  1. I checked to see if I had any problems with Dolphin, turns out, I have a problem with EVERY emulator. I had to disable the "Game Startup Screen" for every emulator. If enabled, I loose my mouse cursor, I see a 2nd process for LB as Startup running, but nothing else ever happens. Even if I kill LB, only way to get mouse cursor back is reboot PC. UPDATE: Found the problem, it was actually the Startup Theme being used
  2. I am not sure but is looking like a good possibility another issue, open LB and using the context menu, click on "edit" any game. Leave that open and navigate to your image olders and select a Clear Logo folder with png files in it. Then just start clicking on some on some of the png files and open them with Windows Photo, most of the time they open correctly, but sometimes it only opens a black box (Windows Photo), when this happens, if you close the "edit" game dialog in LB, the png appears in the black box (windows Photo). Can anyone else confirm this?
  3. I would suggest to just make a copy of your LB folder, then install. That way you can revert back by just changing the copied directory's name
  4. Just wanted to add something else that is occurring for me, I am editing posters of one of my platforms, one at a time, today it seems the more I edit, the more LB just keeps shutting down on its own, I will click OK, then poof, LB is gone. Have to re-open it and start again, might do 5 games, might do 30 games, then POOF again....hahaha
  5. You should be able to install from your LB updates folder
  6. This post should be moved to the 11.3-beta-1 thread, I mean the entire issue, not just this single post
  7. I agree with this part 100%, I am having to make a copy of the video folder before I do any work on a new system imported, go through the system and then go back again to try to fix just the videos so I don't have them deleted on me. If you have 2 games trying to use the same video from the import process, and go to edit one of them, that is the one it gets attached to. If you click the Remove, poof it is gone from both games when it is deleted It would be so much better if when you click the remove button, you were given an option to either permanently remove it or just remove it from the game you are editing. Or just add another button on the dialog to "Not Use" or something
  8. I found if I uncheck the item, I can move it, but not the items checked. Thanks for the reply
  9. Just tried to import a Epic game, doesn't find new game.
  10. I am not able to move media items up or down in the settings. When you move the mouse off of them, they are not staying selected.
  11. I am getting this error as well, on both same HDD (games are not in LB folder) as LB and NAS drives
  12. I am using VLC v3.0.11. I have a hunch, but not been able to confirm it yet. I think it may be something happening during the import and scraping process and having tables (roms) with similar names. For example, I have a couple different versions of Jaws tables, one is named maybe "Jaws" and another named "Jaws (Ultimate)". Sometimes there may be 3 or 4 versions of the same table. When LB scrapes, most of the time it will add them as say just "Jaws" if it is found in the LB DB or how ever many version there might be. If I have a video snap already in the video folder, and it may be named Jaws (Williams).mp4, sometimes they will both use it. Then I come along and try to edit them. I edit the "Jaws (Ultimate)" to say that, so I know the difference when I am browsing them, I am also creating the custom posters for each of them. When I choose OK after editing everything, it renames the video snap to something like "Jaws (ULTIMATE).de468703-b26d-4d37-84bf-b395bab12200-01.mp4" with all the extra characters. I don't know if this has something to do with it or not. Or maybe if the "(" and ")" in the names have anything to do with it or even a combination, really don't know...maybe this will give you some ideas???
