  1. Also MAME only uses the CPU, and yours is a Laptop chip at only 2.4Ghz that's actually quite slow when compared to a desktop CPU that these days are likely to be around 4Ghz at least, so that could also be a issue when trying to run multiple simultaneous programs.
  2. If all your backups are also corrupted then you can simply close Launchbox and delete the settings.xml, this however, will unfortunately put your Launchbox back to default settings, so you may need to adjust some settings again.
  3. Yeah as stated Launchbox will run pretty much any file type as long as there is a program that will run said files from a command line interface, be aware though that our database is only for games, so you will have pretty bare "systems" when importing non game files, i.e. no metadata or images at all unless manually sourced and added yourself.
  4. Just a suggestion to look at, but do you have your HDD's set to power down to save power when not in use? Just wondering as you say it happens if Launchbox has been open a while, maybe your HDD has parked and needs to spin up again, causing the delay.
  5. MAME doesnt emulate those systems correctly, or in a lot of those games cases at all. So we do not import them by default as they are marked by mame itself as "Non Working Games".
  6. Where are your roms stored, im guessing as you didnt have the emulator unzipped that they are not in the mame/roms folder, so in that case you have to tell the emulator the location of your rom folder. You can either do that in the mame UI buy just starting the mame.exe, or directly in the mame.ini file located in the mame emulator folder.
  7. You havent unzipped the emulator.
  8. Also i should add that your romset type has zero impact on how the games are imported, we do not physically import the files, we get the working games list, as well as the file names from those games directly from the mame.exe, we dont actually look at your rom files at all when using the mame fullset import wizard.
  9. I'm not sure why that has happened but it's like that for me also. You can highlight both games, right click one and choose the combine option to fix it though.
  10. Yup, you can also just type *.gdi into your explorer window for your Dreamcast rom folder, and then just drag and drop the results onto the Launchbox window. Glad you are sorted though.
  11. Also i will add a second issue with your files, they are badly named the version info like v1.000 should be in brackets like this (v1.000), the way your files are named means that it is highly likely that metadata and images will not be scraped for your Dreamcast games.
  12. You have some real weird file types there, but in essence in your images of the ones that dont launch you only want to import the .gdi file, my guess is you just threw the folders at Launchbox and just expected it to know the correct file to launch, but thats not how it works. So for the games that dont launch you will want to edit them to point to the correct file, or just delete them all and re-import, this time with the correct files.
  13. Ill also add here, a 2016 MAME romet will have completely different neogeo bios as well as a completely different qsound file for all Capcom games, so if your romset is not matching your specific emulator there could be a ton of issues here. Also a 2016 romset is possibly from before when they started allowing the dinput commandline we use by default when importing mame, so that may also be breaking things. Any reason why you just havent got the brand new current set, and instead downloaded a troublesome amalgamation one that isnt officially from MAME themselves?
  14. That page no longer exists, hence the error you see. If I recall the uploader removed it themselves, so I wouldn't expect a re-upload I'm afraid.

    MAME titles

You want this specific option selected.

    MAME titles

Yeah, definitely sounds like you didnt import a full romset using that specific importer, correct?

There is a option when just importing files and not using the fullset importer to "import games using mame metadata" or similar, you need that checked in the import wizard.
  18. And i'm sure it will be, but it is the holidays, so a little patience may be required.
  19. Redream does not support Naomi games. As for the original post, the error is clearly your bios, either it is missing completely, or you are missing specific files within it. If you load the core in Retroarch and head to the information section it will tell you what bios are required, and if it see's them or not. You need the naomi.zip bios, i would guess the most recent one from the current MAME romset is the one the core would want, so even if you have bios it may be old and out of date, This is the contents of the naomi.zip from the 0.236 MAME romset, which is the newest set i have.
  20. The names have to EXACTLY match, yours do not. In the below image i renamed my rom to match what the Retro Achievements call it, and i have Achievements in Launchbox.
  21. Can i ask what Launchbox versions you are both using? Amazon/Twitch did change something recently that meant new games were not detected, but that was fixed in a previous Launchbox version, at least for me and the other person who noticed games missing.
  22. Fixed this on Discord. For those wondering Retroarch was set to extract roms in Launchbox, which will break loading it in MAME, as they need to remain zipped if from the actual MAME romset.
  23. Have a look at the "View" dropdown at the top of the window and check that you are not hiding games missing certain types of media.
  24. Click a game in that system, then CTRL-A to highlight them all, then head to tools/File Management/Change Rom Path For Selected Games, and point it to the correct folder.
