Should not be a path issue with the theme. Its coded using standard bindings. Just tested moving videos for a couple platforms (6 in total) to a custom folder and updating the path for videos in LB and theme works fine. I would double check the video path (Edit the platform in LB and make sure in the folders tab the video path is correct). Unsure why only this theme would be an issue.
-
Works fine here. If you are not using default folder locations did you update LB folder paths for each platform inside of LB?

Emuline is typically one of the better sites. The word "easy" and TP roms are not good buddies. LOL. Running games through TP is definitely not as bad as it used to be.
-
Delete the \LB folder. LB does not really install files that you need to run an uninstall for. It does install some MS dependancies if your machine does not have it, but that not needed to uninstall since it is Microsoft .Net

There was not an answer to your question about hiring because Jason did not reply so be patient with him as he is likely not up and working yet. I was simply providing context to your statement about delays and if you had actually specified Android I could have responded specifically to that. Android will continue to develop which is why Jason is hiring or maybe already has hired to have someone who can focus on that. So the new position should help bring more frequent updates.
-
The staff Jason was hiring for is web development and android development. Not sure what you mean by updates of LB has been recently delayed. LB updates for years have come pretty consistently with each year seeing easily 10-15 updates. This year we have 6 releases, so on par with number of releases all the prior years. If you take advantage of the $45 price for the lifetime you never have to worry about updates as you will always be able to get them.

An error occured...The system cant find file specified
Retro808 replied to HybridWes's topic in Troubleshooting
You have Launchbox embedded in a double \Launchbox folder. It should be \Launchbox You have it as \Launchbox\Launchbox Take everything in the \Launchbox\Lunchbox folder and cut and paste in one folder up. Into \Launchbox. -
support@unbrokensoftware.com is the correct avenue for license concerns. Give them at least 24-48 to respond.
-
Just drop a copy of your license into a build on another one of your own pc/laptops. Again "your own". Share it with a friend or others and it will get blacklisted.

No, LB does not make playlists based off a folder name. Honestly, I think this is the first I have seen a user post trying to do it this way. Most (not saying all do this, just most seem to) users typically have roms for a platform all in one folder and then let the software create the playlist based on metadata. Indeed they did. That is why you see LB can either create a bunch of predetermined child playlists for each system or the user can just manually create a playlist based on multiple requirements of choice. When you make a playlist just tick the box to make it an auto-populating playlist and set that parameters. If you are not checking the box to "Auto-Populate" the palylist you made you just create the playlist then save it. You then go into each platform (or go into all games) and select one or as many games as you want then bulk add them to that playlist. It is not done from within the create new playlist window.

Launchbox can make the M3U, but that is not the issue. The emulator has to support M3U format. I do not believe any of the stand-alone emulators for those system do.

In the Associated Platform tab do you have your Neo Geo platform listed there? Also does the name exactly match what you called it in LB? In other words...If you called it Neo Geo AES in LB but the Associated Platform for the emulator shows SNK Neo Geo AES it will not work. It needs to be exactly as you named it in LB. >If the above fixes your issue good. If not do what is listed below. Post the following pics so we can see you exact set-up. >Right click and edit a Neo Geo game that is not working 1. Post pic of the Details page 2. Post pic of the Emulation page 3. Post pic of the Launching page In LB >Tools >Manage >Emulators and edit the emulator you are using for Neo Geo games 1. Post pic of Details page 2. Post pic of Associated Platforms page.

You cannot directly alter the Default theme so you need to copy its folder and rename the new copy. Then you can edit that. In the new theme's \Views folder edit the GameDetailsView.xaml. I have not looked in the Default theme in a long while but typically animations are controlled by a Storyboard. In the view xaml look for a section of Code either labeled <!-- Storyboards --> or search for the word Storybaord. You would want to edit the timing there. There may be multiple storyboards so you would want to look at what it is triggering.
-
Feedback about the Default theme aside, to get help with customizing a theme and even really learning to do basic coding we have a support thread for xaml coding. Please use that instead of starting another thread that will provide the same information already going.

