  1. Yeah, you just want the cityhunter folder, move it out of the cityhunter_2_.(theme.......folder to be in the themes folder.
  2. Are you sure you unzipped it correctly and dont have a cityhunter folder inside the cityhunter folder?
  3. Awesome, looks great @Grila i cant wait to check it out.
  4. They are added to the parent rom in the right click menu.
  5. So what you would do is import the system and uncheck all the media downloads, then once its all imported you highlite all the games and initiate the metadata and images wizard and choose the option i mentioned above and it will just grab what you are missing if it is available.
  6. Yes, you can add your current media to the correct folders in launchbox, which would be Launchbox/Images/name of platform/name of image type or you can keep them where they are and point Launchbox at the folders, however this is tedious as you will have to do it per platform and per image type, so will take a while. The easiest way as i said is just to copy them to the appropriate folder. Same for videos, just copy them to Launchbox/Videos/name of platform. When you initiate a metadata and images update in Launchbox you will get three options of how to update that info, the middle option there is "download media but dont overight existing metadata and media" that will just grab the missing stuff and leave everything else as is.
  7. They all use demul as the emulator,so they are not needed for a MAME importer.
  8. Those systems do not work in MAME, that is why there are no MAME playlists for them.
  9. Well i know nothing about making themes, so you wont ever see me there.
  10. Jason the dev is very accommodating in that regard, if you were to purchase a license and for some reason it was performing poorly for you, then you could ask for a refund, it would of course nuke your license at the same time though.
  11. Launchbox and Bigbox come as one program, with two .exe's one for each UI. Launchbox is what you will use for all the setup, so adding roms, adding emulators, grabbing artwork and videos etc. Then Bigbox is the controller and cabinet/TV friendly interface, you can not do any of the setup in the Bigbox mode that is strictly done in Launchbox, but Bigbox uses allof the .xml files and images and such as Launchbox. Just think of it as one program with two different UI's, one mouse driven for setup and editing, and the other uses all that information but in a attractive controller friendly format. Yes you can just sync the Launchbox folder like you currently do. (as long as everything needed is contained within the Launchbox folder of course). Your Launchbox license allows you to install on as many PC's as "you own" as you want, so you only need the one license. I cant help with that specific question, i messed with hyperspin for a day or so before i found Launchbox and never went back to it, it was just such a pain in the arse to setup, and Launchbox was a breeze so i never looked back to Hyperspin, maybe some of our users who have made the switch will chime in here at some point.
  12. Also thats a silly question to ask here. We have a lot of former Hypersin users here who made the switch to Bigbox. I dont think you will find many people if any on this forum saying they regret making the switch.
  13. Hi and welcome to the community. 1) Yes, but premium will also get you some extra features in Launchbox also. 2) Bigbox is only available if you have a premium license, Launchbox with premium unlocks some extra features like UI customization, and controller automation not available in the free version of Launchbox. 3)Launchbox is the desktop UI designed for actual setting up and management of emulators and roms and is mouse driven, it can use a controller to mimic a mouse also, but its far from ideal for a desktop program. Bigbox is designed specifically to be controlled with a controller or a keyboard. 4)Yes. 5) Launchbox/Bigbox has come a long way since 2016 and is generally very performant. Of course it will depend on your PC specs and how big your library is, but there have been huge strides there over the years. Bigbox will make use of a GPU also if you have one so you should see good performance there if you have one. 6)That is up to you, it is not needed at all as Launchbox can manage all of the roms and emulators and such, of course you can use rocketlauncher if you want, but thats a added layer of complexity that is not needed, but each to there own only you can make that choice. 7) you can just point Launchbox at your current retroarch instal, so you wont have to start from scratch if you want to re-use some things. 8 ) If the videos/images are named after the rom name or the actual game name they should work just fine. Also if you have emumovies premium, a scraper for that is built into Launchbox, so it will grab images/videos automatically for the games you import. 9) Launchbox doesnt need a internet connection to work, but of course it will while importing and downloading images/videos and such. Also the Launchbox program is completely portable, so if you were to keep your emulators and roms within the Launchbox folder structure its simply a case of copy and pasteing the whole Launchbox folder to a new drive or PC. Hope that helps you, if you have any follow up questions feel free to ask.
  14. If you google "Playstation bios" without the quotes its the top result, so not difficult to find at all.
  15. Yep, and as i said in the thread you seem to of deleted you will need a Playstation bios file, it looks like the emu you are using has some sort of built in bios if the games load from the program itself, but that is likely not very good and i would imagine it to have a lot of compatability issues. As i stated in your other thread track down the bios file needed and then use either epcsxe or the mednafen core in retroarch.
  16. Try installing the new version directly over the top of your current install, here is the link, you will need to add your email again and use the link in the email you receive. https://www.launchbox-app.com/download
  17. Yes Launchbox is now themeable just like bigbox. The background boxes can be removed in Tools/Options/Boxes and slide the Background Opacity to zero. Also the box size can also be adjusted with a slider in Tools/Options/Spacing. Here is how mine looks.
  18. I see you are using MAMEUI, try copying the mame.ini from the ini folder into the root MAME folder and test again.
  19. Yes because it needs to be designed for the new interface not the old one. - Plugin errors will no longer prompt the end user, and in the vast majority of situations, plugins shouldn't be able to crash the application (though it's still a possibility, just less likely). For plugin developers, I've just wrapped all plugin calls in a try catch block. Plugin exceptions will now be written out to the debug log only.
  20. Launchbox next is now the default version of Launchbox and it will not be returning to the old version. Plugins will need to be updated to work correctly with the new UI.
  21. This depends on your image priorities setting in Launchbox, if you have 2D boxes checked under the 3D box priorities then they will be included here, its always been this way.
