i was thinking for playlists, or anything that doesnt have a custom theme, could we have an opening animation using whatever clear logo is present?

Not bad. One thing to consider is that for platform/playlist backgrounds, you do not want any assets to overlap the video area as when a game's custom background is loaded, the assets will remain partially visible and will kind of have a messy look... check out some of the ones I have shared for reference. Keep up the good work.

So in my quest to have EVERY Final Fantasy Game in my Launchbox/Big Box Library, I have encountered a little problem. The Steam Versions of Final Fantasy all have these launchers. Any way to bypass this so I can remain 'controller only"? I have tried the rename executable trick, but that starts the games in a window rather full screen. Any thoughts?
