  1. Did you recently change the "Arcade" name to "Mame"? Doing so would cause what you are seeing. You can easily fix. If you are going to keep the "Mame" platform name: 1. Close LB. 2. Go into your \Launchbox\Data\Playlists\ folder and delete all the playlist xaml files that start with Arcade (such as "Arcade Light Gun.xaml). For safey I would not delete but move them to an external folder for now). 3. Open LB then right click on "Mame" and choose "Create Missing Arcade/Mame Playlists" and run the wizard again. All your playlists should return and be filled properly. At least this is how I fixed it when I did this a while back. Or if you simply rename "Mame" back to "Arcade" the existing playlists will repopulate. Just tested both these steps and they worked.

    Updating MAME

Most current listed full CHD is showing at 935GB. Honestly though you do not need that full set as there are only around 130 CHD games listed as working. You can actually just download the CHD files for the working games or for just the games you want. If you imported a full Mame rom set then you just need to make sure you file the CHD in the Mame location in the correct way or if you place them somewhere else just be sure to open Mame and tell it where you put them.
  3. LB does not recognize multiple different controllers. So it does not see for example Joy1 and Joy2. So for the time being you cannot map functions to different controllers. You can bind a function to 2 buttons at the same time. So that will give you some more options to bind to. Just select the item and hit both buttons.
  4. I do not know how Android works with single mame roms as I do not use it. Since the Android build is newer Jason may have added better single rom logic to it. For LB on Windows importing a single Mame rom LB only imports that file. If you import just tmnt2.zip that is all LB sees. It does not see inside the zip. It does not know its a merged rom and contains the clones.
  5. Right click the game and select edit. Post a pic of the Launching tab and the Emulation tab. Would be helpful to see what is there. Seems like you might be pointing to a wrong file or file type.
  6. I might be misunderstanding but when you add just one game (a single rom file) any clones of it will not show up because you did not add them. You need to also select the clones to add them in. The individual rom import option actually imports the rom or roms you actually selected. So if you only select one rom LB only imports one. This differs from the Full Mame Import option because that feature does not actually import files. It pulls the list of games from the Mame.xaml generated by the version of Mame you use. LB confirms you do indeed have a full set of Mame roms then just generates a list of games based of the xaml so it imports everything related.
  7. Your second video does not work. Looking at your original video you just need to go into that platform with the stacked box view and change its view to match the other views you are using. In your BB settings under controller mapping or keyboard mapping look to see if you have a button mapped to the option for "Change View" if you do use that button (if you do not map one) and then go back to that platform with the stacked boxes and hit the button/key to change the view until you get it to the one that matches. Additionally if you never want platforms to have the possibility of different views go into BB settings under Views and uncheck that option.
  8. Yes, manually add the emulator. The wizard that pops up will have options to do this. YOu can just manually type the name of the platform. You are not stuck to what is in the dropdown. I would recommend not calling your platform Mame. I would call it Arcade. Tends to be a cleaner install especially when custom themes tend to use the name "Arcade" for platform images.
  9. If you are trying to use the "Mame Full Rom Set" import option and you only have a few roms that is the issue. The Full Set importer is only for, well... a full set of Mame roms. If you are importing only a few roms (and they run in Mame) then just drag and drop the rom zip files into LB and then follow the import options that pop up.
  10. I can try to remake this template. Its been over 3 years now since I messed with these and the drive this was one crashed. It was one of the only drives I did not have being backed up for some dumb reason. I will see what I can get done for you. EDIT: Here are the 2 files. It was a quick put together as I have to head out of town for work. So these should fill the gap on these 2 for now for you. There are some very slight differences as I could not remember drop shadow, gradient, and some positional settings I did in the original. When I return from my business trip I will try and sit down to see if I can refine the template more and then post it. Cannot promise any ETA. My time at home is short before next trips. 11. @Dr_Wolfman What version LB are you on? Latest betas had a fix in it that I think was helping address some users not being able to eject external drives that LB was running from. If you are on a version prior to 13.7 you can either try the beta and see if it helps or wait until the next stable release.
  12. Not sure what issues you are having but TP ran games are easier than they have ever been to run. They are also easy to import into LB. I would recommend getting more recent dumps of games. Most games can run directly in TP and no longer need additional loaders.
  13. I have not seen a tool like that and I think you are only the second or third person on our forum I have ever seen ask for creating playlists based off a folder structure. So it's been a pretty niche request.
  14. Just make note saving for games is emulator specific F1 (you are probably using Retroarch) may not always bring up a menu. LB has nothing to do with this.
