  1. What version of Mame are you running? command line Mame (the one actually from the mame site) or MameUI? If the games run directly in Mame and not in Launchbox then you have something disconnected in your Launchbox set-up.
  2. What format are your PS1 game in? I see you have -loadbin command line so just want to confirm the format.
  3. In Launchbox go to Tools > Manage Emulators and edit the PSX emulator you have listed. I would recommend an emulator not so old. I think the last time this emulator was touched was 2003-2004. Eventually PCSX-R came from it. I would recommend ePSXe or the mednafen Retroarch core.
  4. If you are on 8.6-Beta 1 and trying to update you will need to open the updates folder and manually complete the last update listed. See Jason's [pst about the 4th one down in the beta thread.
  5. Did you update you Arcade game metadata, if not you need to do this to be able to use the new Mame importer data. Alsoo you have all those games actually imported into Launchbox in an Arcade platform? The playlist only pulls the games from the Arcade platform. It does not actually create a platform for CSP1, CPS2, etc...
  6. Look for it to be minimized on your screen somewhere and if you can find it double click to open it. I have had it recently open like in the image. took me a while on my 2 monitor set up to find it as it was partially shown between the two monitors. Even in this state clicking the task bar item would not bring it full screen I had to click on it in the screen. The image is a snip of the corner of the screen so it looks big, but is actually barely noticeable on the full monitor.
  7. The script is wrong. The "&" at the start. That would used if you are using a 2 button combo. Like CDBLue mentioned in his post. That is why it would never work. What buttons do you try to use to close? Or what buttons do you want to use?
  8. The side buttons furthest back on either side are mouse buttons and would not work. Those also cannot be changed in the Xarcade programming either. They are pretty much stuck as mouse buttons. So you would have to use another option or use a button combo. I use Right Pinball Button (4) and P2 Start (2). For emulators like Mame and REtroarch just set the exit button combo you want directly in them. For others that you may have issues with try one of the AHK codes in this post. In Lordmonkus first post try the code he has listed as "Universal close emulator". Also the second post I gave one I use as well. It is a code for the combo above I mentioned.
  9. Launch a game with the CPS core you are using and then hit F1 to go into the menu. Scroll to the Gear Icon and choose inputs option. Set the controls for User 1 and User 2. You can then go to Quick Menu and choose "save core override" and then anytime you launch a game with that core it will use those controls.
  10. I do not believe anything in Next should have changed to affect AHK. Tested all mine and they work fine. Tested on stable and betas. @yorketto That AHK looks like it may have a typo. Is it supposed to be a button combo command? Like Joy6&Joy7? That "&" is why I am asking. @launcherbox Can you give a specific example and the AHK you are using?
  11. Statup videos are no longer done this way. You no longer need to name it startup and place in the main vidoe folder. Now you simply add a folder called startup and drop any video you want in it with any name. The video will run full length. You can also drop several video in and it will randomize on satrtup.
  12. Just select both games in Launchbox, right click, and choose "combine selected games". If you ever want to separate them just click the game and choose the option to separate.
  13. Roms can be pretty much anywhere you like as long as you go into MameUI > Directories and point to that folder. Not sure where you got that set (please do not post where per the rules) but you definitley got Mame set up and running at least 10 yard fight. Why so many are not showing available is odd to me. I would lean towards bad roms as well.
  14. File > Refresh Roms Well if 10 Yard Fight ran then your set-up is good. Refresh the roms and see what available looks like. A lot of those games in the one pic should be green if you have a full rom set and it is not junk.
  15. Go back to available. I see 10-yard fight is green in one of your pics. Try and run that game.
  16. Yes, just go back to Mame. Download it. Set the rom path to that newly named folder. Run the audit. Then share a few pics. 1. The folder you have MameUI in. 2. The folder you have the roms in with the new name. 3. In the MameUI after you set the rom path snap of pic of that screen in the MameUI showing the new rom path.
  17. Try changing that folder name of yours to something shorter and simply. Like Mame193. Since it is a subfolder of your roms folder you already know they are roms. I am not saying that is causing and issue, but I have had long or odd named folders cause issues before. Can you share a pic of the folder you have MameUI in. Like you did with the roms just a snap of files inside. Change that rom folder name and then go back into MameUI and set the rom path to that new name. Share a pic of the directories menu in Mame showing the new folder path.
  18. Do you have a full rom set or just a small collection of certain games you chose? Can you share a pic of the folder the roms are in? Just a snap of some of the rom files in the folder. Just grasping at straws here. Mame itself is pretty easy to get working if you have good roms and do a few things to setup Mame. Retroarch is pretty easy as well, but might take maybe a couple extra steps. Xarcade stick right? Get it to work in what Retroarch or Mame?
  19. Nice. Glad it wasn't all the CTRL+Clicking that needed to be done.
  20. Did the crash give you any errors? In the menu did you double check the rom folder location is set properly?
  21. Something similar happened in another post with the import images looking good. The user was at a loss for the issue. After lots of troubleshooting what ended up fixing for him was deleting the line with the platform name and core than going to the bottom of the list an entering the data again from scratch. In this thread look on the second page a post from InsideSmoke. Now keep in mind another user tried this in a different post and it did not work for him. So give it a shot and let us know.
  22. Just right click an empty space in the folder and choose “create new” and then “zip”. Or just create a text file named like I said and when done change .txt to .zip and there you go. The 0kb zip file is to give you something to properly import into Launchbox. That was the whole original issue in this thread. Launchbox does not like the .chd file and you cannot point it to the folder. So import the fake zip file, Launchbox will scrape it and it will trick it into launching the chd file so to speak.
  23. I agree with DOS and Monkus. I would watch a few YT videos. Mame is pretty easy to set up. First set Mame up and get the CHD for gtfore running in Mame. Then once that is all done it is easy enough to import into Launhbox. Golden Tee Fore 5 and 6 are CHD only games. So you really only need the CHD and the iteagle.zip bios. Where you are going to store your roms do the following inside that particular folder. This needs to be the folder you have directed mame to look for roms in. 1. Place the iteagle.zip (the bios) file in that main roms folder (do not rename it, do not put it anywhere else) 2. In that main roms folder create a subfolder called gtfore05 3. In that gtfore05 folder place the Golden Tee Fore 5 chd file (it must be unzipped). 4. In the main roms folder create a 0KB zip file called gtfore05.zip (nothing needs to be inside it). This is what will make it eay to import into Launchbox and have it scrape the correct arcade data. Of course none of this will matter if you do not have Mame properly set-up.
  24. No. You have to import them into a platform first.
  25. Yeah that's a good bit. I do not know any faster way to bulk edit a metadata field.
