  1. You know what, no I haven't I just spent the last two minutes shuffling back and forth, and so far, not a thing.
  2. In Launchbox. When it happens in Big Box it just crashes and shows no message.
  3. This is what I get: Version 7.5-beta-7 System.NullReferenceException: A referência de objecto não foi definida como uma instância de um objecto. I don't really get anything else If you have three games or more and switch between them fast enough, it happens.
  4. @Jason Carr, the reason I had said it might be related is because this issue occurs in LaunchBox as well, and only when Auto-Play Soundtrack is active. I've tried this a lot, and it always boils down to the same, switching from one game to another then another while playing music. It doesn't seem to happen otherwise. But I've decided to go another route, and I'll revisit this sometime in the next few days.
  5. I don't seem to be doing something right, because I can't seem to be able to import anything from my MAME folder. It doesn't generate my -listxml, for some reason, or it's not detecting my mame.exe. I really don't understand what's going on...
  6. I just noticed there's no way for me to mark a game as complete from within Big Box, is that in the plans?
  7. It'd be great to also have a Sega CD 32X, since a few games came out for that combo. Although I guess I could try to combine the 32X and the CD images.
  8. Not yet @Jason Carr! Sorry! This one didn't give me a proper stacktrace though... Version 7.5-beta-6 System.NullReferenceException I'll look more into it tomorrow.
  9. Variable change order?
  10. Really sorry to say, but it seems the issue persists, somehow... Got a NullReference error while testing this: Version 7.5-beta-5 System.NullReferenceException em (<>c ) em Unbroken.LaunchBox.Music.<>c.<Pause>b__66_0() em System.Threading.ExecutionContext.RunInternal(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state, Boolean preserveSyncCtx) em System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state, Boolean preserveSyncCtx) em System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state) em System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart() I really hoped you wouldn't have to keep looking into it. The GOOD thing is that finally I have something for you to be able to look at!
  11. I'm going to check and see and get back to you on this @Jason Carr. Thanks for your work!
  12. Hey @viking, I love these, but I have a small little gripe with one of the videos, for the WonderSwan you used a SwanCrystal, which is actually an update on the WonderSwan Color. It doesn't bother me much, but it does seem strange. Also, at the end of the video you show emulation on a few titles that are meant to be emulated vertically, like the Puzzle Bobble title. I know the amount of beautiful work you put in these, but it'd be great to see this video updated, if possible, to match the astounding quality!
  13. Well, this is my take on this: Attract mode works fine because once it selects a game, it scrolls directly to it, and doesn't actually register the games it's passing by for loading data (which makes complete sense in terms of performance). As noted, it seems that for a crash to occur you need to scroll two items: if you scroll to the second item while it's still trying to fetch the audio and video for the first item you'll probably get a crash. My system also only has one song per game, I recorded the title songs for the games. I'd like to point out that I've never had this issue with movies only, but I have so with audio only, and this bug occurs to me in Launchbox as well as in Big Box. My workaround to this is to edit the videos to carry the audio in them, since videos haven't ever given me grief, either with VLC or WMP.
  14. I'm not sure if there's a bug with VLC causing crashes, to be honest. I've been testing my setup with some consistency, and from the crashes I've been having I'd actually say my problems have been caused by automatic soundtrack playback. What happens is if I select a game and then quickly select another one just as the tune starts playing, LaunchBox or Big Box will crash, trying to access something that's not really there. Now, it might have to do with the audio codec or it might have to do with how LB starts audio playback, I'm not sure. What I'll try is a workaround, to use only the audio provided in the demo videos, or to do that manually, and try to see if my issue persists. Anyway, I'm not sure if the crashes talked about might be related to this, but in my personal case, it seems to be audio related. Unfortunately, the error doesn't provide me with a proper stack trace. @Jason Carr, do you intend to implement a logging system? I guess it could make troubleshooting easier.
  15. @shro2016 this looks incredible, I really like that button layout section, but it will require different layouts for other systems, do you plan to implement that? Great work, can't wait to try this out.
  16. Well, I'm currently waiting for Lightspeed (it's a MAME importer) to be updated to the new Launchbox version, since it allows importing by system. Other ways would have to involve Final Burn Alpha sets, since they don't use MAME files.
  17. Hey guys, I have a question. It seems to me that having game theme videos can be very resource intensive, and I personally like to have some details on the game page. But it would also be great to have like a character image show up on top of the layout, like in some of the game theme videos. Something like what's in the attachment. Can I use an image category, like the banner, on this?
  18. Well, it's not a button to go to a random game, but you have Attract Mode, which jumps from game to game randomly. It's a pretty great feature if you let your system sit for a minute or two.
  19. I always liked the separation by board type. It's as if you have several different consoles, and several different handhelds, and several different computers, you also have several different arcade boards. Things like Neo Geo, Capcom Play System, Cave, Sega Model. I understand it might be obtuse for people who might be unnaware of the differences, but if a good search function is implemented, I think they would learn more easily. It would also provide more appreciation for arcades, instead of merely lumping everything together. I think we agree that there are big differences between Capcom Play Systems, Neo Geo, Sega Model 3 or Taito X-2, to name a few.
  20. @DOS76, I'll try that once I get home. I've been reading about 32X emulation in the meanwhile, and it seems only Kega Fusion manages a decent enough emulation, as per what I'm reading. I have a rather beefy pc, so I'm going to try with PicoDrive and see how it goes.
  21. Good to know DOS76! Since it's just for 5, 6 games, it won't (hopefully) be too much of a hassle besides adding arguments to the emulation.
  22. Ok, so I have a doubt. I know I can separate between Sega 32x, Sega CD and Sega CD 32x. However, @reignstumble's console artwork pack doesn't include a Sega CD 32x, and also, the amount of games on that combo platform is extremely reduced. So, considering I have both a Sega 32x and Sega CD, where do you consider I should place the Sega CD 32x games? I'm inclined toward Sega CD due to the disk format, but I'd like some opinions.
  23. Ok, I see. Still, no worries then. A lot of features have been rolling out, it's been great. Thank you for the assistance!
  24. Sorry to bother, but I have another question. In the game view I have up above (WheelGamesView), I was trying to change the image type to make it work with the cover flip to change between only the Front and Back view. How would I got about that? What should I add to the file?
