  1. The COMMUNITY Theme Creator Project files have now been released for this theme. These files should only be used with version 2.0+ of the COMMUNITY Theme Creator, which can be found here: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/2115-community-theme-creator-for-bigbox/
  2. Hi @drewjbx, There's currently no way to control when a platform video starts playing, or volume control changes on bootup. A theme could be created that delays the video to start after a few seconds, but that's up to a theme developer to create. Feel free to use the Request a Feature link, in the Help & Support menu above.
  3. Thanks everyone for helping test this beta. Beta 2 is now out with the following fixes: Fixed - Correcting errors related to opening LaunchBox right after closing it Fixed - Corrected various null reference exceptions (introduced in 11.16 beta 1) Fixed - Correcting issue that caused several new lines to be added to strings (namely notes) with multiple returns in a row We recommend that you restore your data folder from a backup in order to remove the extra lines that were added to your notes. Please continue to report any beta related issues you may see.
  4. Hi @ALIE, I'd recommend sending another email to support@unbrokensoftware.com
  5. Everyone that sent an email into support should now have received a response back.
  6. I haven't watched the video you were watching, but maybe the person was pressing the "Add" button that's located on the Buttons Bar at the bottom of LaunchBox? You could also right click the main area and press "Add" as well. Out of curiosity, which video were you watching?
  7. 11.16 Beta has been released:
  8. 11.16 Beta 1 is now out with the following changes: Improvement: Updated how LaunchBox and Big Box load XML files on startup, should result in faster load times Fixed: Some Platform image path bindings were failing in StartupThemes Fixed: Added logic to help with EmuMovies session refresh with large image queues We recommend backing up your Data folder before updating to this beta. Please report any oddities you see in this thread that you feel may be related to the above changes. Thank you for your help beta testing.
  9. Hi @Hollingsbee. There is a current issue when importing thousands of games at a time while scraping media from emumovies due to a 15 minute timeout issue with their api. We do have a potential fix coming in the next beta. I'd recommend importing your mame set without downloading media. Then download media afterwards in smaller chunks.
  10. Hi @MetaRidley42 I've never tried it, so someone may correct me, but I believe it should be as simple as: In LaunchBox make sure all discs are combined into one game. In LaunchBox make sure you enable "Use M3U Playlists for Multiple Discs" - this can be found in Manage Emulators > Dolphin > Associated Platforms In Dolphin, enable "Change Discs Automatically"
  11. It doesn't yet, but it will in the future. For now you could always design it in the editor, and manually add the new wall view code into the published xaml. Reach out if you need any help.
  12. Yup, @C-Beats is also correct. Using the built-in security of Big Box would allow you to lock out the add to playlist option, and so much more. It's basically our version of a parental control/kiosk mode.
  13. This is not currently possible in the way you are saying, just because of the fundamental way Big Box views work. However, you could potentially fake it and make 1 view look like 2 different views. There's limitations to this, so it all depends on what exactly you want the 2 views to look like.
  14. I don't remember how this theme reacts, but theme creators only have 2 options here. We can just have it keep aspect ratio, causing black bars to appear to the left and right. We can stretch the game play video to fit a space. Technically there are other creative things you can do that would be extremely more custom to a particular setup, like special views for different aspect ratios for platforms or playlists (there are a ton of different aspect ratios). This theme doesn't have any of that though.
  15. What @Inquisitor said is true. This is just a Big Box theme for selecting your game, and not an actual bezel for your emulators.
  16. Hi @HisokaRyodan. This is definitely possible, and like you are finding out, there's a lot of ways you can accomplish this. If I were doing this, I'd probably create a category inside of Sony PlayStation, and then a playlist inside of there. So the structure would be something like: Sony PlayStation (platform) Japan (Category) RPGs (Playlist) Things to note: You can have a Unique Name, a Nested Name, and a Sort Title. For my RPGs playlist, I'd probably do something like, Unique Name: PS1 - Japan - RPGs, Nested Name: RPGs, Sort Title: RPGs. The Unique Name can't match any other playlist, The Nested Name is what gets displayed in LaunchBox, and the Sort Title is used to sort the list the way you want. I would set up the playlist to auto-populate. It would use the following variables: Platform - Is Equal To - Sony PlayStation Region - Contains - Japan Genre - Contains - Role-Playing You can add custom playlist/category images (and a video) within the Edit Playlist/Category window (in LaunchBox, right click your playlist or category and choose Edit). These will be used in Big Box.
  17. Hi @keithhov. Are you using the default theme or another theme?
  18. Hi @drewjbx, This is actually possible using auto-populate playlist. You just need to create a new playlist, click on the Auto-Populate tab, and add: Favorite - Is True If you do it this way, any game that you flag/unflag as a favorite will get added/removed to this playlist automatically. Couple extra things to note in the Edit Playlist window: Using the Parents tab, allows you to put that playlist anywhere in your platform category hiearchy Using the Sort Title field in the Details tab allows you to position the playlist in your list without needing to add an underscore, like I see you did. There's no current way to hide a playlist the way you are wanting. Feel free to make a request in the Request a Feature link in the Help & Support menu above. However, any auto-populate playlists won't show up in the menu in your screenshot, so that would definitely help you out.
  19. Hi @floodie. Looks like in this thread some people were having good luck adding an AHK script to their emulator's Exit AutoHotkey Script section. You can always give it a try.

    loading screen?

Hi @d8thstar. LaunchBox does have a loading bar for games needing to extract from an archive. This is built into the Startup screen. You can see here a video demonstration using the default startup theme. https://streamable.com/hql83f
  21. Hi @wemr97dl. Another option is to create your own Laser Disc category, and then add each Laser Disc platform into it.
  22. That's cool. Would be interested to know how you like them over a period of time.

    RetroFresh

Hi @Danmage. At this point, I would say the issue is with the theme itself, as it's definitely getting long in the tooth. I can attempt to recreate it, which should solve whatever issues you are seeing with it. I'll add that to my list to do, but may take some time.
  24. Hi @Soulchip. While I never used a Logitech G25 wheel before, your first step in troubleshooting should be to go into your Windows Controller properties and test that all buttons of your wheel are being registered by Windows. Here's some general steps on how to test your controller that I found on microsoft: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-troubleshoot-game-controllers-in-microsoft-games-ee731224-b2d7-f25e-3c2a-338b27dbe1f5 Here's a short video of someone testing out their controller on Win 7: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRh8M5M03Ao Once you confirm that your button presses are getting registered in Windows, we can then narrow down the cause of why Big Box is not registering them.
