  1. In Launchbox go to tools/options/updates and turn on beta releases.
  2. I think that only fills if you are extracting, but i could be wrong.
  3. What video player are you using? If windows media player try switching to VLC in the options/videos section of Bigbox.
  4. Guess you two missed this is in the Android section.
  5. Maybe you should actually read this thread, "Database" moderators have no way of deleting threads.
  6. Yeah, you are only changing the path, not the actual emulator.
  7. You can, you can add any category you like.
  8. Why does that rompath have Launchbox/Launchbox in it? Doesnt seem right.
  9. Then why use rocket launcher at all?
  10. Also for the record i on the latest version of afterburner/riva, and i havent needed the exception.
  11. Open riva tuner, and click the add button at the bottom, navigate to the exe, the turn monitoring off at the right side of the window.
  12. This is also why i never use the "windows importer" same thing, so many games are not added to the start menu that its a bit pointless, i find keeping shortcuts in a folder and dragging and dropping that far more efficient there. Its a lose lose thing i guess, dont have the option and people will ask for it, but then adding it is never gonna work 100%, tricky balance.
  13. Yeah that sounds like a good compromise. This was my first time using that importer so i wasnt exactly sure how it worked (was it like the steam one for example), so this all makes more sense to me now. I think of the handful of games i actually have installed, some were done via the install.exe, some from the GOG client, and others have been installed for a long time and have been cut/pasted to other drives over the years.
  14. Ah OK, ill delete the platform and re-import.
  15. If i run the importer again i get no games, which makes sense as i already imported them all.
  16. Hmm, it is possible i moved the installs to a different drive at some point, but i'm not sure. Do i need to delete the platform first, or can i just run the importer again and do a scan?
  17. Hmm OK, looking at what Launchbox says is installed vs what actually is, it seems the games on my D drive show as installed, but the games i have installed to my E drive dont show as installed. How are you determining what is installed or not, could it be a drive letter issue?
  18. Yeah it was blank for that game, i didnt tell it where the folder was. It was my first time using that importer so i just ran through it without customising anything. I wasnt sure if it was supposed to show there or not to be honest, so i just ran with it.
  19. I actually ran the GOG importer for the first time last night and i am seeing similar results, i have a game that says its not installed, there is no path in the edit screen, and there also wasnt a folder listed for it on import. Shadow Warrior 2 edit screen. And the same game in my "Installed" filter in GOG Galaxy 2.0. And the location it is installed at.
  20. They are the same core, its called beetle in the UI, but the actual core name is mednafen.
  21. Sure for digital only ones, but machines that actually have physical spinning reels with the pictures on, how would that work? The dump will have all the actual code to control all the lights and and the logic for bonus rounds and holds and such, but as the actual reels are physical what would it spin when you press the button? There is a emulator out there that will play some specific games called MFME, but that requires nearly full reproduction of all the visual aspects of the machine in order to work they wont work in MAME "as is". I mean "technically" they would be "mechanical" games as they use specific hardware in them. From the thread linked below, "But MAME only emulates the roms, it doesn't re-create the image of the slot. MFME emulates the roms, but is also an editor that allows the creators to re-produce the appearance of the slot - normally from a scanned flyer."
