    228 merged roms

How big is your merged roms folder?
  2. Also if you right click a game and select "Open Retroarch" does it open?
  3. Those are both correct and you have the core as Launchbox doesnt list it as missing, so the only thing i can think of is that your systems name doesnt match what the system is called in your image.
  4. OK, i see several mistakes here. First, just call the emulator Retroarch, this will give you some extra options, namely the "Associated Platform" tab for it is different and is also somewhat pre-populated. In your first image you have the load core command in the command-line section, that is not needed if the emulator is named Retroarch like i said, and it also means that your second image is different and lacking options, also you have partial core names there, that is likely completely breaking the process. So, with that said, delete that emulator entry, and add a new one, this time call it Retroarch, point to the exe and dont change any other options or add any commands. Once that is done go to the "Associated Platforms" tab, you will now see it looks different to your image, as it is already pre-populated with the most common systems and the our "recommended" cores for them (both system name and the core used can be freely changed). As you can see GBA is a pre-populated system and is set to use the vba_next core, so to change that to mgba core simply double click the core that is listed, this will open a dropdown where you can pick from a list of cores (this list is actually the cores you actually have downloaded as we scan the core folder, so if a core you downloaded isnt showing restarting Launchbox should cause it to populate). OK out of the window and games should now load, just repeat the "Associated Platform" tab part for any other systems using Retroarch. I should also note the system names in that tab, need to exactly match what you called the platform when imported. For example if you called the platform "SNES" then Retroarch wont load the games as it has that system listed as "Super Nintendo Entertainment System", so you would need to edit that name by double clicking the current entry and re-naming it to match. Hope that gets you up and running.
  5. No, that is not something we are interested in, that would just lead to people with cash to throw around to dictate the the future of Launchbox, and thats not a good idea. Best use our bitbucket, and either search for a similar request and upvote it, or if it doesnt exist create it yourself and vote on it, can also post the link here on the forums to try and drum up interest. New features and improvements are dictated by the userbase, either via the bitbucket or via the occasional community polls we run where users get to vote on new features and something like the top twenty most voted are what is worked on, and we are currently still implementing features from the last poll from 2019, which you can look at here.
  6. Correct, the games are "imported" into Launchbox as long as the rom is marked as working, again though Launchbox isnt technically importing anything at all, it doesnt look at the actual files you have in the folder you specified, it does this for all other systems, but MAME is different. As of version 11.9 the MAME importer was updated and Launchbox now gets the working game list directly from the MAME.exe itself (much like you did with the CHD list, you can generate lists from MAME via command line without even opening the emulator, and this is what Launchbox now does). Correct, it will add the rom to your list in Launchbox, it doesnt care if it has a CHD or not, just that the rom works, if a rom does need a CHD MAME itself handles loading of that.
  7. Yes that will certainly stop themes from being read, glad you figured it out.
  8. No, Launchbox is a portable app, it doesnt really install as such it just extracts all its needed files to the location you specified in the installer. Nothing is added to the registry either, and you can freely move it between drives, and even other PC's assuming they have the prerequisites like ,NET core and directx, etc installed.
  9. Its certainly going to be something specific to your systems im afraid. I am on a RTX 2080 super and a 3700X and 32GB of 3000 DDR4 ram, also installed to a SSD. Going into and out of menu's in Bigbox is instantaneous, and startup time is less than ten seconds with around 11,000 games in my setup. Id try closing all programs, and as many background tasks as you can and test again, if its much better we can determine if another app is interfering and causing issues.
  10. The only thing i can think of is that you are currently using a view that the theme you are switching to hasnt themed, so it looks the same as the theme you switched from. Apart from that i couldnt say what the issue is, i certainly have never heard this issue happening to anyone else before though.
  11. That is how it works, if it's not for you then you have something very strange going on.
  12. Things get lost far more easily here on the forums. BitBucket is a dedicated service for this purpose.