  13. I think we need a new context menu item for videos now. Like we have "Open Games Folder" and "Open Images Folder". We need a "Open Videos Folder" as well. JMO
  14. I imported 1000+ Future Pinball tables and that all went fine. There isn't a lot of posters for them, so I created a template and am throwing the clear logo of the table on it to make my own posters. Here is what is sometimes happening to me though: If I have a video snap for a particular table/rom, it starts playing as it should. I will then bring up the context menu and select Edit. I will copy the Title, then save my poster as "nameoftable-01.jpg" to make sure they match. Then select OK and the edit dialog box goes away as it should and my new poster shows just fine. All is good with that part. So I move on to the next one missing a poster. It goes fine for a while, then..... Sometimes after doing one with a video snap, when I click on another game, the audio for the video snap that was playing, never stops. Even if I select another game with a different video snap, it will show the newly select game's video, but is still playing the audio from the video snap it gets stuck on PLUS the audio of the 2nd video as well. The only way I can stop it, is to close LB, wait for it to do it's backup stuff and then it will finally stop. It is happening quite often, maybe 3-4 times in my editing 25 games. I added a video to show what it is doing, even after I close LB (when it is just show black screen at the end, you can continue hearing the audio as LB does it's auto backup) I still can't find any particular thing triggering it yet.... Still on Win 10 v1903, all my drivers are up-to-date as well. @Jason Carr Is there anything you can think of I can check or test????? VIDEO EXAMPLE 2020-07-20 08-35-38.mkv
  15. @CriticalCid: Not sure if is of any help Cid, but I was successful with it yesterday with the one of the free games from Epic. Is it possible game related in any way? BTW, still on Windows 1909. Just some feedback
  16. I know the official version has been released, but thought maybe I should post here since it comes from changes in this beta version. Something that would be really nice is when you are running the Media Cleanup (and it takes so long to run), you are able to minimize LB, currently you can minimize it's cleanup progress window, but it isn't doesn't minimize LB along with it as most apps do.
  17. 1. When I would add say a windows game manually, I would start with clicking the "ADD" button, then I would go to the browse to enter the path to the game, most of the time if the games executable was the same as the game title, it would auto populate the Title for ya. All you would have to do is click on the search for media button. Now when I do the same procedure, I have to copy and paste the title of the game into the title field before I can search for the media (and now they are in 2 different places) 2. When I finish adding a game manually, use to, when you would click OK, the dialog box would go away and return you to LB, but it would focus on the game you just added. Now it just returns you back to the top.
  18. @Jason Carr: Hey Jason, I know sometimes some of us may complain about some of the changes (me included), and sometimes you catch a bunch of flack from some of the community, but I want ya to know I thing you do an incredible job with most of your decisions. A couple things that worked in LB 10 that I miss though are, when you add a new game manually, it would try to guess the name of the game and fill it in for you and it would also focus on that game when you said OK. Will those things come back as you work on this beta? You do an absolutely incredible job with LB, be proud dude, I know even most of complainers are....haha
  19. It is much more work and time to add games manually that's for sure, I agree with Mr.Laor so far. I just added a couple Windows games and it didn't find default videos I had previously placed in appropriate folder. The .webm extension wasn't in the default extensions, had to change drop-down to "all files" to find them. (I get a lot of videos from Steam). I'm sure that is an easy fix though. Also noticed when you add a game manually, LB doesn't refresh to where the newly added game is, you have to scroll down to find it
  20. Only other things I can find on my system is I am using a 32gb Optane module for a internal 8TB drive and LB itself is on that drive (not the media). I do have the drive with the media attached to NAS using SMB share so I don't have multiple copies of TB's of data. Anything similar on your end?
  21. I am trying to see if I can find the issue, looking into if maybe it is because I am storing the media on a raid drive that is mapped. How about you?
  22. @Jason Carr Thanks Jason, I think you're probably right, it might be a permissions issue, I definitively need to look into that, again thank you sir.
  23. It's cool, I mentioned this as well. Actually, even in previous releases.
  24. LOL, not angry at all. Since this is something to do with beta, should it not be posted here? New Feature: The Clean Up Media process has a new option to scan images for rough matches. This new option can make the clean up media process take an extremely long time, but will save you loads of disk space in your collection, especially if you download media both from the LaunchBox Games Database and from EmuMovies. The process identifies duplicate images in your collection even if they are different sizes, faded, etc. The largest duplicate image is kept, and the rest are listed for deletion. But surely not angry at all, hope it doesn't appear that way. Just reporting. Screenshots are from 2nd attempt
  25. @Jason Carr: Hey Jason, I just tried running the Clean Up Media process using the new option to scan images for rough matches. After a few hours of scanning (large collection), I noticed the MOVE option. So I gave it a whirl assuming it would allow me to move the files to a directory rather than deleting them, it prompted me for a directory and I selected one I created for it, then it gave me a message that only 2 files were moved, it couldn't move the rest as they were in use. BTW, my most of my media is NOT stored in the default locations. I checked the folder that was used for the "move to", and nothing was there, not even the 2 files. I am scanning again, thought I would let ya know.
