  1. You can set playlists to show anywhere you like. In launchbox right click a playlist and edit, go to the parents tab, and check the box's for where you want it to show up. You need to be in platform category mode first.
  2. You dont need to use the -c commands anymore, and you also dont need to split cores. Retroarch now has three override types, "save core override" "save game override" and "save content directory override" use the content directory override, for different settings for cores that support multiple systems.
  3. Hamburger menu/Help/force update metadata package. It dows update automatically when you do something that requires metadata. Also its worth noting the actual database is only updated every 24 hours.
  4. Well that is all changeable if you edit the theme. This is just how Jason decided to display them in his default theme. Other creators, or yourself if you edit a theme are free to put those where you like in the game details bar.
  5. Well that is something specific to your system then. I use both the startup/shutdown screens and the pause screens with Retroarch just fine. Do your settings match these?
  6. Thats cool, but this thread is for beta testing, so lets stick to that please and not start spamming it with high scores.
  7. Just to check, is the emulator actually crashing as im guessing not? I think you are just seeing the the Launchbox shutdown screen, which can happen if the emulator loses focus and therefore Launchbox thinks it has been closed and shows the "game over" screen. So i would check that as well.

Download the latest version to a different place on your PC and try it there. You dont have to update it you can have as many retroarch folders as you like as its a just a zip file and can go anywhere.
  9. They probably have upscaling on by default is all. Or they are using some sort of filter at default which isnt ideal. As i said sprites/images will always look low res because they are low res images, like the title screen. Once ingame the actual 3D parts will be upscaled to a higher resolution that you specified. However any sprites will still look low res, like the actual cart models as they are sprites on a 3D background.
  10. The n64 as a old console is low resolution as standard. You can upscale the graphics in the retroarch/quick menu/options to a higher resolution. This will only work for 3D graphics though, any image that is simply a 2D sprite will always look low resolution, as it is.
  11. Well if they dont work there then they wont work from Launchbox either. What file type are they?
  12. But do those n64 games work if loaded directly from retroarch. We are trying to ascertain if its a problem with your roms/retroarch or how you have set it up in Launchbox.
  13. Its still just a rom folder, so add it in the same place as your existing roms location.
  14. We do not provide support for pre-built builds as we simply have no idea how it has been setup and what other tools are also being used. This is the problem with pre-builts, you have no idea what went into setting it up, and therefore how to fix it when something breaks. When setting up your own build you will learn how things work, and how things connect together, making troubleshooting and fixing it easier as you understand the process more.
  15. Also Bigbox is not saying it is loading, that is rocketlauncer saying that, so you have a issue with Rocketlauncher by the looks of it, and not Launchbox/Bigbox.
  16. Tools/Manage Emulators/Emulator Name/Startup Screens, there is a slider from 1-30 seconds.

Yeah, so that all looks correct. So my guess is bad roms at this point if they wont even load in Retroarch itself. I would try another emulator as well just in case though. ASll my Mega CD games are in CHD format and work just fine in Retroarch. I do notice you are using a very old version of Retroarch, maybe thats a issue? Also in the image you just posted does it list CHD as a supported format? Your image is cut off there, maybe they werent supported that far back and you need to update the core/Retroarch?

Sounds like your roms are bad then. Sounds like your bios is good as i believe that is what you are seeing at launch. I guess it could also be that Retroarch is only seeing one bios file and the games you are testing are for a different region. Can you load the core by itself, go to information/core info and see if retroarch is seeing your bios files correctly.
  19. Also be sure to add whatever name you choose to the associated platform list for that emulator.

What emulator are you using? Do the games work in the emulator by themselves not using Launchbox?
  22. Its not advertised when it is updated, its a manual process.
  23. Just re-run the importer and uncheck media downloads.