  15. Right Click game >Edit >Add to Playlist >Choose Favorites You can also just click on the "Favorites" (heart icon) in the game details pane.
  16. LB/BB Can display additional images/metadata on a second screen natively. However, the default right now only display videos/images. If you want game information and the like you would just need to have code a custom view to display what you want. What exactly are you wanting to see on the screen? There are a couple plugins that can be used to choose what media you want, but I do not think they cover displaying game information.
  17. You can bind certain functions to a gamepad (such as exiting a game) in the >Tools >Options >Game Controller >Mappings section. A) Exiting with a gamepad see prior answer. Exiting with a keyboard would be any standard exit from an emulator such as "Escape" LB is more of the Windows (keybaord and mouse) frontend so it works really like any other standard UI using a keyboard. Nothing really to bind for a keyboard. B) In game save are all emulator specific and set-up in each emulator. LB. does not control this. C) No manuals. Just ask the forum.
  18. LB/BB does not natively support 3 screens. You would need to use one of the plugins for that.
  19. Default image in exactly which spot? If you are talking about in the middle pane of LB where the game list is you can set the image type per platform. If you have multiple images of a specific type you cannot tell LB which one of those to always display. You would have to have only 1 image. As far as setting a specific image type as the default just select a platform and in the top left of the window look for "Image Group" and select what image type you want as the default display for that platform. As mentioned you can set each platform to a different type.
  20. Working fine on my builds and my test machine. The download prompt appears and even the notification bell shows an update is available. What theme are you using?
  21. Look in the themes Views folder \Launchbox\Themes\[Name of theme\Views\ If you are using the Default theme you cannot edit it. You would have to copy the Default theme's folder and then rename the new copy to what ever you want. Then you can edit that theme and use it. You would need to edit the view xaml for the view you use (Check your BigBox settings >options >Views to see what view you are using). Once you figured out the view type return to the theme's \Views folder and right click > Edit that view's xaml file. You can edit in something like Notepad++ or even Notepad (Notepad++ gives a better coding style look to the document). Once opened search for "coverFlow:FlowControl" (there is only one so finding it is pretty easy). You need to either change the existing Endless property to false, or add a Endless="False" property to the FlowControl. The section should look like this: <!-- WHEEL --> <coverFlow:FlowControl x:Name="FlowControl" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" Grid.Column="3" Grid.ColumnSpan="4" Grid.Row="0" Grid.RowSpan="8" CoverFactory="{Binding CoverFactory}" ImageType="Clear Logos" CurveAmount="-2.5" CameraZPosition="3.2" VisibleCount="16" PageSize="6" Spacing="0.9" ItemZPosition="0.7" SelectedItemZPosition="1.1" Panel.ZIndex="20" RotationAmount="12" Margin="100,0,0,0"> <coverFlow:FlowControl.Opacity>100</coverFlow:FlowControl.Opacity> <coverFlow:FlowControl.Effect> <DropShadowEffect BlurRadius="10" Direction="-90" RenderingBias="Quality" ShadowDepth="1" /> </coverFlow:FlowControl.Effect> </coverFlow:FlowControl> In this section of that code you will notice it does not have an Endless property. So you would at it. <coverFlow:FlowControl x:Name="FlowControl" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" Grid.Column="3" Grid.ColumnSpan="4" Grid.Row="0" Grid.RowSpan="8" CoverFactory="{Binding CoverFactory}" ImageType="Clear Logos" CurveAmount="-2.5" CameraZPosition="3.2" VisibleCount="16" PageSize="6" Spacing="0.9" ItemZPosition="0.7" SelectedItemZPosition="1.1" Panel.ZIndex="20" RotationAmount="12" Margin="100,0,0,0"> So it should now look like this (see Enless="False" at the end of the line. Save the file and you should be good to go. <coverFlow:FlowControl x:Name="FlowControl" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" Grid.Column="3" Grid.ColumnSpan="4" Grid.Row="0" Grid.RowSpan="8" CoverFactory="{Binding CoverFactory}" ImageType="Clear Logos" CurveAmount="-2.5" CameraZPosition="3.2" VisibleCount="16" PageSize="6" Spacing="0.9" ItemZPosition="0.7" SelectedItemZPosition="1.1" Panel.ZIndex="20" RotationAmount="12" Margin="100,0,0,0" Endless="False">
  22. I must be missing something or misunderstanding your request as I just gave you a tutorial on 3 ways to do just that. Any of those steps will give you Genres showing under a platform.
  23. That error speaks for itself. It means you already have a playlist with that unique name. You can use the same unique name several times just need to make sure you change the "nested name" field to differ the playlists from each other.
