    Retroarch

You don't "save configuration" for the per core controls, in the quick menu/controls for the core is also a "save core remap" option, that is what you should be using for per core controls. See here,
  2. It will be in the nvidia control panel under change resolution, there will be a little dropdown for refresh rate.

    Retroarch

I think that is normal, it will have slightly different names depending on the core in use. For example if you are in the genesis gx core you can cycle through retro pad, 3 button and 6 button pads. So i think the label retro pad is just a default name for the standard controller for the selected system. So long story short, you should set your controls under the retro pad.
  4. I have a i5 3570k 16gb ram and a 1060, i upped the internal resolution to 16X and it runs just fine.
  5. You need to add the "hw" to the command line, so mednafen_psx_hw_libretro.dll.
  6. Cause if Launchbox 1.6.3 just came out i'm living in the future as i'm on 7.10.
  7. You mean Retroarch right?

    Retroarch

There are two way's to save controller bindings in retroarch, the first is in the main UI under Input where you can also adjust hotkeys, it sounds like you used this method. For this method you need to be in Retroarch without a core or game loaded, and once you have finished you go back to the first part of the menu and save current configuration. See first two screenshots. The way to save per core controller configs is to to load a game with the core you want to change the controls for and enter the quick menu then controls, change the controls to how you want them, then in the same menu is a "save core remap" option, just select that when you are done and it will save the controls for just that core and auto load them when you next launch that core. See screenshots 3 and 4. Hope that helps.
  9. Megadrive, cough .....
  10. OK, and the other 2 links are clear logos and banners, so go to Launchbox/themes/CityHunter/images/ and there will be a clear logo and a banner folder, just copy and paste into them.
  11. Hi, there are several issues to unpack here so let's start at the beginning. CityHunter 1.8.1 Akira Neo Tokyo Cyber Punk 2077 Eva 01 Flash Back 2012 Grids You only need one of those video's, it is the video that play's behind most views, if you want one of those over the default then just rename it to Background and copy paste it into Launchbox/Themes/CityHunter/Videos.
  12. Your retroarch associated platform entry is set to snes9x, is that the actual core you are using in retroarch?
  13. So hopefully that makes that view better, and not more cpu/gpu intensive, i trust vlansix until i see otherwise.
  14. I can't and won't speculate on timelines, (mostly cause i don't know) But @Jason Carr has openly said that @Vlansix is working on a 3D engine for Launchbox/Bigbox, that should actually make those views much smoother to navigate.
  15. I did have launchbox and all the images and platform videos on my ssd, with all the videos and roms on a external. I just moved everything to the external a couple of days ago, with no change to performance, unless the drive is actually asleep, (mines a usb drive) so may take a few seconds to wake up if it's asleep. Apart from that no different to having it on the ssd.
  16. That's some great specs. The Coverflow issue is a known problem, hopefully fixed soon

Retropie is pre-configured to know the exact hardware of the device, in this case a raspberry pi, so actually uses really shitty retroarch cores as a result of the standard way it works. Yes it makes setup easy, but uses really bad cores compared to anything on the PC side. Retroarch is actually quite straight forward and simple to use these day's, if you have any queries and questions fire away, that's why we are here.
Awesome, thanks for the playlist @Charco.
  19. Well, to be honest we really don't know where this particular issue resided. It could of been user error, it could just of easily been a bug. I will say that personally, i only had to reinstall on top of my current install back when i found the program and was messing with stuff a lot. It's not the recommended solution at all, but if it works, and the user is happy then so be it.
  20. I don't want to step on @DOS76 toes here so ill be careful, but yeah you can always install launchbox on top of it's self, because technically it's not installed to your system, just a folder.