    ERROR

Unfortunately this means you were using a pirated copy of Launcbox. You can fix this by buying a legitamate license and replacing your pirated one. https://www.launchbox-app.com/premium
  14. No there isnt, emulators change all the time, settings that are needed now may not even be present in the future, also most systems are so simple to import its really not needed, just import the roms files, point Launchbox at a emulator .exe and thats it for most systems.
  15. If you cant get a single game to load out of thousands and several systems then you have made a major error somewhere along the line of importing to Launchbox. If you are using Retroarch for most systems please supply images of the emulator settings for that from Tools/Manage Emulators/Retroarch, as well as the Associated Platform tab in that same window. Also a list of systems you imported and what you named them would be really helpful. And finally right click a game and go to edit, then the launching tab, and take a image of that also. Thanks.
  16. Only a few logos are included with the program, its up to you to source your own if you need more. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/category/14-platform-clear-logos/
  17. I dont know that many people use this outdated emulator and mount solution anymore, it seems so archaic when you can just load games directly if the mednafen core of Retroarch.
  18. Most emulators exit with the Escape key, this is what Launchbox sends when you set a exit combo in the controller mappings section of Launchbox/Bigbox. As for Windows games you never want to exit like that, there is a reason consoles and PC games tell you not to turn them off when they are saving or loading data, you risk corruption, just exit via the games own menu.
  19. 50hz is your issue, it needs to be 60hz as thats what games run at. That is why i asked and mentioned it in my original reply, you are running all your games to slow, and that causes audio sync issues.
  20. Thats not what i said. As i did say, Launchbox does nothing with the CHD files, it doesnt know of or care about them, they are for the most part not working as they also need the matching rom file to work (with a handful of exceptions). All loading and rom paths is handled by the MAME emulator itself, launchbox doesnt need to or do anything at all with the CHD's. If you leave the MAME fullset import wizard on default settings it will import around 2800 games, all of which will work as long as you also have the CHDs and your rom paths in the MAME emulator are correct. All Launchbox needs is the games shortname. For example here is the zip for 1941, all Launchbox does is tell MAME to load 1941, it doesnt even pass the actual file, it just tells MAME the name of the file to load, and as long as MAME knows your rom path it loads. Same with games with a CHD, Launchbox tells MAME the name, like Killer instinct for example, Launchbox will tell MAME to load kinst, and MAME will locate the rom in your rom folder, and then the CHD in your CHD folder, and load the game. So the export option in Launchbox will only export the actual rom files, not the CHD's as it knows nothing of them. And again like i said, i would not recommend even using this tool on a split or merged set, they share files, so a game may rely on a file in a zip that is in a non working game for example, and as that non working game wouldnt of been imported its not there to export, so the game that relied on that file cant use it and therefore breaks. You want a Non-Merged set for that, that is where each individual zip has every single file that the game needs to run, so they are self contained roms. This leads to much duplication, say all the Capcom games need the qsound file to run correctly, in a Non-Merged set every single Capcom game will have that file in it's zip, while with the other two types that file is only present once, in one game zip, and all the other games know to get that file from there. This is why split and merged sets are around 60-65GB and a Non-Merged is around 120GB, it contains thousands of duplicate files. Finally like i also said above, you can get a list of working CHD's from the mame.exe itself. Open mame and choose the custom filter at the bottom of the left list, then in the first filer choose "working", then add a second and choose "CHD Required", then a third and choose "Available, then "Return To Previous Menu". This will then show you a list of CHD's, like so. You can then double click the floppy disk icon top centre and choose to output that list in a type of your choice, if you wish.
  21. Stuttering or static audio is usually the sign of your PC not being able to emulate the system well enough for full speed emulation. Your CPU is decent enough though so that shouldnt be a issue, are you sure your monitor refresh rate is in fact set to 60 in Windows? As to Mupen that will use your GPU also, are you upscaling in any way, could be you increased it to much and your GPU isnt powerful enough for the res you set and is slowing down, causing the bad audio.
  22. No, nor will it be. Launchbox for Android was discontinued nearly a year ago now.
