playing much lately with Bigbox until now (i usually use LB and it's no issue there), but it definitely was not a problem in previous LB/BB versions i've used. i'm on 7.7 release version now. i'm posting this thread because i thought this was only with steam big picture, but it turns out this issue is with Bigbox and must have come up fairly recently as i never had this problem before. here is the bug i filed: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/2618/controller-automation-exit-is-making i couldn't change my other posting title, so i am posting this thread instead. here is my other post with more info:
  8. https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/2618/controller-automation-exit-is-making
  9. even worse if i use the BB setting to hide taskbar. going to file a ticket on this. this is a major bug that has come up
  10. oh man, same thing is even happening with no steam running at all and just using Bigbox. pressing start then select throw me back to the desktop with a hidden bigbox running. have to kill bigbox with task manager.
  11. i tried changing controller automation to use start and select buttons as well one my xbox one controller (used to use left stick click and right stick click) but same issue.
  12. so it seems to go back to BB properly if i just press the escape key on my keyboard. the problem is when using controller automation to exit.
  13. ugh, same thing with Retroarch emulators/games.
  14. hey @Jason Carr , if i run bigbox from steam big picture and then run a demul dreamcast game, when i exit the game with controller automation, it exits but throws me back to steam big picture instead of Bigbox, and leaves an invisible bigbox.exe running in task manager but must be killed before you can use Bigbox again. so, far i have only seen this with Demul. so, i'm just not sure what to do about the Demul DC games. They work fine from Bigbox when bigbox is not run from steam big pic. also, i have to run steam big picture in windowed mode, otherwise lots of game emulation doesn't work when bigbox.exe is run from steam big pic (focus and other issues).
  15. You can add the roms by file and just type *.rpx in the search box. That should get you only the rpx files to select all.
  16. Yeah, GREAT idea, or at least make it so people can somehow share this for each platform.
  17. nice!! glad it works now.
  18. yes, when running as admin, it does not have your user mappings. try running it without admin and see if it works. it should. to prove it, open cmd.exe (not as admin) and run command: net use you'll see your drive mappings. then run cmd.exe as admin and run : net use you won't see your drive mappings.
  19. Wow, that's weird. You don't launch Bigbox as admin do you?
  20. Typing @Jason Carr so that cool guy can see how cool this is and how many cool people are voting for it
  21. Yup, I've wanted something like this as well. I will vote. thanks!
  22. I setup Steam streaming from computer to computer. On my second computer that is streaming from my main PC, I get the same MAME crash on start when I have Steam big picture launch my Bigbox and then try to launch a MAME game from Bigbox. It's a major bummer. Other emulators seem to work for me in this type of setup, but not MAME. only when steam launches bigbox and bigbox launches mame and the game, do I get this.
  23. There is also another option. You could make a symbolic link with mklink so your current LB drive and folder points to anywhere you want on your SSD. That's it , you don't have to do anything else. So, you would cut your current Launchbox folder from your hard drive and paste it onto your SSD (that moves the folder). Then you would run the mklink command to create a Launchbox link where launchbox used to be on your hard drive and supply the path to where you moved it to on your SSD. That's it. To LB and everything else, they will all still think your LB was not changed or moved but it really was. Here is an example of mklink command for changing a folder to a different drive:
  24. I see. Well, that's irritating. I wonder if you could just put a batch file in your user's startup folder with something like this command in it: type x:\dummy.txt Where x: is your mapped drive letter and dummy.txt is just an empty text file to access with the type command. So, basically it would just flash and go away at login. Curious if that would work for you. I'm sure you tried updating your network driver.
  25. it sounds like you did not map it as a persistent drive. Example: net use s: \\myserver\games /P:Yes
