Unzip the two folders to your Launchbox/LBThemes folder. Then go to tools/options/visuals and pick it from the dropdown, and restart Launchbox.
  2. When you change emulators for a platform you have to bulk edit the roms to use the different emulator. Click on a MAME game then ctrl A to highlight them all, then right click one and go to edit, this will open the bulk edit wizard. Click next then in the dropdown choose emulator, then the second dropdown that spawns the emulator you want to change to, finish out the wizard and launch a game.
  3. Well thats good to know. Yeah that was my original suspicion, here. Try the version of MAME for your 0.078 romset from here, it should work, but obviously will not have a lot of the features that have been added in the last 15 years. https://www.mamedev.org/oldrel.html
  4. So just to confirm your emulators look like this, Because that what i have and everything shows just fine.
  5. Then the only thing i can suggest at this point is to re-import. It will only take a couple of minutes, run the importer again, leave the download metadata from the database section checked, but UNCHECK all of the image/video downloads as you already have it all and it will re-attach to your roms. The import should just take a minute or two.
  6. This is a old thread and we now have a section on the website for license retrieval. https://www.launchbox-app.com/premium/lost-license
  7. You should only import the .cue into launchbox that is why you had 2 of everything, as they are different file extensions Launchbox thinks they are different games, all Launchbox needs is the .cue as that has the details for the associated .bin file in it.
  8. Have you set Arcade as a associated platform for your MAME emulator entry in the manage emulator section in the tools menu? Also can you go to the view dropdown at the top and check the box to show broken games.
  9. Hmm im really not sure what is going on there then, the fact that it took so long to import leads me to believe that it imported everything and grabbed all the relevant images/videos, and the fact that you now have a Arcade platform category also leads me to believe everything imported fine. so why it is not showing any games at all is a bit of a mystery, i assume your other platforms show just fine? And if you click on the Arcade platform category does it technically switch to it but just with no images shown.
  10. Also what did you name the platform, did you leave it at the default Arcade? and what are you sorting the left sidebar by? If you change it to platform category for example do you get a Arcade category?
  11. This is possibly down top the romset you have, 0.78 is very old, as it says in the name 2003, so its a 15 year old set. The MAME importer in Launchbox is using the current data (0.201) to get rom names, it is likely that the naming convention gor MAME has changed since 2003. That would be my only guess as to why it would not import anything at all, it simply cant find any of the games. Also to add you shouldnt be using the latest version of the MAME emulator, your romset is 0.078 so you should be using the 0.078 version of the MAME emulator to go with it, this is why MAME is numbered as they are designed to work together. Games in MAME may break or made to work from one version to the next. But as i said my suspicion is the naming scheme changed at some point between 0.078 and the current 0.201.
  12. lol, i have absolutely no idea there, im a total dumbass when it comes to such things. I only originally mentioned it as it doesnt happen in the default theme, so thought there might of been a single line of code in the sidebar .xaml with a typo or something that isnt there in the default theme code.
  13. Sorry to bother you with this @Grila, i just thought that maybe it would be a quick fix, it really doesnt matter. It goes away again when i close the plugin dialogue, so its only there when im actually using the plugin,(so therefore am not needing to get at the other platforms at that time anyway) so it really isn't that big of a deal.
  14. In Launchbox go to tools/manage emulators, double click your MAME entry, and then click on the associated platforms tab, like this. Then go to the empty cell there and double click it, enter the name of your platform, and the command line that was given to you above, so it would look like this.
  15. lol, stupid Neil, always breaking things.
  16. Hi @Grila, im still loving this theme so thanks again. However i have just encountered a strange little issue and it seems to be related to your theme somehow. I am currently testing a as yet unreleased plugin on my system, and i have a strange thing happen with it when using your theme, the plugin pops a white dialogue box in the center of the screen, and when it does this my platform list in the sidebar turns white and i cant see the platform names except for the highlighted platform. If i switch back to the default theme this doesnt happen, just in your plex theme. It's certainly no deal breaker and i will continue to use the theme, but thought i would point it out in case its a nice easy edit to fix it. Here is a shot of what i am seeing, thanks again.
  17. Yes, and that is normal. Doing what i said here will change the emulator for all your spectrum games in one go.
  18. Well there are 2 questions here, when you say MAME is missing thousands of games what exactly do you mean? Did you import a fullset using the new fullset importer? and did you leave all the filter box's checked? I imported a full non-merged set and left the default filters on and i have 2760 MAME games imported, which is correct. As i am sure you are aware there are thousonds of MAME games that dont work so importing them is pointless in my opinion. As for the N64 question, it doesnt matter if a game is in our database or not, it will still import. If you are getting a "0 games were imported" message after importing that is because that game is already imported, it may be under a different name if the US and Japan name were different.
  19. You will need a specific "No Nag" version of MAME to get rid of those screens.
  20. Yeah there is no real way to know what your romset is. Your best bet would be to hunt down a romset that you know the version of, then grab the matching version of the emulator for it. The roms change over time so what used to work in a older MAME might not work in the current ones and vice versa.
  21. No, my mame romset is 0.201 and my mame emulator is also 0.201 so all the games that are supposed to work do. Of course there are thousands that dont work in any version of the emulator, but as long as your romset version matches the mame emulator version then all the games that are supposed to work will.
  22. lol, yep that will do it. Well glad that one is solved.
  23. Yeah i personaly had control issues when i tried it also, thats why i dont and just stick to regular MAME.
  24. You have never been able to choose a emulator from the sidebar, im not quite sure what you are talking about here. Here is how mine looks normally, i only changed it in that image above to demonstrate to you what may be happening on your system. But as i said above a image would help me understand this a lot better than you trying to explain it to me, so if you dont mind.