Never cracked one of those open, but I assume like any other pc type of build you can open it and wire in longer power switch lead to it and mount that switch externally on the cabinet. These are what I use in my builds, but I also do not use any pc cases and just mount the pc and fans as part of the cabinet build. Makes moving and servicing/upgrading easier. Cabinet (monitor/pc power) are all powered by an external connector (the connector has a power switch but that only turns power on and off) and to turn on the pc (boot it) I just hit the button. I do it this way so I do not have to shut down overall power to reboot.

Nah its void because he sold you a machine with a bad license. He was likely using the license he purchased and putting it in all the builds and illegally selling it like he was illegally selling roms. Good to hear its out of business. Only legitimate license comes from our site. Just go into the \Launhcobx folder and delete the license.
-
This means the license you have located in the \Launchbox folder is one known to be shared/altered. Remove the license and you can continue to use the Free version. If you wish to properly support our developers purchase a license directly from our site. If you do feel this is an error email support@unbrokensoftware.com and advise of the situation.

Missing files from Mame roms typically means you are running an outdated mame set against a newer version of Mame or you grabbed random roms or a mixed set of roms from some random site. To ensure Mame runs properly it is typically best to download a Mame rom set from a good site (best place is Google "pleasuredome io" and it will be the first site listed). Then run that current rom set against the matching version of Mame. Recommend reading this.

Terminator 2 the Arcade Game not importing
Retro808 replied to BogardFatal's topic in Troubleshooting
It should import fine. The screens you see usually means it was already imported. Run through the import process again and check to box to "import duplicate". The game could be imported under another game (as an additional app/game) or if you have any of the "hide games missing" options check in LB it could be already imported but hidden. Either way try to reimport and check the "import duplicate" as mentioned. -
Confused as to why games lose theming.
Retro808 replied to Stewbie67's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
Because that is just a BB theme and not an overlay (or bezel) for when an emulator is running a game. BB does not stay running over top of emulation displaying UI elements. When a game is launched the emulator takes focus so you would need some sort of emulator overlay to accomplish what you need. Both Mame and Retroarch can do this. Plenty of resources to get these set-up just Google or Youtube "vertical bezels"- 1 reply

What ever emulator you are using open it and check the control mappings. All in game functions are handled by the emulator not LB. So it is likely you have buttons bound to multiple functions.

Still no luck getting LB to start a stella game immediately.
Retro808 replied to paulwgraber's topic in Troubleshooting
Is this the Associated Platforms tab for Stella? It looks like Retroarch (>Tools >Manage >Emulators and edit Stella). Also not sure you need the command line parameter in there. Stella has a setting for fullscreen I believe. If so one issue is you do not have Atari 2600 listed. When you add an emulator you need to be sure to list the platform it is associated with or LB cannot work properly. So you need to click in the empty cell in the bottom and enter your Atari 2600 platform name. Unless it is just further up the list and you are not showing it. -
You are talking the same thing. The rounded corners are part of the new theme that was released with the latest LB updates. When the team releases a change to the Default theme they leave the old version in and typically rename that one Old Default. That Old Default theme remains available for licensed and free users to choose from. If you do not like the new changes you have the option to use to older style.
-
Good to hear you sorted it, probably not many users interested. Honesty did not look like anything really special other than a pre-setup Retroarch for shoot'em ups.

Still no luck getting LB to start a stella game immediately.
Retro808 replied to paulwgraber's topic in Troubleshooting
1. Can you run the game directly in Stella without using LB? 2. You state using Stella, when you right click a game in LB and edit it (edit metadata and media), does Stella show up in the Emulation tab or Retroarch? 3. Can you post a pic of the "Associated Platforms" tab when you go to >Tools >Manage >Emulators and edit Stella. Is your standalone Stella in a Cores folder inside Retroarch folder? Only asking as your path looks funny \Cores\Stella\Stella.exe. That cores folder just makes me think of Retroarch.
