Hi @Retrofrogg. I haven't been able to duplicate this on my end. Does this happen every time you are scrolling through LaunchBox, or is it more random? Also: Do you have videos set to auto-play? Are your options set to use VLC or WMP?
-
Hi @pocket. While I've never used MAME 2003 core, you made me curious to do some research on it. Looks like it requires the 0.78 MAME ROM set. So, I got one and went through the process of importing it all and getting it ready. I didn't run into any "Audio sample not found" warnings though. Which process did you use to import your ROMs into LaunchBox and which games are you seeing that warning?

I see. It's quite possible it's a webm videos compatibility issue with the new flowvideo control, although I don't have any videos to test with. LaunchBox has it's own bundled VLC player, and therefore it doesn't use any VLC players you have installed on your computer. So, that would be why updating your VLC player wouldn't have worked.

Hi @soqueroeu, the real goal is to spread the power around, so anyone can load up the COMMUNITY Theme Creator and make any changes they would want. However, if you are wanting a change to any of the themes, let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate, either in an update, or a specific version for you.

Hi @mavisbeacon. First, thanks for teaching me typing. I've tried to reproduce the issue you've been having but have been unable to. Whether I'm using VLC or WMP, the theme seems to act normally on my system. Definitely wondering what's happening with your system. I did do a fresh publish of the theme out of the COMMUNITY Theme Creator and posted it just now, just in case it may have some fixes since the last time I did that. I doubt it will fix your issue, but worth a shot.

Hi @Tanooki_Style. LaunchBox does need that version of .NET core. Are you able to confirm whether you downloaded and installed the .NET Desktop Runtime 3.1.18 (middle one on the right, x64 version more than likely). https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet/3.1

Hi @cheguewara. There's currently no way to exclude directories or only tell it to look for a particular set of names. This is because LaunchBox allows you to basically add anything you want into it. You do have the option to select only the files you want to import and then drag and drop them into LaunchBox. I'd definitely recommend to keep your files and folders all organized, it definitely goes a long way. If you end up with more than 1 image per image type, LaunchBox will keep all of them and append a number to the end of each file [game-name]-01, [game-name]-02.. etc.

Hi @dmaker. Try this: On any platform view, hold down on a platform until the context menu appears. Delete should be one of the options.

It's definitely in the works, unsure of an ETA at this point, as I only have the revamped text view (mostly) done. On another note, the more people I can get testing the COMMUNITY Theme Creator version of Colorful, the better: Much appreciated for anyone willing to test, as it will eventually replace the version of Colorful on the forums and within Big Box.

Hi @bikeking8. From what Retro808 said earlier in this thread, best thing to do is to set a Switch View hotkey. Then you can change views on the fly.

Critical Zone Theme Showing Wrong Images in View
faeran replied to PiperCalls's topic in Troubleshooting
It's always been this way. It really depends on how the theme creator built their Big Box theme. There is a Big Box element that a theme creator can use that's called something like "main image", which uses the image that you set in LaunchBox. It also controls things like flipping the box image. -
ModernX - [Theme Workshop] View File ModernX was built during a Theme Workshop live stream. If you are interested in creating themes, subscribe to the Unbroken Software YouTube channel. ModernX I stumbled upon an image of a store page for an Xbox Series X. This is my take on what I saw in the image. The theme and the COMMUNITY Theme Creator project files can be downloaded here. Notes: This theme is a hybrid of using the COMMUNITY Theme Creator and editing code to add the new coverFlow FlowControl. Because of this, the project files will not contain the new flow control. If you would like to edit the project files and publish the theme, you will then have to manually add the flow control code back into the platform and wall view. Those can both be found in the theme files. Watch this theme being built: Watch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1K81ykCfKPU Credits COMMUNITY Theme Creator by @y2guru. Critical Zone Theme Showing Wrong Images in View
faeran replied to PiperCalls's topic in Troubleshooting
Hi @PiperCalls. One reason this may be happening is your image group settings in LaunchBox. Go into LaunchBox, check the 3 platforms and see if you have the image groups set to clear logos. Change them to 3D Boxes and see if you get the desired result. -
Thanks @Fry for the report. This is something we have on our list to take a close hard look at

You made me curious enough to check. It's actually the opposite. To make it so that the wall view will use that space at the beginning of its list, you have to add a number to that. Every number will raise the wall view by the size of 1 row. By default I already have in there NavigationRows="1", which will start the wall view off at the top of the page. However, this particular view has a lot of per-theme variations, which you can find in the \\The POC\Views\WallGamesView\ folder. In your example image, you'll need to open the Nintendo Switch.xaml file and make that number a "1". You may find out why I chose to leave it a "0", as there doesn't appear to be enough space for another row of boxes up there. It will get chopped off.
-
If I remember correctly, you'll want to open up the WallGamesView.xaml and change this value to a 0. NavigationRows="1"
