  1. I can tell you I have had random issues with some of the EasyGet controllers. I stopped using them. In one of my last cabinet builds I used the EasyGet in every so many select button hits it calls the select button twice. So if I hit select to enter into a platform I will end up on the Game Details screen of the first game. I had that USB controller for over a year and about 4 months in that started happening. Swapped it out for a new one and it went away. I tried the board that was having the issue in another cabinet and the issue occurred. So it was the board. I have had 4 show odd behaviors like this. Not saying this is what is happening to you, but if there is any way you can get another USB controller board or try the one you have in another pc it would be a good troubleshoot to confirm.
  2. LB tutorial video on Teknoparrot? I do not recall seeing LB did a video on Tekno. Exclusive fullscreen might be the issue. I tested VT4 and Pause works. However, I have not altered any video settings other than to uncheck "General - Windowed" option in the Game Settings for VT4 in TeknoParrot UI. This runs the game in fullscreen, but it is considered borderless fullscreen. Not Exclusive Fullscreen.
  3. Not sure about anything being in the works as Pause is in place. It has been advised it may not function well with some emulators and games. So far I have not had any problems with Pause working with my TeknoParrot games. A few games I get the odd aspect ratio image, but it still functions. Are you running the games directly in TeknoParrot or using any of the loaders sometimes associated?
  4. Please do not bump feature requests. All feature requests should be submitted to our BitBucket site. At the top of the forum under "Help & Support" you will find the link to request a feature.
  5. I could not say. Works fine for me and I just tested on several setups. Especially since Arcade is the main reason I use it. Safe to assume your platform is actually called “Arcade”? What version LB are you on? The causes would normally be misnamed file, misnamed folder, or folder path incorrect to images. If all others work that we know it is not folder path. In your other post I just looked at it appears naming of files is right. You are using .jpg and not .png. So file type is not the issue.
  6. It is still there. BigBox Cinematics are only downloadable from within Launchbox UI (>Tools>Download Platform/Playlist Theme Videos)
  7. OK. So it is not what I thought. I have seen the builders make backups of the data xaml files and the platform xaml files and store them in these folders. Problem is LB will try to read both the original and the backup and cause conflicts. So in this case that is not your issue. Not sure what else to say. If this was a clean LB build we could dissect if easier. I will recommend this. Download a new LB installer from our site. Install it in a completely different folder. Copy and paste you license in the folder. Then just add 1 game and 1 platform (do not scrape the media) and test to see if those Image Priorities stick. If they do that should tell you for sure something is screwy in that other build.
  8. OK. Yeah one thing we rarely do is troubleshoot prebuilds. We have no way of knowing what the builder did and if you did not build it yourself any direction we can take you will likely lead to dead ends since you do not know what they did as well. I am taking a shot in the dark here, can you post pics of the inside of the following folders? I think I might know what is up. Maybe..... 1: \Launchbox\Data 2:\Launchbox\Data\Platforms If it is not what I think it is your than we really cannot do much more.
  9. The only way options would be locked is if it was a free version without a premium license. Where did you get the build?
  10. Well using the "X" definitely is not going to work. It will simply for the changes. Hitting "OK" is needed. Not sure why when you hit ok that it does not work. Try making the selection to just add Box-Front and the use the "move selected up" option to move it right under the 3D Box listing and then hit OK and see what happens.
  11. Are you clicking OK button to exit the edit window or hitting the X in the upper right?
  12. Yes. Why would you not just nest it inside E:\Launchbox so the UI update will work and you do not have to keep manually downloading and copying data over?
  13. That's your issue then. LB will always look to install to a \Launchbox folder. This would likely explain why the update from inside LB does not work as it is trying to find that \Launchbox folder.
  14. The best way to share images is just add them in the post. At the bottom of the text field is the area to add images (see first pic below). The issue is you have your platform view set to display 3D Boxes. This image in your second pic is a normal Box - Front Image. You would need to edit your image priorities to allow Box Image to show up in the absence of a 3D Box image. >Tools>Options - Media - 3D Box in this section you can choose all the image types you want as fallback when a 3D Box image is not there. You can move them up or down to place them in order of priority.
  15. Can you post a pic of where you are not seeing the images. Also for one of the games that is not showing specific images can you share a pic of the image it should be showing inside the \Launchbox\Images folder? If it downloaded the images and you see them in the correct folder a refresh of the cache should have worked. So it would be nice to see you set-up.
  16. The new install will not affect settings. It updates the exe and other components, but it does not overwrite any of the data xmls or settings xmls. The question though is why it is installing in a secondary LB folder. Are you manually installing a new version or doing it from within LB when it notifies there is an update?
  17. Try refreshing the image cache. In LB under Tools there is an option to refresh all images. In BigBox in the Images settings you will see a similar option.
  18. Right click and edit the Mame.Ini file. Scroll to the OSD Video options and in the video line what is it showing?
  19. Are you changing the rom path inside Mame directly? You said it will not update the rom path when you change directory from Tools, that is a LB UI element. You need to open Mame directly and change the path where Mame is looking.
  20. @xenotoca Yes it helped. We now see the issue. you type "Stga" and not "Sega". Many many times has a typo been the issue.
  21. No worries on the time difference/delays. OK just wanted to make sure there was some confusion on if you were importing Naomi or Sega Dreamcast. Since your Dreamcast games work in Retroarch with the FLycat core that means there is a disconnect in LB. Choose on of your Dreamcast games and right click, then edit. Show me 3 pics (Pics are the best way for us to spot anything at odds) 1: Pic of the Metadata tab 2: Pic of the Launching tab 3: Pic of the Emulation tab
  22. No one insulted you. You just came in here with such a sharp negative attitude towards LB and we simply offered countering statements. In fact we even offered help. I asked you to provide images we would need to see where the disconnect is and you provided some of what we needed and then proceeded to say if you had to do 1 and 2 to get games to run you would just stick with RA. Well, if you are not going to provide what we ask for to help you what good is that? Let's start from the beginning ok? 1: What platform are you importing exactly? Are you importing Sega Dreamcast or Sega Naomi?
  23. No. Still just as simple as it ever was. It has not changed how emulators are added, nor how games are. There have been a coupe minor tweaks, like no longer needing to type in the core for Retroarch. Outside of that much of how you add games and emulators remains the same. In fact the tutorial @neil9000 linked is close to two years old and is still relevant.
  24. From the looks of it I am going to say that you have the wrong platform name in the Associated Platforms tabs. Just below the last image I can see "Sega Dreamcast" peaking out and in the Associated Platforms tab you simply have "Dreamcast". The way you have the Platform named in LB has to match what you enter in the Associated Platforms tab.
  25. I am merging your threads since they are both about your problems getting Dreamcast games to launch. Please do not start separate threads with the same issues. We do not stress a lot of forum rules here. However, we do try to keep unnecessary duplicate posts to a minimum. See my response to your original post and we can help troubleshoot.
