LaunchBox Pause Screen not showing with Dolphin
Retro808 replied to plarwood's topic in Troubleshooting
No issues here. Settings match what you are showing. Any chance you are running Dolphin as Admin? Make sure all your drivers are updated. In your Graphics settings are you using Vulkan or something else? I am running Vulkan without issue but also just tested the others and Pause works. -
Just import linking it to Retroarch and not Mame. This will get them in. Then when done go into the Neo Geo CD platform and select all games and right click >Open Bulk Edit Wizard. Choose "Emulator" in the "Field" drop down box and then in the "Value" box select Mame. This will not assign all the game to Mame. Using Mame as the import emulator it is looking at arcade metadata.
-
Best thing is to set a button combo for exit. Like Start + Select.
-
After the import does it say "0" games added? If so it means it was already added. If you have any of the "Hide Games Missing" options checked LB may have hidden it. To easily tell reimport the game and check the box for "Force Import Duplicate". It should add it then.

On the new Bigbox Default Theme, can I move the notes box?
Retro808 replied to Bedwyr's topic in Troubleshooting
You would have to make edits to the theme's code. So some coding knowledge (or trial and error) would be needed. In order to do so you must first copy the Default theme's folder then rename the new copy to whatever you want. You can then proceed to edit that new theme to make any changes you want. Then use that as your new theme. The Default theme can never be edited directly. -
Found a GREAT source for instruction books and box art on Archive site
Retro808 replied to Fugus's topic in Game Media
Removed your link since Archive site contains roms and forum rules does not allow for posting links to sites that do contain roms. -
Community Theme Creator keeps closing
Retro808 replied to Jass_167's topic in Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Released)
Best bet is to post in his thread directly as it really seems like support is coming from his Patreon based on last few post in that thread. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/51909-community-theme-creator/ -
Area 51 and other mame roms needing chds not working
Retro808 replied to Scott82236's topic in Troubleshooting
The CHD is no different than the zipped rom data. It all depends on what was updated during the new Mame release. If a CHD was not updated in several revisions than it can run fine. -
You would have to edit the theme and either change an existing FlowControl property or add a property to it to stop the endless scroll. If you are using the Default theme you cannot edit it. You would have to copy the theme's folder and then rename the new copy to what ever you want. Then you can edit that theme and use it. You would need to edit the view xaml for the view you use. Look for the FlowControl of the view (there is only one so finding it is pretty easy). You need to either change the existing Endless property to false, or add a Endless="False" property to the FlowControl.

Yeah news on the 4K has been out for about a good 10 months now and still no final price. Its definitely interesting what it can do.

Good luck with that HD. Just note we typically do not troubleshoot premade builds like that for several reasons. I hope if you are using a licensed LB you bought the license from us and not that illegal rom seller.
-
You purchased a Launchbox HD? Do you mean you bought a HD already set-up with LB and games? Set these up as in for moving around in LB/BB or for in game play? For in game play you need to map controls directly in each emulator. In LB or BB in the options there is a specific controller mapping section, but those are only for use within LB/BB UI.

It is quick. Usually within the minute. Check your spam folder or try a second email account. If you still have issues email support@unbrokensoftware.com and advise of the issue.

Stop Video Marquee Looping
Retro808 replied to Modernfx's topic in Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Released)
Not sure which plugin you are referring to as there are 2 different marquee monitor plugins on our forum. So, probably better to ask in the thread for the actual plug-in so the developer will see it easier. -
Best answer is to not use RA for Mame. Their core is crap. Use standalone mame. Most likely issue as to why you cannot get LB to launch mame games through RA is you have the option to extract rom ticked Edit Retroarch in LB (>Tools >Manage >Emulators) and see if you have the box checked to "Extract Rom archive before running" checked. If so, uncheck it.
-
Do not need a script. Just bind your controller buttons in LB/BB. LB/BB will exit many emulators using an Xbox controller easily. In LB bind to the option for "Exit Game" and it can be a 2 button combo. In BB bind for the option listed as "Close Active Window". BB has the option to bind for a 2 button combo as well.

Sale is over. Price is back to normal. There will likely be another one in November. There is sometimes a Black Friday sale.
-
1. Edit Retroarch in LB (>Tools >Manage >Emulators) and see if you have the box checked to "Extract Rom archive before running" checked. If so, uncheck it. 2. Use standalone Mame. RA Mame is crap.

Sale ended on Sept 1.

You can create a “Platform Category” and call it “Playlists” and add them all there. “Platforms” are only for imported games.

New seperate Plattform | Only for Light Gun Games. How can i do this?
Retro808 replied to TJ_on_Launchbox's topic in Noobs
What exactly do you mean? Creating playlists for shooter games or any other game type still works. Perhaps explain exactly what you are doing and show pics. -

Root Element Missing Error when importing MAME Roms
Retro808 replied to jmy102's topic in Troubleshooting
What version is the Mame executable you are using? I believe this is the error spit out if someone tries to use the full mame import against an older version of the Mame executable or when using an "unofficial" Mame emulator.
